2+ star hotel at 4 star pricing

Clean and nice room Good location

The first room we were given was a corner room facing 2 busy streets. The street noise was unacceptable. We paid for a deluxe room but this one had only a double bed in it. After strongly complaining we were move to an inside room that had a King bed it in. This room was very nice.

Dirty, Dirty,Dirty with a bad customer service

I have been in too many hotels but i can totally say that this one is the worst i have ever been, poor customer service the guy at the reception was with an attitude, the room was discusting filthy and has a really bad smell, and on the way to the room the was a sewage smell all the way to the door. Terrible hotel

Was a bit surprised at the issues honestly

Looked great online but failed to meet expectatio a.

Tiny rooms, had to refute several charges on the bill and the rooms on the ground floor were shockingly noisy from the lobby. The shuttle we asked them to book did not arrive and had to locate our own ride to the airport and while the staff was lovely to deal with found myself having to deal with them over issues I wouldn't have expected from a hotel of that alleged caliber. My wife and I were charged for breakfast which we expressly opted out of upon check in and never ate. The rooms were tiny by American standards and the bedding and pillows were lousy. During our three night two day stay our room was never serviced and the walls and doors being so thin means any noise or movement in the hallways is clearly audible and that got old quick.

    Good hotel with great location

The location was great. The breakfast was good as well.

The rooms are small but that's normal for Europe. Also I wish they had access for strollers and wheelchairs. The other issue currently is the construction in front of the hotel.

    DO NOT BOOK HERE!

Long story short... Showed up at 8:30 PM to check in and was turned away to another hotel (much further away and in a bad location) even though we had a reservation. No advance notice or warning was given prior to walking into the hotel. Not a single email was sent even though they must have known hours before we walked in. They did nothing to improve the situation... the staff basically said too bad, deal with it. Attempted to contact management, only to be rebuffed and ignored.

About

Overview

You are looking for a hotel in the city centre. Apollo Museumhotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam. Our hotel is located right next to the Rijksmuseum and is ideal for a city trip, or if you are attending meetings in the centre. Everything is within walking distance. World-class museums close to the hotel are the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk museum and the Heineken Experience.

We are located in Pieter Cornelisz Hooftstraat where you will find the special window displays of all large international fashion houses. A feast for the eyes: glass door handles, marble floors, anything is possible in this street. For anyone wanting a good night out, Leidseplein is just 500 metres from the hotel; here you will find student bars, but also well-known clubs, such as De Melkweg and Paradiso.

If you wish to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, the Vondelpark is just around the corner. This famous Amsterdam park is the place to go for culture, recreation and sports. Jogging through the park is a popular pastime, but there are also organised activities, such as boot camp sessions and yoga. Every weekend, an open air concert or performance is given at the Vondelpark Theater.
