Great offer to upgrade at a small upcharge - worth it given the view of downtown SF. Staff was great and check in and out was seamless
Great location, clean facilities, nice staff, comfortable bed
Food pricing was expensive, 1 electric bike was broken
Bad value for money
Nice hotel in general
The check in was one our delayed and the people in the front desk were not very servicial. Since it’s in the top part of the city, walking with kids or senior people is complicated. Breakfast options are not really option, it forces you to buy the full buffet.
Nice stay and only getting better
The room size, hotel location, and hotel bar.
Confusing layout, couldnt easily located the front desk for check in (temp location due to redecorating.) Also, booked a king, was given a queen with a "better/more expensive view" not cleared with us before. It was too late to change rooms when that was offered.
location
the price related to the poor quality
Construction was very inconvenient will definitely not come back until it's completely remodeled.
Very helpful staff.
Under renovations
The room was great and the bedding was fantastic. The staff was great, very helpful. Location was ideal.
Since we were there during the renovation, there were no shops, etc. They had shampooed the carpet in the halls the day we arrived and there remained a wet rug smell throughout our stay.
Girls weekend
Beautiful hotel! Friendly staff, clean rooms, super comfy beds, great shower/bathroom set up! Would stay here every time I came to SF!
Excellent location!!
Stanford Court hotel was in a terrific location. Cable car intersection right out the front door was super cool. The lobby and bar were upscale and clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a boutique hotel in San fransisco.
The room size was a little small for the money, and you could hear everything from the hallway and surrounding rooms.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, EVERYONE IN THE LOBBY WAS VERY HELPFUL AND KIND. HOTEL WAS CLEAN, AND PROVIDES A FRESH SMELL AS YOU WALK IN. I LOVED THE WATER BOTTLES TO GET PURIFIED WATER AS YOU WALK IN OR LEAVE.
Disappointing!
Location
Mandatory "urban bundle fee" of $20+ per night, even if you don't use or want the services. Housekeeping was bad -- there was a half full highball glass in the hallway outside our room for our entire stay. When we arrived on a December evening the room temperature was set to 54 degrees with cold air blasting in. Overall not a friendly or welcoming environment, unfortunately.
Stanford Court San Francisco is a beautiful boutique hotel that is named after railroad tycoon Leland Stanford, who helped lay the first tracks for the first intercontinental railroad. Today, the Stanford Court San Francisco sits at the city's only intersection of the famous cable car lines.
This hotel is also a patron of the arts. Guests can visit an art gallery in the Stanford and see all kinds of pieces from both local and international artists. In a unique twist, visitors can use electronic kiosks throughout the gallery to purchase the art pieces and have them automatically sent back home when they leave.
Each of the rooms here is named after different stages of the tech startup phase, in an appropriate nod to the city's close association with Silicon Valley. The rooms have been given fun names like the Startup, Incubator, Accelerator, Skyline, and Enterprise. All of the rooms come with amenities like HD television and a minifridge, but the Enterprise has a separate living or work area from the bedroom.
Hungry guests at Stanford Court San Francisco can simply head over to Seven Stills Nob Hill. This is a combination of a gastropub and a distillery with an emphasis on delicious craft whiskeys. Visitors will find the menu is split into Heads, Hearts, and Tails, which each correlate to appetizers, entrées, and desserts. The signature item on the menu is the steak & whiskey flight, but there are several other excellent dishes here as well, such as the grilled Atlantic salmon with caper sauce and the rubbed & rye, a coffee-rubbed ribeye.
