Got my card statement got over charged $45.
Rooms weren't very clean and were very outdated
The location was the only good thing. It's right at the entrance of the park.
We arrived and the staff was not very friendly. They were arguing with each other because they double booked a room. Our room smelled of mildew. There were stains on everything. Two of the lights did not work in the room. The floor was sticky. The AC did not work. The sound on the tv did not work, I had to rewire it and reprogram it. I would not recommend this room to anyone. It was very outdated and I wouldn't stay there again if it were free. Very disappointed and upset we spent so much money on a dirty uncomfortable room.
Management Needs To Step It Up
Convenient location and comfortable bed.
Place lacked basic cleaning. Dust on fans, walls not wiped down, etc. They need to remodel too. Part of my bathroom mirror frame had melted, and there was stains and cigarette burns all over the sheet and comforter set. Plus, when you walk into your room, your immediately reminded of your grandmother's damp basement.
The location is perfect. It has always been out go to place to stay
To begin with the room was not as clean as it typically is there. The sink was either dirty or stained and there were some toenail clippings next to the bed but we had never had a problem before and I didn't want to ruin our trip so it was overlooked. The wifi never worked in the room but that was the least of our concerns. The drawer in the dresser broke as soon as I tried to set clothes in it. The second day there a teribble smell (like a dead animal) began occurring by the first floor stairwell that was still there when we left a few days later. The air conditioning units leak water everywhere which I understand air conditioners will do but after they filled up the containers under them they were left to just go all over the floor. This includes the one on the balcony of our room. The second night we were there my husband and two year old were on the balcony and she was walking back to the room and slipped in the water from the air conditioner. We finally went to the front desk and explained what happened and they did offer to change our room but at this point it wouldn't have fixed the problem of the leaking air conditioners because they all did that and we were already completely unpacked with a two year old so packing back up and moving would have been very hectic and inconvenient. By the next day the water coming from the third floor a/c down onto our 2nd floor balcony made it impossible to walk out on without getting wet. We've always enjoyed our stays here before but this will be our last one until it gets some serious renovations.
The front desk agent checked my employee into a occupied room, when my employee went to the front desk to inform the agent he was told the room we reserved was not available and we would need to speak with a manager in the AM. Me employee went to the front desk the following day to get a room change to the double room I reserved and the agent said we are not changing your room and if you want to speak with a manager call the owners in India. The agent was very rude and unprofessional. would never book at this property again.
Great location. Within walking distance to a lot of Gatlinburg attractions. Nice continental breakfast. Extremely helpful/friendly front desk staff.
Bathroom was extremely dirty. Found hairs in the shower from prior guests. Walls around shower seemed to have some sort of bacteria or mold. Shower curtain had tear in it and was poorly stitched up. Door did not fully close at the top outside jam unless pushed on from the inside. Hotel sign was not lit at night and was damaged.
I just don't know what to say
The only really great feature about our hotel as the location. The lady at the desk at time of check-in was really nice and the second the third shift guy was really nice.
When we better the room it smelled of smoke and it was supposed to be a non-smoking room and then when look at the beds one had a cigarette burn in the blanket. When I went to take my morning shower I frozen my water never got hot and then I pulled a wash cloth off the rack and it had blood on it. We left our room to take children out come back beds where made bathroom had not been cleaned and no extra tools/wash clothes given. At time of check out I said something again to the day shift clerk and she stated she never spoke to me and that I spoke to the other girl and she told her and text house keeping.
Overbooked, rude, and unhelpful
No rooms were available upon arrival, despite advanced reservations with confirmation. Front desk attendant did not care and only offered to upgrade the room for an additional fee. Do not attempt to stay here, you will not get a room for the reservation price, bait and switch.
AC didn't really work, the place was kind of a dump, the staff was disinterested at best, the continental buffet was nasty & loud as heck as they went about their business, even early in the morning.
Pretty much everything about the place.
Best Inn in Gatlinburg
This is our family's favorite place to stay in Gatlinburg because of the indoor, heated pool and the location is right on the main strip.
The breakfast was a lot better last time we stayed, this time it wasn't that great, no hot food. The oatmeal was cold and dried out, the biscuits were cold and unedible.
