The outdoor area around the hotel and the pool. Of course the cookies were fantastic!
I loved how safe and welcoming The Park Vista is. The family pool area was outstanding! Enjoyed! Ate dinner downstairs at the onsite dining area. Didn't care for the Greek Chicken w/Couscous. Very dry
Pool and lounge facilities were top notch. Beautiful building. Amazing view. Because of the view though, you end up quite a ways outside of Gatlinburg proper. Also the bed was akin to a hammock, which my back objected to
Great view of Mount Le Conte. Above, and away from all the activity in Gatlinburg. Very friendly, and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. The restaurant was very nice; good service, good food. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. And the cookies at the front desk! We stayed for a week, most people/families don't, which means that there are a lot of rooms to turn over every day. House keeping has more than they can handle, and on two occasions our room was not cleaned until 5:00 P.M. Check in appears to take a while (that wasn't the case for us), not sure why.
The overall stay was great The staff could be better
We were told we would have two queen sized beds and received two full size beds. For paying as much as we did, not a very nice room at all.
Property is worn out and looks decades old in style. Just a very outdated atmosphere. Room did not get cleaned one day. Maid went in took his/her tip, barely took the trash out, and left everything as she/he found it.
Everything we expected and then some. Staff was courteous, and rooms were quiet. Can't wait to come back again.
Everything was wonderful and the price was also great
When most lower rated hotels would offer a free breakfast we found few amenities. Very disappointed that even the popcorn was overpriced at $3 a bag -should have been free. Other than that the view was beautiful and a nice pool.
It was very clean and staff was very helpful and nice The pool had way too much chlorine all the kids were coughing and their eyes were burning but the area was very clean.
Rooms were nice and clean. Main attraction at the waterpark was closed. The playground was also closed. We have two young children and we wanted to stay here because of the amenities but because they were closed we had to search out other things to do.
Property is well maintained and the staff are very courteous. Plenty of onsite activities every day to keep you busy. Minutes away from Gaylinburg and Pidgeon Forge
The mountains Air conditioner broke two times spilling water on the floor, and they never brought us toilet paper after two days of calling.
Staff was courteous and friendly, the room had every thing you could possibly need I couldn't believe it was a studio room. That I couldn't stay longer.
The staff and accommodations were excellent. I think for the cost to stay there, the water park and other amenities should be included.
The scenery near the resort The rooms, the prices. For a resort, you would assume that at least WIFI was inclusive in the room charge. Nope, it was not. They also try to get you to think that you won something at checking. It was thein 4 hr "come see why it's so good to be an owner" routine. That was the only time any kind of complimentary breakfast was mentioned!
Parking sucked. They will try to have you tour for discounted attractions-- seemed like a good idea but there 90 minute tour with a free breakfast turned out to be over 5 hours of salesmen in your face trying to sell you a timeshare. They waisted one whole day for our weekend vacation. I would much rather pay for the attraction then lose time with them trying to sell me a timeshare for that amount of time. Not upfront or honest. And the great breakfast you get for touring was terrible.
the staff was very responsive and went out of their way to help
Not much No TV ...had to wait 20 mins for shuttle to come when they had 50 golf carts with 6 seats in them pass you by no parking there should be at least 1 parking space per room or villa for 500 for 2 nights water park should be included not an extra 82 dollars next time we will stay at Wilderness of the Smokies
Service and beauty of resort and water park. great staff from check in to bellboy all the way to room. Nothing..
The room and view were great. Website was not clear about extra charge for pets. It states pets are welcome and there was an additional charge but no amount listed. I was expecting an extra $20 charge or so and was completely SHOCKED when at check in they told me it would be $170!!! I would not have booked the room had I known this especially since the rate for the room itself was only $109! Completely ridiculous charge.
Staff was super friendly, breakfast every morning in the lobby was more than expected, and river views from room are amazing. About two blocks from town, shops and dining. There is a trolly right outside hotel if you don't/can't walk a lot. The stream sounds were fantastic! When walking into the room for the first time it was damp. We turned the fan in the bathroom on and opened the balcony door for a bit to let it air out. It never really seemed to 'dry out' in the room. That's okay, there was so much to do in and around town, we mostly slept there. You can hear traffic from parkway in the room.
