Set in 140 acres of landscaped parkland, it is the tranquillity of Coulsdon Manor Hotel and Golf Club that allows you to forget you are just 15 miles from the centre of London. The estate boasts a wonderful collection of rare trees gathered from all over the world by the Byron family. Originally built in 1850, the Manor House has been tastefully restored to its former glory. The beautiful country house retains many original features from the open fire place to the glass atrium giving a light and airy feel to the Hotel.

Pros (+) The food was fantastic. Truly great. The specials were fantastic. The chef came to to the diners to make sure that everybody was happy, was really impressed and surprised with the food. In general the staff was very helpful and nice.
Cons (-) The hotel décor is old and needs updated, but it didn't bother me. Old hotel.
Pros (+) The hotel is in a surprisingly nice location and the standard of the room was excellent. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and courteous.
Cons (-) The food was really poor and let the hotel down. Both the evening meal and the breakfast were more like the standard of a budget hotel. It's a shame because this could be a very good hotel.
