Beautiful room. The staff and concierge were excellent. Great views of the canal.
I liked the friendly and helpful staff
The hotel was over priced
This hotel is totally awesome! The hotel has beautiful exterior and interor and it is perfectly located along the river. I, with my wife and my little son, stayed at the executive room on the top floor, which was amazingly spacious, clean and well-decorated. The bathroom is also huge and comfortable and the shower booth had a window facing east and it was so nice to take shower in the morning with sunshine coming into the shower booth through the window. Then the breakfast was also so nice. The breakfast room is located just next to the river with a wooden derrace directly accessable to the river. In total this hotel is definitely worth 5 stars and I would love to go back again.
The mints in the hotel restaurant were nice. The Internet service, although pretty expensive was decently fast.
I didn't like the location of the hotel, it is not convenient for anything. Prepare to pay a taxi fare of at least 15 Euros to go anywhere notable. The hotel is old and musty. The service was almost non-existent. It's not a cheap hotel.
I mentioned in my booking that we need three bathrobes (room for three was ordered) - hotel ignored this request either in boooking comments and after visit to the receiption as well. Strange way of hospitality
a superb hotel with a michelin star restaurant "la rive"
The room I stayed at.
The fact that there was no reception but a reception desk and I had to wait to check in
Pretty good location
Overpriced and snobby. $50.00 to park your car on the stree per day and $30.00 for Internet. Don't go there.
Great location, beautiful decor, good service
not the best location for walking but right on the canal
The hotel and room were beautiful, and in a great location right on the Amstel river. Also, members of the staff were very attentive, and the concierge service was excellent.
Breakfast service was late on a regular basis by more than the time range predicted by the hotel menu, and items were usually missing and had to be requested again.
The hotel was beautiful and elegant. The staff was fantastic. We enjoyed the location very much, being right on the Amstel River (canal) was great and it was not right in the middle of the busy areas.
Behind the hotel’s grand colonnaded entrance, the regal interior features original, 19th-century staircases, chandeliers and elegant marble floors. You can enjoy an Afternoon Tea in the lounge or Mirror Room with river views, and wind down in the Health Club with a large indoor pool, saunas, massage rooms and a fitness area. Dine on locally inspired, seasonal dishes in the Amstel Restaurant, and discover the city with a tour on one of the hotel’s classic saloon boats.
