Pros: A beautiful house set in a great location just off the main road to Minehead and Porlock. Our host went beyond to ensure we had what we needed to enjoy our stay. Our bedroom was spotless with comfortable beds and large dressing gowns which wrapped around effortlessly . Loved our stay .

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were lovely! And the lemon drizzle cake and cup of tea/coffee on arrival was a welcome bonus. And breakfast! Well, what can I say other than excellent! So much choice! Cereals, fruit juice, fresh fruit and the usual full English. I understand that most, if not all of the food was locally sourced. How many hosts go to those lengths, not many in my experience! We could also help ourselves to fresh fruit and extra milk from the fridge if we needed it! Something else I've never seen in a B&B! Oh! I forgot! Fresh garden flowers in our room too! All the special little touches from arrival to departure made our two days very special indeed! We've already booked our next stay! Well done Nigel and Paula and thank you for making us so welcome!
Cons: Nothing!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast - huge choice & quality ingredients. Hosts very helpful & friendly. Nice room with comfortable bed & ceiling fan which was a bonus as very warm. Ideal location.
Cons: Nothing - it was excellent.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very efficient and friendly. The facilities were very good. The breakfast was excellent.
Cons: I was lucky with parking but it could be difficult if you couldn't find a space on the street because the free car parks ceased to be free at 9.00 am which is only half an hour after breakfast begins. Also, I would have liked the breakfast time to be a bit earlier.
7.5 Good
Pros: breakfast was good (eggs, fried bread ,mushrooms and bacon on morning one) but the omelette on day two was disappointing. Omellettes should be moist and have something on the plate to accompany them. However the stay was thoroughly enjoyable. I have only commented at all on our stay because you asked me to. Best wishes Ernie Wilks
Cons: nicer bathroom, a window that stayed open.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff/owners were very helpful and we were made to feel very welcome. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Bottled water and fresh milk were unexpected and much appreciated.
Cons: Parking was slightly challenging to organise but it was a very busy time and parking is tricky in Dunster in August, as it is in most small towns.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay. Everything was perfect. Stayed in Dunster for my sister's little girls christening at the local church. Would definitely stay here again when visiting my sister .
Cons: Everything was lovely
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent with a good choice from either a cold buffet and/or cooked items. The hotel is situated in the middle of a medieval, picturesque village with plenty to see and do.
Cons: The only thing I would have liked was a room with a much larger window but being a solo traveller I had booked a smaller sized room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Steve and Sheila were most gracious and welcoming. Their B&B is charming, immaculate, and very friendly. Located on the edge of the Exmoor National Park, Dunster is a jewel, providing a relaxing stay for visitors and hikers. Dunster Castle, situated just above the town, dates back to the Middle Ages, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants to keep you happy. This quaint village is one of England's best kept secrets.

Pros: Bed was huge, everything has been thought about, I forgot to bring my toiletries bag and sure enough there is a dental pack, vanity pack and various gels and soaps provided, many blends of tea/coffee and 24 hour chilled milk downstairs which is a godsend when, like me, you can’t drink the longline sachet milk. Host very welcoming, slept so well I missed the breakfast!

Pros: The was very welcoming the bed was very comfy And the breakfast was excellent ..
Cons: There was no bath in my room but it was a very small room And in its defence the shower was very good . I arrived just before 9pm which meant I was to late for dinner Which was disappointing although understandable .. Id been walking for 14 hours so I was very hungry
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, the staff are very welcoming and best of all, the food. Probably the best pie and mash I've ever eaten.
Cons: The bathroom in the room I stayed in could do with a refresh.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location is lovely.
Cons: Inadequate fire procedures. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night & owners not there. Customers were trying to sort the problem out in their absence. The owners never apologised for the inconvenience but I did ask for a free night as the disruption & the chaos that night for everyone was awful. The other thing I didn’t like was the owners didn’t accept their responsibility of the fault in the fire alarm & blamed Room 6. I won’t be staying there again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Thanks
Cons: It was fine

Pros: The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Comfy, character hotel in pretty village close to the sea. Dog friendly.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Luttrell Arms Hotel in Minehead, you'll be just steps from Exmoor National Park and Dunster Castle. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay
Cons: Stayed in room 25 in roof .shower in bath very low probably better not to have . Both of us banged our head on ceiling
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location and liked the garden area at the rear of the hotel for relaxing with a drink from the bar. Comfortable room (it was a very hot day and night) and good that the hotel provided a fan in the room to help, as well as being able to open the window. Car park was not too far to walk and a nice touch that the hotel refunded the overnight parking, as there was no-where on the street to park so we had no choice.
Cons: Breakfast seemed a bit expensive (being on top of the room rate) - however, we didn't eat breakfast there so it would be unfair for me to comment on the value, as it may have been very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were exceptionally friendly and the food, both in the restaurant and from the bar, was excellent. We would particularly recommend the “Afternoon Tea for Two” which was fabulous. The secret garden was a big plus in hot weather. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere and its history is fascinating.
Cons: Breakfast on our final day, a Sunday, was rather chaotic with items on the buffet not being replenished and one couple (thankfully not us) having to wait nearly an hour for their order. It was just an unfortunate blip as the staff were exceptionally busy. Although we really liked the configuration of our room (number 32, a superior double) it was down some steps from the ground floor, with absolutely no view and right next to the kitchen, meaning the room was often full of cooking smells. Had we not liked the room itself we might have asked to be moved.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really welcoming and relaxed, staff do everything to make you welcome and you don't get any sense of over pretenciousness which can be off putting at many hotels. We entertained family there and it felt perfect for this.
Cons: The Psalter's restaurant was trying a little too hard to be unique, the food might have been better had it been just a little simpler.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel is an amazing place to relax and enjoy the village. The hotel Secret garden was a real wow with Dunster Castle as a back drop. Very relaxing place to be.
Cons: The room could do with Air con as it was very hot in there which made for an uncomfortable two nights sleep.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location lovely hotel, nice staff.
Cons: There was no hot water on the second morning which somewhat spoilt the overall impression. Hot water is a fundamental essential but no compensation was offered on the room rate, very poor customer relations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff, reactive to our needs and a very pleasant stay. Plan to visit again.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything perfect. Location, bar, food etc excellent and rooms are very nice. Olde Worlde charm with superb facilities.
Cons: Parking can be difficult and therefore loading and unloading can be an issue. There is a local car park 200 yds away and first come first serve in the village if you’re lucky. It isn’t a major issue but it can cause a problem with heavy cases.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great gem of a hotel, great food, and really helpful, friendly staff, will be returning!!

