Very clean and well staffed. Nicks and dimed you for activities that are normally included in the "resort fee" at comparable resorts
Location, scenic, quiet Ageing facility, Wi-Fi coverage
Staff was great and very helpful. We stayed in a marina villa. It was perfect for our family of 5 (3 adult children) plus grandmom! The kitchen was well equipped, full size fridge and dishwasher. There was a washer and dryer in the second bathroom. The men loved the accessibility to fishing/ charters. The women loved the spa. The location of the resort is perfect. We could venture out to Islamorada(20-25 minutes) and get to Key West (1:15-20) too. Marathon is very close and you have access there to gas stations and grocery stores. There were planned activities everyday for all ages, although they usually cost extra. The wifi was very spotty despite having a router in the villa. Room service was a bit rude and unaccommodating. We only ordered once, so maybe it was just one person that left a bad taste. It would have been helpful to have some sponges/dish towels in the kitchen along with a few basics like salt and pepper and coffee filters.
We upgraded to a Junior Suite when we arrived and were very happy with the room. Layout was great, we had a great view. It was too cold to utilize the pool or any of the outdoor dun stuff. While it deterred us, there were from crazy people laying by the pool in Parkas! Food was great - we only ate the breakfast Buffet Were got there around 8is, we were looking for something light to eat and a couple of drinks. When we sat down we were handed to Alma restaurant menu which is their fine dining restaurant. We were told that they took away the bar menu. Only other thing I noticed was that the gym was way to small. Felt claustrophobic and like they had just shoved every piece of equipmen that they could into this little tiny room.
Nice and quiet place.Staff was great, clean and updated rooms. The lagoon looks awesome on the picture, but in reality is a small pond, not even kids can swim there. This picture is a joke .Room was 250$ which ok,plus 85$ taxes and other fees and on the top 45$ resort fee.(we didnt take any extras).Nobody expect 380$ for one night.
My family and I absolutely love this resort this is our second year coming here. I can't think of a single thing I would change. The staff is great and everyone is always smiling at Hawks Cay. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great family vacation.
Everything fun under the sun different zones for different vibes you want to feel tranquility pool for adults only, 24 hour pool for the entire family, kids play zone with pirate slide waterworks, with additional pool, beautiful property, free trams The valet (Dwight) was rude and standoffish. Georgina at the breakfast buffet was straight nasty and just needs to be fired after basically scolding my child, or have additional "training" I think the Dolphins could have done a better job dealing with the guests
The resort is thoughtfully layed out. The location is great. House keeping service was great. In my 3 day stay, I only ate at the resort. I got the worst food poisoning. I believe it was the Mediterranean platter poolside. I advised the reception desk and they just said they were sorry. No management followed up with me. For that I will not go back.
ROOM AND SERVICE PEOPLE WERE GOOD AND HELPFUL NOT A "4" STAR LUXURY RETREAT BASED ON THE DAILY RATE BUT OK .
Great location, really nice amenities. We liked the setup too, smaller buildings built on the beach with a couple of lagoons. The pitch and putt course was great, as was the inclusion of sea kayaks, fishing poles, and tennis gear. NOT having stand-up paddle boards as part of the "resort fee" when virtually everything else is included is sort of dumb. The Atlantic Edge restaurant is pretty good, but way over priced for the fare when compared to other local restaurants. That said, there are LOTS of other local places so don't feel compelled to spend twice as much for a piece of fresh local fish.
Everything! Felt very private everywhere! The grounds were beautiful. Decor elegant. Staff very nice and incredibly accommodating. Service at bar and restaurant a little slow to start. Would like the pool water to be a little cooler.
Great facility. Easily accessible. Professional and courteous staff members. Nice and clean
Loved it, the amenities were great considering most resorts charge you for all the activities. The food and service was great and the place is so beautiful and lush.
The 2-bdrm beach house was charming, immaculate, very comfortable and spacious. The beach was very nice and quite large. The Butterfly Cafe on the premises was an excellent restaurant. Our neighbors were playing some loud music. It stopped after about an hour, so we never complained.
