Cons: Worst bed I’ve slept on...ever
6.0 Good
Pros: I loved everything except the room. It is a stunning property in a very attractive location. Tranquil. The food was lovely. I would definitely return but not to this room.
Cons: The room. We came home shattered. The combination of the generator or boiler going all day and so close to our window, and dripping noises all night, we barely slept the second night. The cleaners, though super and discreet, had a walkway across the roof which meant they could see in. That shocked us both and put an end to having the blinds open in the room. It was my second time staying here. The first time was absolutely wonderful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food, ambience, lovely staff, comfort.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the location is amazing. especially in the morning, the view of brecon beacons is just stunning. the house itself is full of characters and feels very cosy, especially after a long day of driving in the rains on wintry days! parking on site is available so very convenient for roadtrippers. members of staff are reasonably friendly.
Cons: first of all, nothing to dislike but some improvements needed. due to low water pressure, the shower was rather weak. it could be a challenge to have a shower when it’s cold. other than that, everything else was fine.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel that was full of character, we particularly loved the armchairs and open fire in the lounge. The DVD library was a lovely touch. The room was spotless. The locally sourced food in the restaurant at dinner was delicious and breakfast was also good. Staff were professional and efficient although not overly warm. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna but were not there long enough to test the other spa facilities.
Cons: The biggest negative was that the room was stifling hot and even after turning off the radiators and opening the windows we did not sleep well. One other small issue was that our kettle was broken and we had to report this twice before it got replaced. Also if homemade cookies on arrival are advertised, these should be provided. However I would still highly recommend!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, the view of the Beacons was amazing, the food was delicious and the people were very friendly.
Cons: The bed was old and creaky but was still relatively comfortable

Pros: The details of the room were nice, the TV had Netflix which was something I hadn’t seen from a hotel before. The bed was comfy although could’ve used more pillows. Nice and warm room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We cannot fault our experience at Old Radnor Barn. Steven and Lynne were lovely hosts and made us and our children feel very welcome. The breakfasts were delicious and they were so accommodating with any request we put in. Lynne also noticed items we preferred and made little changes without being asked. The family room was an adequate size with plenty of wardrobe space. We were there on a few very hot days and they provided us with a fan in our room to help cool it down. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed having our breakfast outside on a couple of days. The kids explored the garden, creating a fairy garden and feeding the chickens, which was no bother at all to our hosts. The rooms, bathroom and lounge/dining area were spotlessly clean and there were leaflets on local activities/excursions in the hallway. The location was perfect as it was a 2 minute walk to the village centre where there are a few options for places to eat and a lovely stream where the kids could dip their feet. It was ideally located for visits to Brecon, Abergavenny and further afield. The kids are already asking when we can go back and visit Steven and Lynne, as if they were family that we popped in to see. Thankyou so much.
Cons: Nothing

8.1 Excellent (1,508 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Brecon, Wellington is within a 5-minute drive of Brecon Cathedral and Brecon Golf Club.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast
Cons: I ordered spare ribs for evening meal and I wanted chips but I received mashed potato I told the waitress later she didn't seem to bothered
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was good and ease of access to the Brecon Beacons which is what we were in the area for. The bed itself was comfortable too.
Cons: As the rooms are over a pub, it was noisy until gone 11pm. The amenities in the room were below expectations too - lacking finer details like lightbulbs working in all lights, telephone in room not working, no teaspoons for tea & coffee and the shower not having enough pressure for a shower so it cut out midway through having a wash!
5.0 Okay
Cons: Stayed on a Sunday night for our 35th wedding anniversary. Had a drink in bar, at about 4.30, at about 5 asked behind the bar what time they stopped making meals, was told something like as long as they served dinners, which I assumed meant Sunday lunches, we wanted a bar meal! Asked for menu at 5.50, was told they no longer served meals. We were very disappointed to which I did say we were staying there. I have a disability so found it hard to walk to find somewhere to eat and it was raining. Had asked for ground floor bedroom, but had to struggle two flights of stairs, although there was only about 10 steps I found it extremely painful. It wasn’t the type of anniversary I was expecting.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Not the first stay, alway made to feel welcome and comfortable rooms. Very dog friendly. Had to wait for room for various reasons - originally given a twin and they had to clean a room for us due to not having enough cleaners. We were still made to feel welcome and that it was no problem, enjoyed a drink or two at the bar whilst we waited. Room we were given was immaculate so well done to the cleaner who was on her own and under pressure!
Cons: Quite steep addition for a dog to stay. However all rooms were dog friendly as were all areas of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location ad comfort
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Dry welcoming and a great breakfast.
Cons: Great location for me.
10.0 Excellent

1.0 Poor
Cons: The room wasn't as is was in photos. It was freezing in room as heating didn't work . They wouldn't allow music to be played in bar plus it shuts way to early. I booked on booking.com but they made me pay when I went there so I supplied my card details twice. We left there about 4am in morning as it was to cold in room and we come home. Must be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. I'd never again stay there
6.0 Good
Pros: Landlord and landlady were extremely pleasant and welcoming. All was clean and tidy despite the fact that building needed updating. Breakfast was extremely tasty and plentiful.Staff couldn’t be more helpful.

Pros: The warm welcome ,the little personal touches like a small Christmas tree decoration in our room with a welcome message,a little Christmas chocolate under our cup at breakfast the first morning. Our room was very comfortable and warm, the ensuite was spotless and had plenty of body products. The breakfast was exceptional with plenty of choice and the quality and presentation of the food of the highest standard. Would highly recommend stay at this establishment.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike. Everything was perfect.