We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The room was great. Staff was very pleasant. We couldn't have asked for a better location. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. N/A
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Its literally by the water front, the room has an incredible view of the mountains and the local hotels are neat and the town is very tourist friendly, there are local trolleys to help you get around. It's beautiful and full of cute shops, definately worth exploring.
Beds are heavenly. No bad comments
Very nice place and convenient to Gatlinburg and all attractions. Free breakfast was good. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool. We will stay here again. It was a little hard at times to get in and out with all the traffic
Baymont Inn is a decent location just off the main drag which was nice as it was away from the majority of the noise and nightlife. The room was clean and had a fireplace and a patio. Everything in the room was spacious except for the bathroom. Breakfast was good and they kept it stocked throughout. All rooms are accessed from the outside (no internal hallways). You don't have to go into the lobby to gain access to the stairs up to the room. The pool was warm however, it was over chlorinated like most hotel pools. Bathroom was very small and I could tell the place was slowly being updated. I think that the price for this hotel was a lot more than it should have been. This hotel would fit most people's needs its not the best nor the worst.
Balcony on the river, comfortable beds, indoor pool, fire pit traffic noise
Rate and location N/A
Our stay was great. We would definitely stay again. Rooms were very nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Pool area was great as well. Best thing was it's location to downtown we were able to walk every where just about. Only complaint would be that their towels were to small.
it reminded me of Gatlinburg when I was growing up. Simple, clean motel. Off the parkway so it was nice and quiet, but still just a short walk to the main drag. AMAZING pool!!! Unbeatable price, and super friendly staff. We will be back!
The pools Parking needs some work
The cleaning staff was very nice and the riverfront was a plus. There were ants in our room. The minifridge became unplugged sometime when we were asleep the first night and ruined our food in the fridge. When you entered the room the smell was unpleasant and somewhat over powering, took a while to adjust to it.
Great staff, very friendly. The staff were the highlight of this experience. The rooms were average with the standard motel options. Location was close enough that you could walk to the main attractions. For the price it was worth it. The Wi-Fi only worked at the main building and a bit beyond. Did not see any breakfast options available but a fantastic pancake house was nearby. Bathrooms needed updated.
The location and the indoor pool were great. Our room was very small and smelled like mildew/mold. The hotel is very outdated and not very clean. The Wifi did not work most of the time and the shower water kept going from scalding hot to cold without touching anything. We also were put in a "pet friendly" room, which I would NEVER stay in again. If I had known that part of the hotel was "pet friendly" I would have never booked there. We will never stay at this hotel again.
Ask for the creek side rooms with balconys! Hearing the creek from your room was great. Their indoor pool is what sells this place for me and my family. It's a fun pool, with waterfall and hot tub. You can't beat the value for the location and amenities. It's not very fancy or new, but if you're not a fancy person then you'll love it.
Absolute amazing staff! Great location. Couldn't ask for a better place!
After reading some reviews after booking our stay I was worried... we arrived & the staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, a/c worked great, ice machines worked. I found no merit to some concerns addressed in others reviews. Yes this is a older motel but not rundown & I would stay again. We were courtside (across the street) & it was very peaceful. Nothing
There were roaches in room. Staff was nice but we won't stay there again.
We enjoyed the following... Big, warm indoor pool Creek directly under room balcony Comfortable beds Friendly staff Location On-site breakfast Quiet rooms Bathrooms could use a few updates. It was also a cold walk outside from the indoor pool to our room but that's just part of being an older/motel-style establishment.
Everything was great. Had an awesome breakfast. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. Short was from main strip in Gatlinburg.
Location and breakfast and room size Not enough parking on site when full.