Nice rooms, beautiful pools, etc No possibility to print out check-in documents, very unfriendly staff. No reaction on complaints
Great! Beautiful accomodations. Nice facility! Odd smell out by beach
The resort had excellent facilities for self catering and a restful holiday. Beautiful grounds, spacious villas - we had a 3 bedroom villa for a family of four, which would easily have slept 6 and 8 at a push. No, we loved everything
Key Lime Martini!! I liked our Waiter (Cheryl)@Butterfly restaurant and Bartender@ Tiki (Styphon)... Too much attention to what one can't do!!! Makes a coldness about the place, to be soo nice.
Great Position, and very nice accomodation, beautiful grounds. Nearby, Steak and Lobster restaurant worth a visit, proper American food at reasonable prices Service charges and Taxes jack up the already hefty costs. Beach Bar chaged $5 for a very small fruit juice for the children PLUS 18% service. Kitchen ware not very comprehensive, lack of furniture in lesser bedrooms.
We loved our condo, the proximity to the pool and beach, the grounds, and the Tiki Bar!
We stayed there for one night with another couple. We enjoyed it so very much and will be returning. It is more beautiful than we had all expected. Great bang for the buck!
Very peaceful, lots of grounds, it doesn't have the feel of lots of people on property. An adults pool. Several different areas on the property to relax - adult pool, lagoon pool huge beach for the keys Yes - the room did not have a few things that should be standard in the room - glassware, toaster It took several calls to the front desk, an approach to a housekeeping person and then finally a walk to the front desk - 3 hours to get 4 little glass's for the room.
Beautiful property, large rooms, full kitchen, balconies off each bedroom and back porch off living room. Incredible sunset views from beach. Huge, family-friendly pool with exquisite landscaping. Awesome workout facility. Need mats inside back door, the tile floors were very slippery. Housekeeping does not come daily. I would have liked to have the beds made and floors swept daily.
I enjoyed the peace and quiet! We've stayed at Tranquility Bay before, so I knew what to expect. Our room was clean and fresh each day. More eating spots or hidden away vending machines...
Room was on the beachView and Boardwalk Courteous and helpful staff We didn't like the matchbox sized shower, really small a/c unit that couldn't cool the room, difficulty with accessing the fridge and freezer due to the opening of the doors being on the opposite side and fridge door wouldn't seal tight. Flat pillows
Really bad, uncomfortable bed, a leaking in the bathroom, old ac making so much noise over the night and price was too expensive for the Quiality.
Checking out... Too much too type. BED BUGS. BED BUGS. BED BUGS. The unit had a 15% slant to the upper floor. Infested with millipedes. Towels were thin as toliet tissue. Bought my own locally. Coffee pot but no filters. A train wreck.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Nothing Room was way overpriced,! Slept in our clothes in fear of bugs. Big flies and lots of little flies were flying around in the room. Grounds were not kept up. Place is in shambles!!!! Husband got bit by something or a spider. Hated it, will never go back!!!
The manager was so pleasant. He took the time to be sure we were satisfied, even stopped in to check on us.
Nothing we had to leave because we couldn't stay another night.if u are looking for hotel and everything is booked wait another time to go.need to tear it down.don't know how they pass inspection. It is a rat hole.would not upgrade.or money back.wrong pic Hotel was old and run down.hotel charged us a resort fee which it was not. No beach access. Pool is as big as a hot tub. So much chlorine couldn't get in. The room was awful shower tile were loose all most cut my feet. TV was a computer moniter.
Couldn't be better considering the price! Kayaks were free to use, you just had to reserve them at the front desk. A good number of hammocks and chairs around for guests to sit in while lounging around the common area as well. The room was beautiful with a fantastic view and a private deck, absolutely loved it!! There was also a kitchenette with dishes to use, so if you were staying there for longer you could make some food and eat at the little table in the room. There were reserved spaces for some of the rooms, but ours was a "B" numbered room so there was no real place to park, and we had to park our car off the highway in the grass next to the building.
Staff was attentive, friendly and made our visit very relaxing and pleasurable. Violet and Shelby were wonderful and met all of our lodging and resort needs.
