Pros: The hotel is beautiful located, with many possibilities for long walks. That in combination with a beautiful lodge with a fire place, made the holliday very pleasant.
Cons: Long drive to the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great view, super friendly stuff, perfect
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location, the service, the cleanliness and presentation were brilliant. The food we had was excellent.
Cons: Understanding local food produce was used, for someone who isn’t a fish lover the menu was limited as we were staying a full week. Totally appreciate that most visitors only stayed 2 or 3 nights. It would have been helpful to have a second chair in the room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, fabulous view from one of our rooms, the restaurant view. Lovely food
Cons: Liked everything
7.5 Good
Pros: Dog friendly hotel, friendly staff, nice big room.
Cons: We had to leave our dog in the room whilst we had breakfast. We did ask if we could have our breakfast in the bar area, where dogs were allowed, but this was declined. The other hotels that we stayed at did allow this. It is perhaps something the hotel could consider in the future.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: the weather. 5 days of heavy cloud, drizzle and then pouring rain took the edge off our holiday.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, delicious food and friendly, helpful staff.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location looking out to the Summer Isles. Great room with sea views. Comfortable lounge. Attentive staff. Excellent dinner menu and breakfasts.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything - it was a great place! And the view is exceptional!
Cons: Clutching at straws here but having to reserve in either the bar or restaurant takes a bit of the spontaneity away but it was honestly really great!!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Food here is fantastic, whether you eat in the bar or dining room.
Cons: No TV

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location right on the Shore Street waterfront, all the bars and restaurants are literally a minute's walk away. The hostel has a great sized dining area, and a cosy little lounge too. Facilities were very clean. Great wee hostel.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The position on the waterfront was brilliant. Close to cafes. Staff were great. Beds were comfortable. They even provided gluten free bread at breakfast.
Cons: We had no complaints.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Particularly the kitchen was well equipped and clean. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day and the showers/toilets were also well maintained. I found the staff helpful friendly and engaged. They were also polite and clearly enjoyed meeting and being there for their guests. It was also refreshing to encounter so many different people and nationalities and most of the guests were pleasant amicable people. The hostel really made my stay a complete success and I'm seriously contemplating returning next year!
Cons: I think if each bed in the shared rooms could have an individual reading lamp this would prevent a lot of tension at bedtime. People wanted lights on lights off and it was difficult on a couple of occasions to negotiate the situation to eveyone's satisfaction. There was a little table lamp instead of the main light but individual bedside lamps under the shelves perhaps would make a huge difference!

7.0 Good
Pros: The food in the restaurant was great! Fresh local ingredients.
Cons: The accomodation is very basic.
4.3 Okay
Pros: The public areas were OK and the breakfast acceptable.
Cons: We were in room 4, it was small and very tatty. The decor was dark and very dated, perhaps from 1970s. The bed was OK, there was a damaged mirror on the wall and the wash basin was in the bedroom not the bathroom. The was a shower over the bath which was slippery and no grab rail, dangerous for old people. The towels were very worn and no bath mat just 2 useless bits of paper. Very overpriced at 120.00 try and find somewhere else.
7.0 Good
Cons: While clean, the decor in the room is dated and basic.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The food was very good and the bed comfy
Cons: The en-suit was aged and very small
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Absolutely nothing!
Cons: The rooms were described on booking.com as 151 square feet - they are no more than 15 feet long by 4 feet wide!! The worst rooms I have ever taken my groups to in the UK - ever! We paid £120 per room. All three rooms had shower basins which would not drain leaving the water to spill over and onto the floor which then found its way under the carpet into the rooms - outrageous. The toilet area was not clean in all 3 rooms and in one of the rooms the toilet seat was not fixed securely to the toilet. We complained to the owner and his response was "...if that is how you feel..." It was nothing to do about how we felt about the rooms - we were stating facts! The owner did not care - simple as!
4.3 Okay
Pros: Poor accommodation for price, disappointing bathroom with rotten timbers, dated appearance inside and out. Superior hotels significantly cheaper.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms friendly staff great breakfast
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: My first time stay in a motel, much better than the motels that I saw from the movies: clean room and good breakfast.
Cons: I think it’s a bit pricy as a motel.
7.7 Good
Pros: I only stayed one night, but enjoyed my stay. I watched the Champions League final at the bar and they had some local beers in tap. Great breakfast, friendly staff, and good price would recommend.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The bike was right outside the door

Cons: A lift would have helped but was not essential - highland hotels were not designed with them in mind.