It was great. We came in from driving all night from Louisiana, and they let us check in early, once the rooms were clean. We were able to check in about two hours early, possibly even earlier, like I said, we were tired! :) Staff was friendly, housekeeping was great! Very close to all the attractions, and good views. We will definitely stay again our next time to Gatlinburg. The pool area could have been cleaner. We did not swim, but would have if we were staying longer. I am not sure if it was in construction being this time of the year, but the fountain (??) area was not working and just looked sort of drab.
I looked for a cheap place to stay, and that's what this is. Not the Ritz, but when you want cheap, what do you expect? We slept, there was a fridge, hot water, towels. We survived. :) It's located within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg, and that's pretty much what I wanted. No ventilation in bathroom makes for a very steamy shower (and very quiet bowel relieving process, if you get my drift.) The sink was sorta falling off the wall. Ordered a king bed, got two queens. (Not end of the world, just use one for recreation and one for sleeping!)
Price was right Rooms smelled musty and old
The location was phenomenal. Walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg was great., There were crumbs and sticky food stuck in the carpet. The bed was very old and well used and without even laying on it you could see there was a big hole in the middle of it.,There were crumbs and sticky food stuck in the carpet. The bed was very old and well used
The location was within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg. The cleanliness of the room could have been better.
It had a fireplace. White stuff on the curtains, holes in curtains, not enough parking spaces, there were spaces taken up by debris and those that weren't guests. We had make our own parking space. Old mattresses and chair were in the parking lot. All I could think was, "I hope they don't plan on taking those mattresses back in."
not one thing no shower no wifi no breakfist poor help the wrost motel ever
Price was good, everything in the room worked as it should, and there was a fridge. I think there was a booger on the shower curtain, which was a little gross. The hotel is obviously dated, but for $50 I wasn't exactly expecting the Hilton.
Staff was nice, pool was enjoyable for my kids, and location was very convenient The room was rough. It had outlets that were hanging out of the wall that we could shake and cause the lights to flicker. The bathroom tub was cracked and chipped. The beds were very hard and none of my family of 4 got much sleep on them. The "breakfast area" was the size of a walk in closet with several waffle irons and toasters which made it too hot to go in, and the couple of tables they had were always full so my family never had a place to sit.
Room was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was within walking distance of where we wanted to go.
The girls at the counter we nice and helpful. The view and location was great. It was quiet. It was good for us as we were not around all day as we only slept there mostly. The pool is nice. The breakfast was boring. I bought eggs and meat and made them in the microwave every morning to give us more for day. They are renovating so I'm sure it will be nicer when it's done. The wifi was awful I had to go to the front desk area to to use it. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay it's fine but if you are hanging around then upgrade to a better place. There is no coffee maker or microwave in rooms only a fridge.
These guys just recovered from a natural disaster. The city had just burned down a month before our stay, and all things concidered they had done a bang up job getting things back to order. Only thing that got over looked was a problem with the cable box.
It was close to town. The beds were very uncomfortable, bathroom was in bad shape, plugs didn't work and the room had a bad oder.
We liked the location. It was within walking distance to almost everything. Loved to restaurant and the outdoor eating by the river. Service was poor but the atmosphere was worth it. Room was clean and spacious. Great view of the mountains. I would return again even though the pool was a disappointment. The pool was so dirty that we couldn't even swim in it. My granddaughter threw a swim stick in and we couldn't even find it. At night when the pool lights were shining, you could see bits of white floating all over.
This place is right next to the aquarium and right in town in Gatlinburg so it's an easy walk to everything. You do get a fairly good view either of the water or an overview of the city. The rooms are a bit outdated. My coffee wasn't replenished everyday
Location was good ,priced ok, Breakfast plain oatmeal ,zero fruit, worst I have seen ,usually have eggs and more choices
Convenience to downtown attractions Great Views Price too high for a hotel with only 1 functional pool, old dirty rooms, no breakfast options.
Easily walkable to downtown Gatlinburg and the mountain views were incredible. Didn't spend much time in the room so these pluses made up for the hotels short comings. The furniture was old. The carpet should be replaced. The stains on the chairs were unsettling. The entire bathroom needed refurbished 15 years ago. How is it possible that in 2016 there was a tube TV in my room?
