The host, Tin, is amazing! He really goes above and beyond to make sure your time in Thailand is great. The location is tucked back in a quiet part of town next to a great Thai restaurant and away from the not-so-fresh smelling river. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
It made all the other places seem subpar :)

Everything! + Very nice, friendly and really helpful hosts Tin and Mint. + Very good new room and bathroom , quite large both of them. + Very clean. + Really comfortable beds. + Netflix on TV at room (have to have your login). + Really affordable tours to Phi Phi Island and other tours. + Good location, still and quite but not so long walkway to main street. + Restaurants nearby. + Affordable prices for the room.
Nothing. The only thing is that is quite long walk to the beach. But you have cheap local bus you can use.

Tin, his wife, and staff were the friendliest people and went out of their way to make sure I enjoyed my time there. I stayed in the female dorm for three nights and was so comfortable. There was excellent air con and a little balcony. The location was nice and there were some good restaurants very nearby. A walk to the main beach area takes about 20 minutes along the main road. There’s even a little pool in the front to take a dip in. Really recommend it!
The only thing I didn’t love was the noise from the Muay Thai gym just across the road, but if you plan to be out on excursions or at the beach most of the day it won’t matter.

The host was very friendly and super helpful in organizing trips. Also the prices that were offered by the hostel for the trips were significantly lower than comparable offers I have seen and were absolutely fair. The hostel was also recently renovated and the rooms are really nice and modern. Moreover, there is a really good Thai restaurant right next door.