Cons: Not much really, decent overall.
5.0 Okay
Pros: location
Cons: Hotel needed refurbished
6.3 Good
Pros: Great atmosphere in bar on Friday night.
Cons: It was a bit pricey for what you got.
7.0 Good
Pros: Most of it including the band that entertained the bar area until about eleven.
Cons: Not being able to get to sleep because of the noise from customers or possibly neighbours that went on well past midnight and into the small hours. We had a long drive the following day.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast room manageress was genuinely warm and welcoming, and the breakfasts were great. The rest of my stay was very disappointing. I would not recommend this property.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff very friendly, good breakfast, good pub with live music, good location in Ullapool
Cons: The property needed some TLC. For example the hole in the ceiling above the stairs. We had a 4 bunk room so we couldn’t expect too much but could do with somewhere to sit that isn’t a bunk, especially as there was no where else to go except for the pub below. Overall the youth hostel would have been better value for the price, especially as breakfast wasn’t included
7.5 Good
Pros: Value for money and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Very very noisy. Very old

6.8 Good
Pros: Small, dog-friendly hotel, very convenient for the ferry. Rooms on the small side but good view over the bay from the top floor. A table was reserved for us at very short notice for dinner (which was appreciated as they were busy) but we decided to go elsewhere as we needed a walk - the seafood being served looked excellent though.
Cons: I had forgotten that breakfast was not included in the price and in hindsight I wish that we had gone elsewhere as it was nothing special. We could not take the dog into the restaurant and had to wait for a table to be set up in the bar area. As there was only one waitress doing everything we started setting up a table ourselves which did not go own too well.
6.8 Good
Pros: The room had a brilliant view and was very comfy, good beer and food.
Cons: It wouldn’t suit someone who wanted peace as it’s a noisy pub, breakfast food was great but service was erratic and somewhat chaotic!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The room. Looks at a brick wall. The shower was either scalding or freezing. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall in the corridor. There was mould in the shower. The carpet (in the bathroom!!!) had all these loose threads sticking up around the hand basin pedestal and kickboard. It was a horrible, tired and unkempt inn. It cost £125 for the dreadful room - way overpriced.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfy, great sleep
Cons: The TV wasn't working
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The food is excellent, as is the service.
Cons: The decor could do with updating, it's tired and overdue a tidying up. Gents loo in the bar was an experience (could have been the last guy before me, but I doubt it).
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was perfect! The breakfast was very good. Dinner was also good.
Cons: The mattress was too firm for our taste. The carpet and furnishings are a bit worn and tattered around the edges.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and approachable staff-happy for us to play board games after a lovely dinner! Location was stunning with a view from our room across the loch.
6.3 Good
Pros: The view is brilliant (if you have a sea front room, as we did). Can't comment on the food - we didn't have breakfast, and we ate out in the evenings.
Cons: This is a pub with rooms, so it's rather noisy, especially on nice evenings when people drink outside. Also, although all linen etc was perfectly clean, the same was not true of the carpet, and the paint needs attention - this traditional pub/hotel hasn't yet gone through the thorough makeover that some of its Scottish equivalents have. A little overpriced for its condition.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Shabby, tired decor and not very clean. Carpet in the bathroom and chair in the bedroom were grubby. Can’t believe they charged so much for such poor accommodation.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The room was clean as was the bedding. The breakfast was good as were the the dinners.
Cons: One room was so small it did not have a wardrobe but four hooks on the wall, though it was for two people there was one small plastic chair. There was a shower but no bath,no chest of drawers, the shower base was cracked. The other Room booked was larger, clean with a comfortable bed however the tv did not work, there were three ceiling lights but Only one worked again there was only one chair. There was a banging door fora large part of the night and beneath Our window a generator ran all night. Finally the carpet was badly stained and on the staircase wallpaper was hanging of the wall. The dining room layout in no way fit for a reasonably sized inn. We will not be going back!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good.
Cons: I had dinner one evening and I wish I hadn't bothered as it was not very nice and certainly not worth the money.
4.3 Okay
Cons: The hotel is in desperate need of a makeover. Rooms are dreary and rundown. Has the atmosphere of a halfway house. Sound insulation is very poor, so you hear creaking floorboards all the time. You probably don't want to be here for more than one night.
5.0 Okay
Cons: More than outdated.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cheap and satisfactory
Cons: Nothing
4.5 Okay
