Amazing helpful staff
Nice hotel awful good selections
Trendy looking but our room did not look like the pictures of the room we selected on the website.
Room service options are bad!!!!
The cleaning lady came after 4 pm. Really annoying considering that we were out all day, and came back to a messy room to relax before going out again
Downtown Austin Party hotel on weekends
Hotel decor was contemporary & swanky.
Hotel & pool area are overcrowded with 20-30 yr olds partying in Austin for the weekend. Spa is very disappointing. It was very obviously an afterthought. Bed linens were not what JW brand is supposed to provide - they were Courtyard level (check the tags!)
Great place for a girls weekend getaway!
The location was awesome, the staff was super friendly and very accommodating, the room was clean and had an amazing view of downtown. Overall it was perfect for a couple of girlfriends and I to getaway and explore austin.
One thing that I didn't like was that the pool was extremely crowded every day and night that we were there. There was barely room to get IN the pool (you were pretty much shoulder to shoulder in there) let alone find a chair to relax on because they were all taken. We were really excited about the pool too but turns out it wasn't so relaxing. That's my only complaint tho, this hotel was amazing so I can't blame everyone wanting to be there and to enjoy the pool as well.
I liked how friendly the staff was. The entire place is super clean and nice. Accessible to many great restaurants and 6th st. Also there's a lake only two blocks away!
The only reason why I didn't give it a five stars rating is because the entrance to the parking lot is so busy. They only had one entrance and unless you valet you were waiting to get into the garage. On the upside the wait was less than 7 minutes. Also the pool bar needs more kore bartenders. The pool attendees were really nice once you flag them down for attention.
Loved my visit!
Everything! Beautiful room, beautiful city, excellent location.
JW Marriot Austin
Very new and nice hotel. Very big hotel that has hundreds of people in the lobby at a given time. Never had a bad stay there and service is good. But always feel like I am a convention when I stay there.
Rooms very average...In addition it was very noisy, could hear everything going on opening/closing of doors.. etc.
A Great Accommodation
The JW is centrally located to the Austin downtown area and many trendy restaurants and bars were within walking distance. In addition, the room, staff and on-site restaurants were excellent.
When I spend that amount of money for a nightly accommodation, WiFi and Internet need to be a part of the package.
Great gym/workout facility Very comfortable room Love the full length windows and light Great location
Charge $$$ for wifi Noise from the street was surprisingly loud, even on the 30th floor
When we checked in there was a candy wrapper on floor, pieces of trash in closet and a small piece on bathroom floor. I had to call housekeeping to clean our room Saturday after 4:30 pm. They didn't wipe the tops of bedside tables that needed it.
Parking service was a nightmare. Long wait times.