Pros: Fried breakfast ecellent: fresh good quality ingredients; especially good hash browns and excellent toast. Convenient B&B location close to centre and sea, quiet even though on main road. Excellent firm bed, and room well furnished, better than some I've used. Shared bathroom large and generously equipped; additional extra toilet so no problem sharing.
Cons: Breakfast cereals rather limited: no muesli, granola, crunch etc as commonly served elsewhere. No choice of dining position and my personal table a bit cramped, tucked into a dark corner. My room only just large enough, and very hot due to aspect in heatwave (not proprietor's fault!)
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast
Cons: the double bed in my room was very small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful house in a wonderful location. Central to many places to visit on Exmoor. An older house with a few quirks but overall the room was good & very quiet (we stayed in room 1) Next time will book a room with more of a view & book in advance as this was a last minute booking. The lounge & bar area was wonderful. Very cosy & comfortable. Breakfast was so good. Lots of choice & well presented. The owners & staff were more than helpful with any sightseeing questions we had, which gave us the opportunity to see more than we would have done in this beautiful part of England. Will defiantly stay here again.
Cons: Our room only had a bath with shower attached to the tap. A shower head attatched to the wall with shower curtain would have been easier to use
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful quite location. The two bedroom house had everything for a quite and relaxing stay. Impressive food reasonably priced.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice bedroom large bed.
Cons: Top rate prices for food but the kitchen need to up there game food swamped in gravy. Breakfast pastries have to be pre-ordered, wasn't told this. No fridge in room no air con.The place couldn't decide weather the decor was in keeping with its age or a neon gin bar. all this for £150.00 a night won't go back.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed and bedding and room were sumptuous
Cons: The main road and singl glazed do a bit noisy
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, excellent for visiting Dunster Castle & only accommodation in Dunster with private car park, although Entrance Archway very narrow for large vehicles!! Food was good & extensive selection of gins in hotel bar! Staff very friendly in family run hotel. Liked background music at breakfast & dinner - created relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: Traffic a little noisy in room at front of hotel but this was in July so had to have window open during heatwave! Walk-in shower a little on small side but decent sized bathroom and bedroom & welcoming port was a nice touch!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facility is charming. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food and bar - delicious. We felt like welcomed guests.

Pros: Lovely, felt we were in a mountain cabin in the forest. We were close to eating and shopping too.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything; we were there for only one night and unluckily there was a burst water pipe in the street (no one's fault) and workers came to dig up the street directly under our window for a couple of hours from 21.00. Of course we didn't know when they'd finish so our host offered us another room further away to hang out in or sleep in if necessary - he handled the situ brilliantly so thank u for that!
Cons: Nothing really
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The full breakfast, quirky furnishings, helpful staff.
Cons: Size of the room.

6.8 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Access a problem, I was not sent key codes; more air bnb than luxury suite; cramped room, 13.5 tog duvet in summer; soggy croissants; prepacked pain au chocolate, part used bottle of water. I could go on but what is the point?

Pros: Fantastic rooms and very clean. We had 3 bathrooms for the two of us. We had everything we needed and more. Lovely sea views and just a short walk to town. We will be booking here again as it was perfect for us. If you are a couple with two children, this is perfect.
Cons: I can't think of anything I didn't like. Maybe a hello from the owners would have been nice, but didn't bother us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location very close to the seafront yet also nice and quiet. Large bedrooms and en-suite shower rooms. Everything was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Great tea/coffee making facilities. Very generous continental style breakfast with cereal, milk, fresh juice, croissants, chocolate brioche, rolls, yoghurt and a lovely bowl of fresh fruit salad. Stayed overnight to visit relatives in Minehead whilst en-route to Devon. Friendly, helpful staff/management. Really enjoyed our time here and would be very happy to stay again. Thank you.

Cons: Found all as expected in a small village B&B.

Pros: I really appreciated a single room. So often we solo travellers end up paying for a double and to have a single with its own ensuite - just wonderful. Also the breakfast - fantastic!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was lovely
5.0 Okay
Pros: Close to the nice center of Porlock. Good restaurants within walking distance. Easy parking. Good WiFi
Cons: The bathroom was not up to standard , nearly impossible to take a shower standing up without splashing water all over the floor. The comfort of the bed - matras- was well below normal expectations. The room was overloaded with too many useless objects. The “fridge” stored in the wardrobe could not hold a simple small bottle of water. Really minimal and was not even connected.