The grounds and buildings were very nice. There was plenty of hammocks and chairs. There could have been more lounge chairs on the ground. There were plenty at the pool and sauna. Both were very clean. I thought everyone was every friendly. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is a long way from everything. Closest place was MM 80. The room was nice but for me the attention is in the details. We only had one bar of soap for 2 days, I had 2 go get a bar for the shower. The shower didn't have a shelf for the soap or shampoo. They gave u shampoo but no conditioner. Not enough towels. The cleaning is lax, there was sand on our floor the whole week, they didn't take the empty bottles, the one light was missing 2 bulbs/4. The clock didn't work. though they immediately brought one when I called. The furniture was a hod podge .The fixtures were all rusted and the vanity had seen better days. There was a lot of garbage under one of the beds. W had ants in all our food that was on the counter. The comp breakfast was pitiful. Only orange juice, no apple. no fruit. Just coffee, tea, muffins, danish and bagels. There is a rule for everything. The supposedly heated pool was across the street and the water was very cold.
Beachfront view, pier and comfortable rooms. The new restaurant, staff did not come across welcoming, we ordered cocktails which were very poorly presented and bland not to mention expensive. That was disappointing.
Rooms aren't anything too fancy but overall nice. But staying in the keys I don't think you need a lot inside because I'd imagine most are coming to be outside. The complimentary breakfast is basic (bagels, pastries, juice, etc) and you can buy eggs, pancakes, etc. The views are amazing! Right on the water and plenty of places to relax outside! Overall, nice stay.
The view was amazing, nice beach furniture, free kayaks. Poor staff experience, maid walked into room before checkout, no towels in room, Must leave resort after checkout, heated pool in July, no door or beverage on property.
We loved the full kitchen in our studio, waterfront room, well manicured grounds with hammocks, lounge chairs and bbqs! Bed was older, staff was strict about checkout time
Very nice layout.. Good size room. I drove through the night to arrive at the hotel. I then saw a sign stating open from 8 am to 10 pm. I had no where to go in the middle of the night. I had to go and get another hotel room. No where in any of the booking or confirmation letters was there any information stating to arrive by 10 pm. Apparently there is a sign the size of my hand in a pitch black front door area stating late arrivals to go to the back of building. This was very unclear and I was not satisfied with my experience
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The townhouse we rented was very clean and beautifully decorated. The outside premises was very clean and kid friendly. I loved the outdoor hammocks and open space for the children to play. I also like that they offer recreational activities for their guest. I wanted a later check out which was not available as well as the complimentary breakfast was somewhat limited. However it was very minor compared to the other fantastic amenities.
We absolutely loved staying here! The price is affordable for the Keys, continental breakfast included, free use of kayaks, free wifi that actually works, pool & hot tub, hammocks & comfy seating galore... This place is fantastic. We were looking for a relaxing getaway in a clean hotel & that's exactly what we got. I recommend the kitchen suite so you can cook your own meals to save money & because this hotel has no restaurants in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again anytime! It never bothered me, but you can hear highway noise, but hey, this is the keys, one main road running thru, so almost any hotel you will hear the highway.
The townhouse was very spacious. The staff was extremely rude. Basically kicked us off property after check out.
Nice pool and jacuzzi Old beds, rooms are old and a bit musty. Tv did not work. Was a bit more like a motel than a hotel
Awesome location, beautiful grounds, and an amazing beach front. Rooms were modern despite an older feel to the resort. Construction at the time of visit. They cut through a sewer line near my room and it was stanky. Was a minor annoyance and did not detract from my trip. But you may want to check and make sure the constuction has been completed.
The basic room was fantastic ! Lobed my stay! Nothing
Would highly recommend. Service was excellent. Room was comfy and nice.
I loved the view and the size of the rooms however they were dated. There is nowhere to even buy a bottle of water on the resort. Needs a tiki bar and at least a snack bar.. Or soda machine!
The place they moved us to was ok for the time we had it was near the dive shop and good restaurants still would have like to stay where we planned on staying. The staff was nice and rooms clean Check in was not tell after 4pm check out was by 11am even though we could stay and use beach after checking out it seemed rushed maybe next time we can stay longer and at the main resort.
We have been coming here for about 6 years now for lobster mini season, accommodations are perfect for us.... It would be awesome if the marina could comfortably accommodate midsize boats, I'm talking about 24' to 30' range... my dredging out some of the slips and channel. But I also understand that there are environmental red tape and hefty fees to make that happen down in the keys...
