Cons: I called in to Hertz the day of pickup to confirm the pickup, I was told by a clerk that they didn't have a car yet, but they had several coming in and that at least by 5:00pm they would have a car for me. (My pickup was scheduled for 2:00pm) I didn't mind because I had other things to do, so around 4:30 I called back. I was told by a different person that I wouldn't be getting a car that day and that they were closing at 5:30!!! I was furious! He then said that the clerks were trained to say that "the car will be here around 5" like the first clerk said. What kind of policy is that, to lie to a customer until the last minute! I have used Hertz for a long time, and am incredibly disappointed at the service this time.

Wiper spray didn't work but employee helped make u
Pros: The employee apologized for the sprayer not working and gave me $25 off my rental. Though it was quite stressful to drive on the highway through a cloudy windshield, the ordeal is over and I made it home safe. I appreciate the customer service discount.
Cons: My windshield spray did not work on a long drive. I bought the appropriate fluid and filled the tank (which was empty) however the spray still didn't work. I check to make sure the spray openings weren't clogged they were not. So in effect, I had to pull off the road FREQUENTLY to clean the windshield since the roads were wet and salty. I called Hertz to inform them that this loss of time might make me late for my rental.
I do feel like I was put in some extremely stressful and borderline dangerous situations when muck was sprayed to my windshield and I would not see well on the highway.

Car smelled bad / I was not given the actual neede
Cons: The car smelled like a cat had peed in it!
and there was no service from the representatives when needed.
Plus i had asked for the basic coverage and I was told that I was covered for a minor incident.
Representatives at the receiving end were not very helpful at all.

Pros: Customer service representatives were friendly.

Cons: Car was not ready for pick when arrived to location, despite me being half hour late.
Pros: The guy who helped us was really nice. Very convenient pick up/drop off location.
Cons: There was only one guy working, so when we came in the office no one was there. He was in the garage vacuuming a car. Too bad there isn't enough staff to have someone cover the front desk and someone else clean cars.
Pros: Due to a long line in the Lafayette office and another customer who changed his preferences for a car at the last minute, the clerk kindly gave us the other customer's original reservation, a Camaro, at no extra charge. He also made it easy to return the car by not requiring it to be returned full of fuel. This was an excellent experience for our First wedding anniversary overnighter.
Cons: The credit card charges took one week to appear, making payment confusing.
