Cons: Room rather small and no eggs at breakfast!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean, the staff were all helpful. Good location.
Cons: The only thing that I would have changed is that we both like a softer mattress, and I like softer pillows. But it wasn’t too bad, we still slept quite well.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice rooms in a local pub which is popular with the locals. Just a stones throw from the promenade and the golf courses. Food here is of a good quality, well priced and portions are huge!!. Rooms are secure, clean and well presented. Shower is great.
Cons: The main dining / breakfast area looks a little more cafe than restaurant which may put some people off. The quality of the food more than makes up for this lack of decor.

Pros: Great location on the High Street but was still quiet at night. It was dog friendly which suited us because we had a dog. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the family room was large with a small sofa and television. There is also a carpark at the rear. Best of all was the superb breakfast.
Cons: We stayed in February and the room was quite cold. There was an extra heater but still a bit chilly as one of the windows didn’t quite shut properly. The beds were too firm for me, but if you like a firm mattress then that would be fine.

Pros: We booked this last minute and as it was valentine's weekend we thought we would be staying somewhere quiet standard - we couldn't have been more wrong! We were warmly welcomed by Phil, the owner and showed to our large room with a huge bathroom suite that was spotlessly clean and had a beautiful view of the sea and golf course. The bed was so comfortable and the linen was high quality. Breakfast both days was gorgeous and Phil even went to Arbroath for some 'smokies' for my partner's breakfast on our second morning. The Sea View Guesthouse is situated on a quiet street but is very close to the town and all it's amenities. We were thrilled with our choice of accommodation and will definitely return. Thank you Phill

Pros: The property was fine, good view and a nice looking room. The owner was also flexible over the breakfast time.
Cons: I was told the room wasnt paid for and had to pay at the property, but I realised I had already paid so paid twice and went back. The owner admitted it was his mistake, but to be fair to him the virtual card process didnt seem very good at alerting the owner the room was paid for. I hope my refund goes through soon. The window in the bedroom was open upon arrival and it's october. We were a bit chilly, I think the heating could have been on more often.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.

Pros: Nice hotel plenty of parking good food
6.0 Good
Pros: location fine for town, and there are a few restaurants near by. The room was clean and the staff were very pleasant. The choice at breakfast was amply and it tasted as good as it looked. I only had dinner one evening and there was plenty of choice.
Cons: my only problem came when I asked them about my allergy to onions garlic and leeks to find out what I could eat of the menu. I enjoyed the meals they prepared for me but unfortunately they must have got it wrong as I spent the whole night very unwell. I spoke to the food manager who said he would check with the chef but I am still waiting on a reply. Not very satisfactory. If you have an intolerance or food allergy make sure double check it could save you the pain or even your life.

8.2 Excellent
Pros: Stylish hotel in a good location, friendly staff. Close to the waterfront and handy if you want to do a little shopping during your stay. Gorgeous grand staircase that any girl can imagine herself floating down like a princess! Ditch the lift and take the stairs! Contemporary bar with a cosy, intimate feel, enjoyed sampling the cocktails in there. Check in/out was fast, efficient and friendly. Found the staff to be informative and helpful.
Cons: Would have been an excellent overnight stay but for one or two little niggles. The room was lovely, unfortunately some construction noise from the building site across the road...not the hotels fault, although it was an upgraded room. The glass topped desk & tables are a curse for the housekeeping staff as they show up all the bits they hadn't cleaned from the previous guests. Dinner in the Brasserie was lovely, but the rice that came with my curry although nice and fluffy on top, unfortunately was sitting in water from half way down the bowl and they hadn't deveined the prawn.
7.0 Good
Cons: Very poor lighting the our room, very dim
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, quiet and and very clean room. Overall a very nice hotel.
Cons: The room was a little dark and the furnishings tend to accentuate this. The duvet on the bed was somewhat oversized for summer and it was hard to get the room cool enough. To be fair, I did not ask to have it changed.

Pros: Friendly staff. Room was comfortable however slight small. Good meal in bar on Saturday evening with friendly attentive staff.