We needed extra linen for my mother-in-law. She caked to the front desk for some and am employee arrived with some within 5 minutes of her hanging up. Check-in isn't until 4 and check out is at 10. I have checked into a lot of hotels before and they've been busy at times, but the wait to check in here was unbelievable. I think it took about 15-20 minutes to finally get to the desk and walk out with keys. We had the pleasure of leaving just before 10 and noticed the housekeeping didn't have any new linen on their carts. Maybe there is a separate one that comes through but we were under the assumption that the sheets aren't changed after each stay.
The resort is pretty and is in a great location for walking to the strip on Gatlinburg. Perfect for us wanting to walk around and not have to venture too far away. For the price I couldn't complain. The room wasn't as clean as I hoped. The floor was a little sticky. We also had made reservations for two double beds but only had a single king bed when we got there. I called the front desk about it and they said they were booked, sorry about our luck basically.
Good location, nice views Rooms looking run-down, bathtub has been painted. $170 non-refundable pet charge is ridiculous for a 2 night stay.
Location is great, just a block away from the strip. Walking distance to everything. Sheets and towels were clean. Extremely outdated. I'm sure this hotel was very nice in 1980 but not much has changed since then. TV is the only update. Place looks dirty just from years and years of use. The room smelled like a dead animal. Smell was coming from the refrigerator. We only stayed two nights so we just toughed it out. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
Nice Location Quiet Pretty view Value for the money A little dated Pillows were flat
Great place to stay for biz, fam, quiet get away or even younger groups for folks. Several buildings on property and they grouped everyone well. Kayak by far had the best rate! I usually use Booking but they weren't the lowest this time. The others didn't even have availability listed. The pool was shut down due to repairs, but it just looked temporary. Also, the Drafts sports bar on the property had weird hours and just kinda strange folks working there.
We liked that it was so close to everything because we liked to walk. we really loved the ducks but couldn't figure out what happened to the baby ducks disappearing everyday The parking garage was way to tight. We could barely squeeze in there. then on the outside parking we found a spot but someone decided to take over both spots
One of the workers doing the breakfast was extremely rude.Showed up late.
Pool didn't work
Close to smokey mountain park entrance. Balcony overlooking strip was fun. Staff was friendly. Ceiling tiles dirty and clearly had old water damage. Shower took way to long to get warm/hot. No safe available in room or the hotel at all. In desperate need of upgrade. So so breakfast options. Staff did not keep things stockrd...ie: silverware, bowls, creamer.
The location was really great, if you were coming from the GSNP take the bypass and you were there. If your coming from PF, it's right as you come into town; very convenient to everything. The trolley stops there, so you don't have to drive into Gatlinburg. The rooms we clean and the whole staff was first rate. They actually had the best continental breakfast I've ever had, PLENTY of variety. Our daughter made a lot of new friends at the pool/slide. The only thing that I didn't like was that the elevator made some popping noises. I'm not used to an elevator making any noises at all. We took the stairs, mostly out convenience and the fact that the elevator took forever.
Check in was delayed due to rooms not being cleaned. Staff was not friendly and didn't make us feel welcomed.
Brookside Resort has a good location but that is about the extent of what I consider a recommendation. The room was very dated....the sheets were dirty and the bathroom is dark. Requested clean sheets which were delivered promptly. The stream behind the hotel was awesome. This could be a really nice place but it will take a large sum of money for this to happen.
The room was nice, the bed comfortable, clean room, quiet. Trolley stop in front of motel, had good breakfast room and nice amenities. The only problem we had was the microwave, there was something wrong with it and it would burn up anything you put in it in just a few seconds. I reported it to the staff and they said they would take care of it quickly. Had a great stay.
I really like that the fact the room had a fire place, room was clean, and it's mins drive from gatlenburg. I didn't like that when I walked in. The room was 20 degrees. It took quite a while to warm up. But it finally did and I was comfortable. Would stay again.
The Staff was excellent. The rooms were very clean and accommodating. It was peaceful to walk out the back door of our room to the balcony to listen to the stream. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful, the variety of items will fill even the hungriest of appetites. They have lots of amenities at their resort. I would recommend this resort to everyone.. I wouldn't have anything that is negative about this resort.
