The breakfast was amazing
Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Perfect location to explore the Cotswolds and hiking distance to other beautiful towns. Lovely gardens and very helpful staff.
Cleanliness, although it was generally clean, found a lot of spiderwebs in the curtains and other places. I understand it's located in the countryside but this are places that should be cleaned easily before a guest arrives.
A wide selection of unusual dishes at breakfast, , I had eggs with mushrooms and goat's cheese, which was delicious.
After spending the night, we booked a table for lunch for a disabled friend and ourselves. We went to the restaurant, were told it was closed and should go to the bar. We went to the bar, only to be told that it was full and we must go back to the restaurant. This was most difficult for our friend as walking is difficult. We had booked a table, but where was it? We had a pleasant stay, but this was somewhat spoiled by our reception at lunchtime.
Location, venue, room, staff, area!!!! General feeling! Privacy! Fantastic!!!
Dining room could be a bit more romantic... lights and the choice of background music
The hotel is perfectly located...picture postcard all over. Staff were friendly and attentive although there was a bit of a wait with only one lady handling checkout. Breakfast was super
In terms of experiences that should be on everyone’s bucket list, one of them is staying at an English country inn. These inns are truly their own style of experience and the pastoral nature of these inns is relaxing and spiritually grounding. There are many things to expect at an English country inn. Many folks expect an older building along with a staff that helps guests get the best types of experiences at the inn. Other things include modern amenities. One of the keys to a great English country inn experience is keeping the old while sneaking the modern in subtly. The good news for folks looking for a place like this is Slaughters Country Inn is exactly that place.
Slaughters Country Inn is exactly what a post card of an English country inn would look like. With a stone façade, this building is literally what you close your eyes and envision. With a quaint morning breakfast that can be enjoyed on the patio along with free parking and WiFi access, it’s easy to see why this hotel has so many fans that aren’t just English but dream of the English country inn. Furthermore, the hotel has some amazing natural views. It’s very easy to stay at this hotel and to see why folks come back so refreshed. The place is naturally relaxing.
Staying at the Slaughters Country Inn is the perfect way to have a great English country inn experience with all the great modern amenities that travelers expect.
