Our trip condisted of a lot of driving.so we chose a comfortable and strong car volkswagen passat or similar. Thats what we ordered. We were searching by car names. When we got to bratislava airport we were told that there is a mistake in the offer. And they wrote a volkswagen by mistake as an example of much lowere car class. And gave us instead a pego which is uncomfortale and not strong. That was really frastrating experience both with the car and with the offer. We took an offer as it was written, and that what we were supposed to get. We did not suspect unproffessional behavior that company do not know how to classify its offerrings neither we suspected that it was done on purpose to deceive.

Be careful - don't rent car in Slovakia with this company!!! They will suggest you GPS, despite there is embedded GPS in the car, if you not pay for insurance they will scratch the car and extra charge you!

Worth service everNothingRude employee, they did not provide me with the car because they stated that the price is very low and they wanted to charge mw double. Deposit jumps from 500 to 1200. Front desk employee refused to call him manager or provide me with the car. Had to leave the office by taxi. Worth service ever.

Good value for the money, reasonably agile and comfortable, good gas mileage. The car was unprepared for arctic cold wave in Slovakia. Almost any windshield washer fluid was initially in the car reservoir. Customer representative failed to return to me my driver license and the ID card/passport after copying. Had to make unplanned return to the BTS airport and pick up my ID documents from Avis.

Great priceRenting my car after putting an order from internet was smoothless. They totally accepted my order from the USA and car was ready as promissed in Bratislava on Soberiniho location on selected date. For that price I woud do it gladly again. They looked suspicious after returning a car and checked for tiniest invisible scratches. Nothing was found but stiil after renting a car many times in the USA this was weird and I don't know what they would do if I just return their car with "droping a key" option. Should I be worried about created extra charges then or what?
Some Bratislava car providers already include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection Waiver into the hire price but not all of them. We recommend always be aware of your coverage when hiring a car in Bratislava.
Keep in mind that car rental insurances often have a deductible clause, which is the amount you’ll have to pay if something happens during the time of your rental. If you want to avoid unwanted surprises, you should consider adding a no-deductible option to your Bratislava car rental.
One of the best things about car hire in Bratislava is that it will give you the freedom to take your time exploring all the fascinating nooks and crannies of this historical city. The main tourist attraction dominating the city is Bratislava Castle, built in the 1200s and now a museum. The rococo-baroque architecture of the Grassalkovich Palace is also renowned. For views out over the city and the River Danube on which it lies, hiring a car will allow you to drive up to the Kamzik TV Tower on Kanzik Hill, which is also where the Bratislava Forest Park begins. From the observation deck you can see as far as Austria and Hungary on a clear day. The Blue Church showcases the original decorative style of the city.
You’ll land at Bratislava Airport, and here you can pick up the hire car you’ve pre-booked, be that with Sixt, Hertz, Alamo, Budget or one of the other main operators. They are all located in the main arrivals area of the airport’s central terminal, which is where you’ll be once you’ve collected your luggage and cleared customs. From there you can easily walk to collect your car after you’ve sorted out all the necessary final details.
A word to the wise about car hire in Bratislava: the traffic can flow very fast compared to the UK. If you’re not familiar with the city, this can become a factor as you might feel a bit rushed. The roads are safe, but be careful of potholes, which are a perennial issue due to the long cold winters. It’s usually better to drive during the day and to stick to roads with good street lighting at night, so you can see them coming. Finally, take note that one drives on the opposite side of the road to the UK when in Slovakia.
Bratislava has its rush hours at the typical times you’ll be used to. Peak times are at 08:00 and 16:00. However, the build-up can start up to an hour before, and it can take the same amount of time to taper off afterwards. Fridays are slightly different, with the evening rush hour concentrated between 15:00 and 16:00. It’s a good idea to avoid the centre of town at these times, when you can spend an extra 15min in traffic for every 30min that you’re driving, especially on main roads like Prievozska and the large intersections on Bratislava-Prievoz.