The staff was terrific. Thank you for an AWESOME weekend.
The room was clean and service was good. The breakfast could have been better and the wifi did not work.
Crystal at the front desk was so nice. The room was so spacious and was much nicer than anything we could have expected. This place definitely deserves a higher rating than is shown here.
hat I liked about brookside was the location. It was right across the street from flapjacks and walking distance from the strip! Great location without being too congested. I liked the rolling creek right outside of back door it was very nice. I liked that they had free breakfast although it was very basic and minimal, the oatmeal was very dry. Staff was nice, not too friendly at times. I walked in to check out and the front desk guy just ignored me and sat on his phone until I was helped by someone else. They also charged my credit card twice but did refund it immediately. I did not like that fact that on their website it has a lot of false advertisment. They said they had high speed Wi-fi, it was so slow and wouldn't load anything we had to disconnect and use data. They also said that they have a state of the arch fitness center.. Far from it. It literally had nothing and was very old and run down. The room needed renovations and mens toilet didn't work. The bench press didn't even have a bar!? Overall it was a quick stay so for 3 days what they offered was enough. Although I think next time we will find something nicer and cleaner and more up to date. Overall it was clean but very outdated. The room looked old and the furniture too. Found a few hairs on the sheets..The sheets would not stay on the bed either! I had to readjust them many times. There was a huge rip in the bed skirt. There were no blankets in the room just the sheets that came on the bed.. The shower head was so low that it would be great for someone who was 4 foot tall. We had to squat to shower and that's not fun for my 6' 2 boyfriend and me being 5'5. There was no DVD player so headed up if you brought DVD s. We had to go buy one to hook up. There as a mini refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker so that was nice.
The creek behind our room was wonderful! The room was quaint, very comfortable, and had everything we needed. Check in was quick and hassle free.
The hotel was ok. It was located in a perfect spot. It was close to the park and right by the Main Street through Gatlinburg. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a balcony which was nice but the view was of a parking lot. This is a good hotel if you don't plan to vacation at the hotel. We used it to sleep and spent the days at the park so it was perfect for us. Free breakfast was a plus but you got to get there early being that the dinning area is so small. I will stay here again. The room and hotel were very basic and small. dinning area is very small so getting to the breakfast area early is a must. Hotel is a bit dated also. Nothing major is wrong with any of this and I would stay here again.
I was very happy with the room I rented at the Econo Lodge Inn. The room was clean and very nice. I had no problems with anything in the room.
While this is an older hotel it was perfect for a nights stay. We were stopping in Gatlinburg for a night and we just wanted a room close to the main street. The hotel was about a block from the restaurants and shops. It was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave which was all we really needed. The bed was ok and it was quiet. Would've preferred a room with a king bed but that wasn't available. Which isn't the fault of the hotel. Parking was easy. The only thing I would say could've been a problem is that the room we were in was in a separate building from the main desk so it wasn't convenient to go to the front desk if we needed anything. Check in was fast and the gentleman working as very nice.
The location was the center of downtown Gatlinburg. Would have been a great proximity if we had stayed. The second you walk in the room, we opted for the poolside option as we were planning to spend time in the pool with our two small children, all you could smell was chlorine, not to mention the room was about 87 degrees when we first walked in. While looking around our room, we found lots of great treasures, old Broken Oreos in the carpet (carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in about a month) , the bathroom was disgusting you had to hover above the toilet, the shower curtain had something streaked down it, looked like makeup maybe?? Who knows. There was brown matter streaked on the wall I could take a guess on what it was. It looked like feces. The tv kept cutting in and out with sound and picture so that was a no go when my 3 year old asked to watch cartoons before bed. We decided to check out the beds to see what they were like since the rest of the room was absolutely disgusting. On one of the blankets there was red lipstick. And on the sheets there were big black hair. In more spot than one. So I'm guessing the sheets hadn't even been changed? Needless to say we grabbed our bags and our two small children and got the heck out of there, we didn't even stay the night. Then the whole trip was spent attempting to get our refund back as we ended up having to spend money on a different hotel for our trip. And then they tried to tell us that we had to pay for the first night even though we didn't stay. We will not be back. Waste of money and time out of our trip.
