Cons: There was a surcharge for dropping the car off outside of business hours. It was 20 euros which I think is ridiculous. They should have a drop box for the keys and place the drop off the vehicle

Cons: There is no Budget rent a car company at the Sarajevo Airport. I asked the other companies and they said they closed couple weeks ago. I made the reservation through Kayak though I didnt pay anything I had a reservation and had to pay double with another rent a car company to get the same car. I was not happy at all because budget and kayak made a reservation with a branch that was already shut down and costs me an extra $250 to get a rent a car for my trip.

Pros: The car was great. Clean, smooth, fairly zippy. Clutch was in good shape. The staff are friendly and very accommodating.Cons: I booked a rental from the city center location, but they were closed for staff training. So someone from the airport location picked me up at my hotel in downtown and drove me to the airport to get a car from them.

You are deceptiveCons: You do not mention clearly that the rental rate does not cover CDW. It was a big surprise. I had to pay extra.
Pros: The staff was exceptionally friendly and after returning the car we were offered an umbrella to have as it was raining quite hard. We didn't end up taking the umbrellas, but the offer was very kind and capped a lovely experience with this office.

Cavet emptorPros: Car was parked conveniently right outside of airport terminal. Driving TDI diesel is a good choice for Bosnia.Cons: Supposedly was given class upgrade from compact to intermediate, but the car actually belongs to economy. Car obviously had been in a significant accident previously and although restored it's a thing Enterprise wouldn't admit. No other choice was offered, After less than few hundred miles car indicate service required. Fuel policy is ridiculous with $15 charge only to refuel. On the same note, fuel was noted down on the contract even before it was checked and 7/8ths of the tank was never corrected. Driving outside of Bosnia requires green card for which Enterprise demands $56. This normally is included in price and I was told I can only get it at that single office. I wouldn't recommend Enterprise or Kayak deals due to hidden unfair and undisclosed fees.
Pros: Horrible was charged 550 km car was all scratched when i picked up car stinky inside car back sit was in spits of somting spilledCons: if they didnt charged me for things what i have not done they suck
Pros: Staff very friendly.Cons: Car was rented dirty and look like basic model. No remote lock, no Bluetooth connection, radio units aftermarket installed, no cruise control, back windows manual, look like car with basic pakage

Pros: Not busy, easy to find.Cons: Car smelled as if someone has chainsmoked a carton of cigarettes in it. The Sarajevo location would not accept dollar online insurance or our private insurance and made us buy their insurance. The only other option was to put the entire cost of the care on hold on our credit card
Pros: It was totally different price. that is why ı didn't hire the car.Cons: If it was same price as I have been given online, I could have taken the offer.

My RentalPros: The Avis agents was nice, the car was ready for my arrival..Cons: I don’t like is when you pay insurance from kayak. Avis agent try to sell another more insurance because Kayak insurance is not good enough. Don’t cover much, so your stuck adding another insurance increasing your daily rental... Insurance should be more clear for car rentals... Next time I stayaway Kayak insurance..:

Custumer service was horriblePros: Well the car was in decent shape. ICons: Custumer service was horrible. They put a hold of 1500 dollars on my card, very angry and hard to work with. The guy at the counter said as soon as I give him my card info he can charge me whatever I was in shock. The car had so many scratches and all kinds of Marks and it was super dirty outside. I was afraid once I wash it outside I will find more scratches thathe were not noted on the sheet so I will be responsible for paying for somebody's else's damage. Overall not very satisfied with Avis. Next time I will definitely go with diferent rental.
It is highly recommended to rent a car during your time in Sarajevo, simply because there is no more efficient way to get around the city and country than with one. If you want to visit the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, for example, you could pay extra for a tour to take you there, or you could take in the countryside and drive the 35 kilometers (21.7 miles) to see one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s more unique sights for yourself.
Looking to pick up a hire car after arriving at Sarajevo International Airport? Such travelers will find the hire car desks located in the main terminal’s Arrivals Hall.
One thing to keep in mind when road tripping outside of Sarajevo is that many of the roads and motorways are single lane roads, meaning cars passing each other is a very common occurrence. Be prepared for local drivers to pass you on such roads, and keep your eyes peeled for flashing headlights from cars behind you, which are used to warn you that they are about to pass you.
Like in many other capital cities today, rush hour can cause major congestion in Sarajevo. Sarajevo’s rush hour typically goes from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. during the work week, while the afternoon rush hour goes from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Both the M5 and the M18 can become severely bogged down with rush hour traffic during peak hours and, if possible, should be avoided by drivers.

Hatchbacks and sedans are by far the most popular vehicles in Sarajevo, so if fitting in is the goal then those are the two best options. They are likely the most popular because they are best suited to the streets of the city. Sarajevo generally has medium-sized roads that, while not exactly small, are not quite suited for the largest vehicles. This is particularly the case when it comes to streetside parking, as large parking spots may be hard to find in popular areas.
Speed limits in Sarajevo begin at 37 mph in built-up areas and then go up to 50 mph outside of them. Expressways typically have speed limits of 62 mph, while motorways feature the highest speed limits at 81 mph.
In Sarajevo, petrol costs an average of 2.12 KM ($1.24) per liter, which is roughly 8.02 KM ($4.71) per gallon.
If you plan on visiting the downtown area and the central business district, parking garages and lots are going to be your go-to parking option. Outside of those areas, though, on-street parking will be more than sufficient. Streetside parking is also available downtown, but during peak hours open spaces can be slightly more difficult to find, so it may be worth sticking to a sure bet in a parking garage.
