Situated on Majorca's pretty east coast, the purpose built resort of Sa Coma is a great place to spend some quality time away with the family. The calm, turquoise waters of the Mediterranean which meet the gently sloping beach offer an ideal playground for children of all ages to splash around in.
Sa Coma's glorious Mediterranean climate means it is blessed with long, hot and dry summers (with around 300 days of sunshine a year) as well as mild winters. Its location on Majorca’s east coast ensures Sa Coma is a little warmer and drier than other parts of the island. The reason for this is that the mountains in the island’s centre protect the resort from any inclement weather coming in from the north or the west. Indeed it is quite possible for it to be windy and rainy on one side of the island while still being sunny and calm on the other. The time zone is GMT +2.
As well as there being lots to see and do around the beach area, Sa Coma holidays have plenty of other attractions to keep visitors of all ages suitably amused and entertained. For instance, there is a go-karting track and a number of mini-golf courses elsewhere in the resort, while just up the road there are plenty of animals to see at the Cala Millor Safari-Zoo. A pony trekking centre right by the beach as well as the fact nearly all of the local restaurants offer special menus for children makes it clear to see why Sa Coma is the first choice destination for so many families.
