Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praise the hotel's central location, making it easy to explore Anchorage and access local attractions. Many reviewers highlight the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, as well as the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. However, several guests express disappointment with the value for price, citing high costs that do not always match the quality or experience provided. Some also mention issues with amenities, such as the gym, pool, and WiFi, which did not always meet expectations. Overall, while the location and service are often appreciated, improvements in value and amenities could enhance the guest experience.

We got a pretty decent deal (around $100/night). You could tell the hotel was old (bad water pressure, slow drains, etc) but it was keep up really well. If the room ran around the regular price I've seen of $200-250/night, it wouldn't be as good of a value. Just a heads up, the majority of the guests are snobby douchbags.
