The first everyone was very nice and helpful after that, little less nice the breakfast buffet was not the greatest biscuit hard as rocks. The cost was little high I feel since we were there for an event I think there should have been some better discount
the value for the price
the common areas were much nicer than the rooms
We bought 2 rooms one had been renovated and one wasn't
Friendly front desk staff.
The bed was uncomfortable as I could feel the springs. Only one electrical outlet available. It was detached from the lamp and just hanging by a wire. The bathroom was really dated. I've stayed in much nicer rooms for the same price.
overpriced, no choice of beds unless you pay additional 15 bucks a day. No fridge unless you pay another 15 bucks a day
There are two types of rooms, old and remodeled. It is worth the upgrade to a remodeled room.
Nice pool, a few good restaurants, overall a good value and probably a pretty good hotel by Decatur, IL standards.
It's not bad, but it is a bit dated; still has old tube TVs, aging AC/heat window units. Nothing bad, just old.
The lobby and other areas were very nice. It is a conference center so it is very big and there is quite a bit of walking from one end to the other.
The hotel could use a few updates. Our bathroom door was old and stuck hard a few times but the bathroom itself was fixed up nicely.
Close to the highway
The room looked like it was from the 70's. NOT MODERN AT ALL DONT LET THE LOBBY FOOL YOU
Was not crowded.
Room had a bad odor. Needs remodeling.
Room was advertized as 1 king bed and 2 queen beds. Upon arrival we were told this type of room was not available and we ended up paying over $80 extra so we could have 2 queen and a roll a way that was very uncomfortable. View this as false advertizing
The free breakfast was really good,...waffles, bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, etc. the room was comfortable but could use some updating. Clean and tidy. A lot of outside doors for convenience since it is a large property
The tv wasn't programmed correctly. And I could smell the chlorine from the pool down the hallway. Kind of out of the way from all other things in Decatur.
It was dirty, thin walls, housekeeping was loud in hall, smelled like smoke, it was a place I will never go again.
Breakfast area and staff
Hallways, stairs and elevators dingy and had an odor. My non-smoking room smelled like it had previously been a smoking room
ARRIVED VERY LATE AND HUNGRY, THE SPORTS BAR BURGERS WERE VERY GOOD.
VENDING MACHINE DID NOT WORK
the staff was very rude to me and my wife,it was not a very good experiance.
Rooms were very nice and clean.
Too much chlorine in the pool and hot tub.
There were several large stains on the floor in the room. The ceiling had spots where it had been roughly patched. The pool area was nice.
Did not like anything
The hotel has two areas of rooms for guests. One area is a 2 1/2 star and the area where Priceline customers are roomed is far less than 2 1/2 stars.
It once was very good, but that was years ago.
There was no microwave or refrigerator, just a cabinet that was empty where they would eventually be installed. There also was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. And finally, we were in room 2100, at the far end of a very long hall distant from the elevator.
The food was horrible at the Fireside Grille for breakfast.
The restaurant in the hotel was very accommodating, we have a child with many food alergies. The kids also really enjoyed the pool, and the small lake area behind the hotel.
The place could have been cleaner. The carpeting in the room had many stains. There is also an awning near the lobby that has JR's Steakhouse on it. We thought we would have a nice steak dinner and it turns out it's just a party space to rent.
Because this hotel has a great reputation for holding events, it's always a pleasure to stay there. Great location, good staff.
The convenience of the location of hotel put us right in the center of everything. This was a get-away weeend for me and my husband and although only 2 hours away from home it felt as if we were at our 'fantasy' place. GREAT FOOD, SERVICE and COMPANY.
I know because it was a special fundction going on in the town, our room did not get housekeeping service until 4:30pm on Saturday evening, but I had made our beds and did what cleaning I needed. I don't fault the staff, but I would have liked it cleaned
Easy to find. Slightly closer to town than most of the hotels.
This is really two hotels. There is an old holiday inn and a newer or remodeled conference room. We were stuck in the old part of the facility. It was like an abandoned hotel...
Room was awesome. Sport bar had very good food & drink. Service was excellent. No
I requested a handicapped accessible room. The room was so small it was difficult for my Mom to maneuver around the room. The bed was so low and lacked support. My Mom was unable to even sleep in the bed. We left and checked into another hotel.
the front desk clerk was very nice and she answered all of my questions very helpful but the hotel is in need of many updates the room was kinda blah looking
Only stayed here on two occasions when we had to attend funerals of in-town relatives. The staff was very accommodating and sympathetic to our situation. They gave a bereavement rate and bent over backwards to accommodate our family. The beds were comfortable and the rooms very spacious and quiet. The menu breakfast was reasonable in price, quality of the food was good and portions large. Swimming pool was large and very relaxing. All staff members from the lounge, to the restaurant, to housekeeping, to the front desk were all very friendly and polite.
The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large and nicely maintained. I appreciate that they allow pets because I hate to leave her in a kennel. We hope to attend the festival again this fall 2007.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was soooo nice everywhere we went in the hotel. It was nice to not have to leave the hotel to have a little bit of fun(ie:bar)They even had karoake.
Very clean - good location very helpful front desk.
Very quiet when I visited. It would be nice if hotels would provide conditioner with the shampoo.