Pool was very nice Beds are very uncomfortable. Our room balcony was in the pool area and it was at least a 100°+ when you walked up to go to our room. I just believe you should know that. And the pictures looked a whole lot nicer to me.
The rooms were sizeable, the water was hot, the location is great whether you're checking out Gatlinburg's tourist district or catching the trolley to Dollywood. Although we didn't go for a swim, the indoor pool looks amazing and I'm sure it's fun regardless of the season. I did note plenty of young families enjoying it while we were there and the air doesn't overwhelm with chlorine. We arrived late at night, after 2am, and there was no one at the check in counter, only a sign saying "be back soon". After sitting in the lobby for more than half an hour whole the security guard stated at me and at his phone, a desk clerk finally arrived to check us in. Parking was limited, but they were accommodating by basically not enforcing any parking rules as long as we were not blocking someone in. They put us in a handicap room, which wasn't a problem in itself, but the bathroom door slides open and shut for ease of access and unfortunately it wasn't well oiled so we weren't able to ever fully open or close the door. I did report the problem, but don't know if it was ever fixed as we were only there 2 nights.
Upgraded room for no extra charge and the suite was quiet, comfortable and clean Pool area needs upgrade and was glad to see its in the plans for the coming year There were no towel racks in the bathroom and the water never got hot.
Location was good, just a short walk down the road and you were in downtown Gatlinburg and close to any activity you wanted to do. Staff was nice. Hotel is a little dated but overall is a nice place to stay. Pool area and hallways were hot.
The website says the hotel is 2 blocks from the strip but that is still .4 miles. It's a lot further than the website made it seem. We received an earlier morning wake up call both days that we DID NOT request. But the worst was the water temperature in the shower. It would get scalding hot with no notice. I let management know when we checked out but he didn't seem very concerned. Wouldn't stay there again.
Great location to downtown Gatlinburg, the staff were friendly and helpful It is no fault to the people that work there, but the building itself is in need of some TLC. You can tell that is what they are working on, but I couldn't help but notice
No coffee in lobby
The room was comfortable and felt roomy, the location was close to the strip and a lot of parking. There were a few things broken in the room, the walls are thin, and the pool shouldn't close so early or should have an adults only time. The children spoil the trips
Our stay was great. Our little deck had a beautiful view of the mountains covered in snow. The condo was clean and comfortable. I'm really nitpicking to find any negatives at all, so remember our overall experience was very nice. Upon checkin we stood in one line to check in, then we had to stand in another line to get our ''welcome packet'' and parking tag. The welcome packet was silly with no real content (unless you wanted to go to the casino on Thursday or check out a board game). The sign by the lady said they could do tickets to events - nope. Maybe they once did in the far past, but not now. The check in folks should have mentioned where the condo elevator was - we couldn't find it so we schlepped our bags up several flights of stairs. The neighboring room was quite noisy in an odd way. We think it was an elderly couple who were hard of hearing. They yelled at each other, but not like fighting. They yelled a normal conversation far into the night. Still remember t...
This place is wonderful!! Before going we read some reviews (all not nice) so were surprised when we arrived- Mountain Loft was everything they didn't post!!! We highly recommend ML:) No bedbugs or bad air!! It felt more like our trips to the Carabian than it did to he Mountains!!if anything was 'bad' it was the coffee we helped our selves to when we returned our keys :)
My family of five stayed here. We had a two bedroom unit. It was clean and well suited for my three young children. Only problem was a noisy neighbor. Other than that a fine stay, we will be returning next month for a long weekend.
This is a great place overall. It is one of the nicer places in town, not on the main strip. Nice layout of rooms with seperate bedroom, full kitchen, den, and nice size bath. However, it was very frustrating trying to sleep listening to your neighbors conversations. A little more ''soundproofing'' and this place would be great. No continental breakfast either.