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff could use a lesson in how to run a hotel
one bedroom with full kitchen sofa bed was broken and housekeeping said oh well sorry...and did nothing for fix...stay away from room 118
The pool was beautiful and is heated! The views were amazing. At the time we stayed there was no wifi. There were tiny gnats crawling around the bathroom sink every day. The window hinge was broken so that the window would not close; however this was fixed immediately by the staff by screwing the window permanently shut. There was a coffee pot with supplies to make coffee, but no cups provided.
Very nice marina. Too pricey for what it is.
Very clean, nice room. Very kind staff
For a car-trip the hotel is perfectly situated on the middle-island, not too far from Key West. Servieminded personell and fresch room. Comfortable beds and clean bathroom. All good! Remember that taxes of around 12% is added on the roomprice. This is for all hotels in all of us.
I like the fact that the hotel was a short ride to the beach.
Very friendly and quiet, perfect stop before Key West No facilities, but close to shops and restaurants
Easy check in, simple parking, very clean room, and friendly staff. No breakfast.
Room was neat and clean and smelled "fresh!" Felt very safe and comfortable.
Clean and conveniant
clen, comfortable, frriendly staff a/c very noisy, unable to use at nightime
Reasonably priced. Close to one of the nicest beaches in the keys: Sombrero Beach. A small table to seat outside (for example to have breakfast)
It was old Florida. Like it has been since the 1950's, but clean and well-maintained. The kids liked the pool. We liked that it had a fridge and nice area outside to eat.
The first impression of the motel was the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk person, Lacey. The room was very nice and comfy. I would also recommend the restaurant/bar down the road, The Hurricane Grille.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
There is no reception after hours.
The location and the view of the sunset. Our room (room 20) smelled strongly of urine. We asked for assistance, they claimed it was the cleaner they used. They stated they cleaned it with bleach for us. There was little change, and the smell returned. We do appreciate their attempt to correct.
Location on west end of Marathon, close to 7 Mile Bridge and Bahia Honda. Less than an hour to Key West. Cute little old motel, rooms small but clean, beautifully landscaped. Close to great restaurants, and the price is definitely right.
This hotel is good. As a two star hotel, Blackfin Resort is clean and comfortable. The location is great. There are may stores around. And It is also very near the Seven Mile Bridge. It is 1-hour drive from Key west.
Food, beach Check in time and far away to key west
A bit funky and very laid-back atmosphere as you would hope for in the Keys. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Room was extremely quiet and parking could not be more convenient. No.
It is a nice older hotel. Great location. Very clean. The grounds are very well kept. It has a nice beach area and marina. Everyone was very friendly. Room had a kitchen with a stove microwave, small frig and coffee maker. I would stay here again. Air conditioner was loud. Room could use some remodeling but it was very clean which is most important to me.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Marina and beach area were very pleasant and peaceful. Not really, but by calling it a 'Resort', I was comparing it to other resorts we were staying at in Key Largo & Key West, and this one is not as elaborate. A bit misleading in its description.
it is not so good
Very friendly and clean.Everything was fantastic! The only small disappointment was the 'private beach' but the beds and pillows very comfortable!
Clean Lighting outside the room
There was some remodeling but I'm sure once lt's done it would be amazing
Great hot tub area, nice to have a bar right near the pool so you can have lunch pool side, little play area in the sand was a nice plus, very modern and the food was incredible. So many things...we asked for the nearest boat ramp and they directed us to one miles away when they had one on location. I called ahead and asked about accommodations. They said every room has a pull out couch. It was a pull out chair...not couch. Couldn't sleep our family comfortably. Wanted ice, 2 different staff directed me to 2 different floors where there wasn't an ice machine.
The resort was clean and well designed and appointed after the renovation. They had given my reservation away and took a while to assign a room while they looked for the snafu. They did provide free drinks and breakfast for the delay, though! So that was thoughtful and accommodated for the delay.
the beach is nice, not too many beaches in the keys. very nice view of the ocean, and it was great to be able to have access to swim in the ocean. the pool was very nice , as well, kids love the pool. The rooms and everything else were very comfortable. Because I am on a lower budget, the only way we were able to stay there was through a 3rd party offer. We were there only for 2 nights. Food and drinks are always pretty expensive at places like this, so I couldn't partake, as I would of liked.
