After booking and paying for the room online we arrived late that evening only to be told we needed to place a deposit. Since this was the last night of our trip, our cards were maxed out. No mention of this before hand. Very lame. No more Super 8s for us when we just need a place to crash.
Strictly functional, for the low-fuss traveler
Good Beds, working AC, nice free breakfast begins early. relatively cleaner, newer bathroom. Nice TV. The staff was always there in the lobby so that was good.
The room floor was HORRIBLY grimy and dirty. No Carpet, just grimy floor. Didn't want my 1 year old roaming around so moved the beds a little to make a big area for him to play. Found SO much dirt underneath. They need to pay their cleaners more or hire better staff. First time in the NorCal area, so didn't realize how much "recreational" smoking we would see. People smoke everywhere around the hotel, so the non-smoking room doesn't mean much.
Friendly when checking us in. Our king room was big and roomy.
Breakfast was very disappointing. What was left wasn't very good. Almost everything was out and not getting restocked. It didnt look like it had ever been stocked and we had over an hour left before breakfast ended. I've never seen brown orange juice before. It was an older hotel, and the bathroom needed some cleaning and repair. Lots of traffic noise.
