The facilities were nice.
At check-out they charged me an additional $120 for “taxes and fees”, but when I asked for an itemized receipt would not provide one. When I went to check out electronically they tried to charge me an additional $70 (on top of the extra $120 I had already paid) again saying it was for “taxes and fees.” The additional cost built in (and for unclear reasons at that) was not worth it.
They invested a lot in sound-proofing the exterior walls - so you can't hear the train as it passes by. (They just didn't sound-proof the interior walls so you can hear other rooms.)
Staff was never around. They charge you an "amenities fee", but we didn't actually get to enjoy any of the "amenities". Asked for water multiple times - as part of the amenities - and never received anything. You can hear people in other rooms pretty easily
Everything looked great, I shared a all female dormroom. Bathroom was perfect and clean. Great service!
Nothing that I didn’t like.
Excellent decoration and service
The decoration and furniture are amazing. The service it's good overall and I don't have any complain.
The tram is next to the place, not so noisy but if you are like the princess...
There are so many great reasons to visit Chicago. America’s “Second City” offers much in the way of culture, art, and architecture. If you are looking to see what the Midwest looks like, this city is the perfect way to get a glimpse into a part of the United States that is separate from the coastal cities that are so well known. When staying in Chicago, accommodations are critical, and that’s why Fieldhouse Jones is trusted by all types of travelers.
The great thing about this hotel is that it offers flexible bed arrangements and, in many ways, different first of its kind hotel experiences. Fieldhouse Jones embodies the spirit of Chicago – as the city has grown the different areas and buildings have been broken down and rebuilt only to go through the same cycle again. The building’s 150-year history is a testimony to the adaptability of the Windy City’s culture. It has been used for various purposes, and like the hotel, its multi-purpose nature is an attraction to travelers.
When it comes to dining options, on-site is the Dropshot Coffee and Snack Bar. There are plenty of options there for a quick bite, but if you're looking to have a more formal dining experience, Chicago is loaded with many great food options. Thanks to the mass transit system, it’s easy to get around the city and experience the different food options.
Visiting Chicago is something every traveler should do. The flexibility and fun offered by Fieldhouse Jones is a great way to get yourself a base to explore the city.