Hotel was beautifully decorated with a nice pool, beach and outdoor bar Nothing
The staff was exceptional - took care of the snake in my room, showed me how to use coffee pot, and telephone, fixed the TV and put new battery in safe. All unnecessary if it had been done prior to my arrival. The decor is lovely and the grounds pretty and well kept. Liked the hot tub. Kudoos to Annette I don't think the room was checked prior to my occupancy. or been occupied in some time The TV didn't work, the safe didn't work (dead battery) no instructions as to use of phone, coffee pot. the floor of balcony was dirty, no instructions to prevent shower flooding bathroom. I don;t expect to have to call maintenance several times in a 4 day stay when I go for rest and relaxation. It is a handicap room and a flooded floor could cause me to fall...
Renovations were very well done has a luxury feel to it. Beautiful views pool side. Great little bocce court and swings and slide. Good central location in the keys. Small hidden hot tub. We reserved for 4 people and the uncomfortable pull out couch with springs in the mattress was only a twin. We tried to get another room each of the 4 nights with no luck. Lots of tiny jelly fish (sea lice) in the ocean entry area. I did not get stung, but both of my kids did.
the rooms were big, nice beds bathroom was dirty also the towels were dirty ( they had hair on them) The service at the restaurant was slow
I liked everything about it! The front desk member Annette was most helpful. I didn't bring my id to get drinks because I didn't want to lose it in the sand or water. I was denied a drink at the Amarca Bay bar outside. I recommend that there a be a system in place that allows guests to charge drinks to their room. Try temporary database of guest's proof of age to the Front desk conputers, or distribute a proof of age wristband.
nice rooms, all 1st floor, nice pools, breakfast included (but basic) Prsonell at the desk need to pay more attention to their guests than to their pc monitor
I loved the layout of the grounds and the fact that everything was just outside of your room. The beach was huge and the pool(s) were amazing. The people at the Tiki Bar were very friendly. The front office staff was abrupt and the blue pool towels were very poor quality.
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at Islander and could not have been more impressed with the facility! We loved the rooms, amenities and especially the proximity to the ocean. The room was clean and spacious, we were able to walk around the property which is beautiful and we enjoyed the pool, Tiki Bar and Hot tub very much. We will most surely be back. Nothing.
The location is great, the staff is friendly and and the resort layout is pefect with the tiki bar amost on the seawall beach. None worth mentioning.
No one cleaned outlet rooms.
The room was great! Had everything we needed and more! Wish we booked more days. We will be back!
The room was nice and spacious. We enjoyed being able to walk down and access the water without having to go anywhere. The restaurant was delicious and workers were super friendly. The front desk staff when we checked in weren't very engaging. Even when we checked out they were very matter of fact and didn't try to engage us. When we were walking out there was one that ask if we had fun and enjoyed our stay. She definetly out shined anyone else working in that department.
The outside was ok the rooms, were not nice at all.... Did not like the room, it had an uncoftably strong huminity smell and the wall paper was coming off due to the mold between the wall and the paper, also the shower was cloged and very uncoftable to use,
It was very expensive for the quality - room not to clean - staff not very nice. The site was also the most horrible in the Keys, in not recommend the city of Marathon in the Keys.
Very close to seafood center of Marathon. Good value for location. Nope. Well just that they need to be a clearer on their "beach" Its really a coral rock bulkhead
Great location - amazing spot to watch the sunrise in the morning. Very noisy air conditioner. Had to turn that off to sleep at night.
This is a beautiful and quaint hotel with a great setting by the ocean. I honestly thought it would be a little more rough around the edged judging by the price but my room with new, clean, and well stocked. The view was stunning! I don't want to complain because this is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in the keys but the sheets were a bit rough, especially if your sunburned.
Everything! There are no words to describe how perfect this place is! Beautiful, friendly, exceptional and the price is extremely reasonable for what you get. I want to live there!!!
It's a charming little hotel resort from the 1940s. If you like that type of hotel, this is one of the nicest I've been to. No
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The location was great! The pool is ok but gets better after a few drinks. The beach activities are fun too. Had a great time snorkeling and paddle boarding. The food was AMAZING and very reasonable priced. The $25 resort fee is a joke(it includes parking, internet, and beach activities). If I have paid for a hotel, I don't want to have to pay more once I get there just to check in. The rooms were very small and had non functional furniture. There is nowhere to store your clothing. The water trampoline had a big tare in it so bouncing was out. The large inflatable rafts in the lagoon all had popped and were removed from the water during our stay. The pool was ok but really needed some upkeep. The bar looked like it was about to topple over into the pool. The alcohol was overpriced. All and all, we had a good time with our friends and family but I doubt I would come back. The resort was way too expensive for the value I received.
