We were so kindly greeted upon approaching the front desk.
We didn't have a problem, however, many of our other friends were kept up all night by noises from the other rooms. Evidently the walls are quite thin
very friendly staff - especially the lovely woman in the concierge lounge.
there is a train that goes through downtown Columbus immediately outside the hotel - it honks multiple times as it passes and when I was there came through at midnight and just after 6 am - both days. The rooms are also old and the walls are thin. It is noisy in general, even without the train - especially if you are placed in a room near the concierge lounge (602 or 603). The rooms need an upgrade - toilets are stained, not all the outlets worked in my room and there were no outlets by the bed so you couldn't work on your computer or have your phone plugged in close to the bed. The reception said they didn't have any extension cords. I would not go back.
Not what I expected
Lobby is beautiful and it's nice to have a Starbucks in the building. The staff was polite and professional.
Room was smaller than I expected. While in the hall I could hear other guests talking in their room (not the level of privacy I expected). Train woke me up twice the first night and once the second. Really?
Situated near the airport, this hotel is steps away from Coca-Cola Space Science Center and Columbus Georgia Convention & Trade Center. Columbus Civic Center and Columbus State University are also within 9 mi (15 km).
