Marriott Titanium here. This hotel is OK. In a more competitive market this hotel wouldn't be a Marriott. Seems like it just makes it up to that minimum standard. The rates reflect that so it's an OK deal. Hard to believe they haven't tor it down ore rebranded. That's construction costs for you. If you want a full service hotel that is actually four stars then maybe go elsewhere.

Pros (+) Valet parking and shuttle downtown was great
Cons (-) Room, didn’t feel like traditional Marriott pillows that I’m used too. First room had a crappy roof view. They did move us to a view of the pool and highway at the end but the WiFi didn’t work down there. Bar service was bad and the weakest $15 hotel bar martini I’ve ever had. Wife’s drink was also void of alcohol and it was just vodka and sprite.

Pros (+) Hotel is in a great area and has nice rooms.
Cons (-) Check in is at 3pm. I showed up after 4pm and my room was still not ready. The next morning I ate breakfast went back to my room and somehow I was checked out of my room. It was inconvenient since I had to be at the airport at 10am.

Pros (+) staff is very nice.
Cons (-) First, had to move rooms, heat not working in the first. Second room, some TV channels not working. The place is newly renovated but the work is marginal in places, for example, in my room the composite floor planks (no carpet) had gaps to the subfloor. Been at this hotel a number of times, not sure its the same.

Cons (-) noisy room, clicking sound all night, I was in a room located behind the elevators so I heard them running THE ENTIRE NIGHT. Updated hotel but I doubt I'd stay there again.

Pros (+) I love staying at the Walnut Creek Marriott! Every time I stay there the staff shows the most gracious hospitality. I always feel like I'm visiting friends every time I'm there. I am very particular about the hotels I stay in, and this is by far my favorite one. My room is always clean, and the area is always quiet. I can't think of a problem I've had that the Marriott staff resolved without issue...