Did not know the tiki bar was closed for renovations. But overall was a good place to stay for the money.
The location, ocean view, amenities and friendly staff Both bars closed for renovation. Bars that were open had rotting wood and mildew. Frozen oysters at raw bar.
I loved that the resort fee included paddle Boarding and kayaks Did not care for the choice of music played at the Saturday BBQ
The place was really nice. Great location. Great restaurants in the area. The only issue was the shower. I can't descibe how bad it was. The room was nicely done but they forgot to update the shower. The shower and the maids. You couldn't even get them to say good morning. It became a game - who can get the maid to respond to good morning.
the grounds were lovely and well kept and a beautiful place. lots of lounge chairs etc. and the staff was wonderful, especially, dave at beach services and Lita at the pool bar . ate at the raw bar and the food was good.We had a wonderful time and the only draw back was the awful room. a very pretty place. the room was terrible. extremely small and poor lighting. bathroom was in need of work. except for the bed it was not a comfortable room to be in. a big disappointment ! there was no place to sit your things down or store your cases. smallest room I have ever stayed in.
The location and staff were great. Our room was very noisy when others were in the hall or adjacent rooms; this made it very difficult to sleep. A construction crew started working outside of our room very early in the morning. Our A/C wasn't very cold. The resort is undergoing renovations, and the amenities in service are very dated. The area was under a small craft advisory during our stay and they wouldn't let us use the watersports equipment.
We love the Post Card Inn for many reasons. one is that everything is in one place. You don't have to leave the property if you don't want to. The waterfront view with beach and pool is amazing. We also liked that they added a lot of fun activities on premises. We, along with other guests, were extremely disappointed that Rum Runners was closed. Being that we were there on the weekend during the busy season, we were looking forward to going to Rum Runners. Sunday morning we were awakened by a bob cat driving directly past our room four times from 8-8:20am. There always seems to be another fee, resort fees every day, fee for a late check out, etc but they were nice enough to take a resort fee of the bill for the bob cat incident.
Very modern room...although short on electrical outlets. Large, comfortable, and clean for a beach hotel. Lots of beach activities included in price which is great. Front desk clerks very nice and helpful. The hallways...made of concrete which is understandable but in your room you can hear guests walking, talking, etc.
The activities! The Bad service in the tiky bar
the view of the ocean the pool the restaurants the tiki bar was under construction the hotel still needs some updating the bathtub was in poor condition the stairs need paint could use an elevator
The property is very nice on the outside, where you spend most of your time. All staff was helpful (water equipment rental booth, front desk, and maintenance) Came to the Keys hoping to see iguanas and they had a large family hanging out in a remote section of the property! Water equipment is free to use daily for about an hour at a time. There is no area to grill. As a returning renter, I was disappointed their massive bar Rum Runners is permanently closed. The Tiki Bar was under renovation, and the room prices don't seem to fluctuate to reflect that, thus upon arrival my full expectations were not met. Obvious A/C leaking causing water damage to ceiling suggests they need to spend time inspecting/repairing units.
We have gone to Sombrero off an on for the last 16 years. This time it seems lacking on maintenance on the rooms. (glass separating from slider door frame--dangerous) Late in the day you want to use the pool to cool off and relax, employees show up with lots and lots of kids, not good if you are paying to relax and swim. Our most disliked factor of the stay was the pool problem. Otherwise it was nice but we found another place that we feel will be suitable for our next stay in the keys.
We enjoyed the location of Sombrero hotel and the free use of their boat ramp and trailer parking they offer to guests. The marina is about a 30 minute ride from Sombrero Reef Light. Some of the property appeared to be occupied by extended stay patrons that enjoyed settling their domestic problems at midnight over a few too many drinks. Some nights were less than restfull. We got our money worth from the stay. Not unhappy.
Nice hotel, big rooms, terrasse, pool area, free breakfast offered (which was good), nothing to complain about.
it was a nice place but the parking spaces were limited
The pool was decent enough, and the room was newly renovated the breakfast was insuffient
Cleanliness and roominess. Staff was very cordial.
