The pick up point was not in the airport and it took us about half an hour to locate and walk to it. Then the car wasn't at the pick up point but at the train station. Somewhere between me searching for a car to pick up at the airport and booking it, the criteria had altered and I'd booked to pick up at the train station. However, the rep phoned for a car to take us to the train station. Another couple were waiting for their car and it was going to be a long wait in the hot sun with a small child. Another family were arguing inside about their car. The reps wanted them to upgrade as they had not got the one the man had booked the only other available was too small for his family. It was a little off-putting. However, we were driven to the train station and dropped off on the kerb with a general instruction as to where the Sixt office was. I found it and booked in. A relatively painless procedure. I'd arranged extra insurance cover before i went on holiday so they're wasn't much pressure to take theirs out, and I paid upfront for the tank of petrol. I was then given directions to the multi-storey car park where the car was kept, found the very cross lady who gave me the keys and then had to negotiate finding my way back to my family who were still waiting near the train station. No rep showed us the car, or how anything worked, and we didn't have any time to inspect for damage. Loved the car. All was fine there. Had a wonderful holiday. We dropped the car off at3am at the Sixt airport office. It was dark, there was no one there and i dropped the keys thru a post box and off we went. When I got home, i received an email from Sixt saying there was damage to the car and they were claiming from me. There hadn't been any damage when we left the car, but i hadn't thought to take photos or video the car when we left it. Big mistake. How do i prove we hadn't damaged the car when they say we have? Still trying to sort that little problem out. Perhaps if I'd taken out their insurance, there wouldn't be any 'damage' to the car. We live and learn.
When we reached in office to pick up the car than they said to us we have no car 🤨if they have no car why they booking confirmation .it was worst.they spoil our trip

We had a reservation for a car. When we arrived at the pickup counter we were told there were no cars available. Even though we had a reservation, it didn't matter, they didn't have a car for us. We ended up spening the next several hours trying to find a car from another agency. I will never rent from Alamo/Enterprise in Girona again.
Some Girona car providers already include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection Waiver into the hire price but not all of them. We recommend being aware of your coverage when hiring a car in Girona.
Keep in mind that car hire insurances often have a deductible clause, which is the amount you’ll have to pay if something happens during the time of your hire. If you want to avoid unwanted surprises, you should consider adding a non-deductible option to your Girona car hire.