Nothing--dingy overvalued for the money. The rooms are spartan. Was alll night busy noisy a/C. The worst night I ever spent in a motel.
helpful staff difficult to find
The Sombrero staff was courteous and our room was totally clean....wonderfully comfy beds! The only view from our balconies was of other buildings, but this was not an issue for us. We were only in our room when we were not at Fantasy Fest.
I liked the size of the rooms and the kitchen being available , the AC.., daily breakfast... The " privilege fee" that we were charged , the quality of kitchen appliances, the unkind mumbling of the breakfast lady when cleaning after the guests who did not tip , the TV remote hardly working ...I would rather lose the breakfast and privilege fees and pay less next time. Thank you.
Fair marina The room had very bad cigarrettes smell....
Beautiful lighthouse behind the hotel. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Nice size bathroom with shower head. The pull out sofa had white mold growing on the bottom of it. The room also had a funny smell the first day we were there. I prepaid through Kayak but the hotel tried to charge me the full room rate when I was checking out (over $115 more than I originally paid).
The room was huge and had a great view of the beach. They upgraded us at no charge. This is a good place to stay if you want to pay less than Key West and are wiling to drive to get to the things you want to see.
Location, Location, Location! Beautiful sunrise. The front desk staff was awesome and welcoming. Free parking and close access to other businesses in the area. Restaurant located directly in front of the hotel. Unfortunately, the room had a funky smell to it . We were only staying one night and we dealt with it. The resort fee threw me off as well as I did not see or use any amenities - everyone is charging it whether there are amenities or not.
The view, the rooms are cozy and makes you feel at home The beach is not the pretiest, but there is plenty of that.
Location Stairs and no view. Having made reservations well in advance, we were disappointed in the room we were put in.
Awesome location. Friendly staff. Neighbours were annoying, management helped us out though
The size of the room was the only positive thing I could say! The bugs in both beds! The bed sheets were not fresh at all. There were hairs on the sheets and pillow cases that were not ours.
The rooms were gorgeous little mini cottages that were so comfy and inviting. The small private beach area offers an amazing view and is incredibly relaxing to spend time on in the morning and evening! The termite situation caught me a little off-guard though I realize it couldn't be helped. I just didn't expect the little insects to make themselves at-home on my laptop screen.

Staff was friendly. Rooms were nice. Bathroom was updated. Free wifi. Pretty much everything was spot on. Not a luxury place but great for the price Couldn't get the wifi to work.
The hotel was terrible, the bathroom was dirty. Te air conditioner didn't work. There was no parking I had to park outside the hotel. I was a terrible experience I will not recommend this hotel to anyone
Room is large and clean. Water pressure in bathroom is low. No writing desk.
actually lost. Room key but guy was there to let is in right away
Very clean, large room. Close to things to do, nice central location. Bed wasn't that comfortable
Low price. Easy to find. Room had a fridge and a coffee maker with coffee provided. Advertised free Wi-fi, but we could never connect. Bed was saggy.
Cleanliness of the room far exceeded what I have was expecting. My experienced in other major hotel chains as of late have been poor. Everything worked and property was very quite.
surprisingly the bed and pillows were comfy when I judge a hotel I need 3 workings things. internet, A/C and bedding. the A/C and Bedding worked out just fine but the internet did not work in my room. I had to go outside for me to pick up a signal. and on top of that the internet was SLOW.
GOOD HOTEL AND LOCATION THE STAFF VERY POOR
Liked it all! The facilities were very well taken care of. Room was spotless and beddings smelled right out of the washer and dryer. No
location and price and it had a pool no clock in the room. they couldn't find a replacement and we needed to get up early one morning. had our son call to wake us up since the staff doesn't come in until 9 a.m. also no plug in in the bathroom for the blow dryer.
Yes, it reeked of cleaning chemicals; there was so much bleach (or whatever they used) the floor was slippery.
It was convenient and clean (though it had a somewhat strong bleach smell upon checking in). There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom for a hair dryer and the outlet located in the bedroom had no mirror for styling one's hair. Only coffee provided was decaf. Pool was out-of-service upon check in (in July in FL !!).
Location...although restaurants are a few Mile's away No internet available with limited office hours available