Very nice. Pool, hot tub and front desk were down in a seperate building from the condo style rooms but this was not too inconvenient. View out front and back windows were nice. Over all very cozy, very nice.
If you are looking for a quiet get away there is no better place to be in Gatlinburg than the Mountain Loft.
My husband and I took a week traveling and loved this place. The grounds were very nice and we enjoyed the hot tub every night. The room was decorated nicely and the complex quiet, although there were many families staying there. It is very close to Ober Gatlinburg and the downtown area as well as restaurants. View from our balcony was terrific. Staff very attentive even though they were very busy that time of year.
We hd a loft room is the best way I can discribe it. Bedroom was on the parking-lot side of the building. Poor choice for a bed room. Should have designed it on the rear side of building overlooking the flora and fauna. You can hear everyone coming and going. Bed to hard. But I guess that's my fault I should have stayed with the Hampton Inns. Room very small and awkward. I'd choose a cabin next time.
This is an excellent resort. Will use it again. The room was beautiful and the staff at the resort were friendly and welcoming!
nice area. Om hill top about a mile from downtown. Very clean nice place. No sales pressure to buy Anything for me. I know they do try from other reviews.
We have stayed at this resort several times. We stay in the Deluxe Condo which accommodates us and two children fine. We have plenty of room with seperate living area and bedroom. I highly recommend this unit. The condo was very clean and update styles. Kids had plenty of room to play. The view was awesome!! Could have used some new pots and pans. The bed was tooo soft and the pillows were flat but that is the only down fall. Fireplace is just a plus. The location is excellent, not in the hussle of things kinda of out on the out skirks, yet very convient to all attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful! The security is Excellent! All and All we like staying here! You do get bugged a lot by them wanting to sell you a time share at the resort but we just don't pick up the phone. It's a GREAT family resort that will fit all your needs and they will even book your tickets for the attractions.
This hotel room did not match the pictures at all on the website. We were expecting a cabin like feel becuse the pictures showed fireplaces and quilts. The bed and bedding was horrible! There did seem to be a newer building with a great view but we were not in it.
The location was great Our balcony did not face the river at all, it faced construction that kept us up all night. The shower curtain had mold on it and there was hair from previous guests still in the bath tub. There was a dried up paper towel stuck to our ceiling and in the peep hole on the door. The locks on the doors did not feel safe. The beds were so uncomfortable that our backs still hurt from sleeping on them. The breakfast in the morning did not make it with the stay at all. It seemed like a chore to walk from our room to the road every time we left the hotel. We only paid $36 a night to stay there, but I would never ever ever pay that much to stay there again!
It was in Gatlinburg. It wasn't the building on the picture, the whole floor we were on was damp and reeked of mold and mildew and the beds were the worst I have ever slept on! I am still coughing and clearing my throat 1 day later! AVOID AT ALL COST!
staff very nice, professional, helpful, n friendly. good housekeepers. nice continental breakfast. hotel is clean. nice mattresses and pillows. have been here before and will definitely come again. the carpet had been recently cleaned in our room, must have used too much water, there was a very very musty almost moldy smell in the room. the fire alarm went off, we all evacuated, no fire dept showed up, no staff showed up, we just went back in when the alarm went off.
Decent options for breakfast. Friendly front desk. Location allows you to walk down the main strip.
Room was ok. Location was great. They turned the room right next to ours into a party room for the Elk Convention and it went 24/7. When I complained I was told "oh you booked with kayak.com, you'll have to take that up with them....". I think someone realized that mistake and tried to put me in another room but by then they showed how they felt about online customers. Plus, they don't give the premium rooms to online bookings. They told me that. You'll be facing the hill in the back with a poor view. You cannot get the nice view online. I'll never be back to that place!
The hotel was pretty clean. The location to downtown Gatlinburg was fantastic. The continental breakfast was more than the cereal and muffins that you get in other places. The staff was as helpful as they were allowed to be. The bathroom was tiny and crowded as was the room. The walls were so thin that we could hear the phone conversation of the man in the next room as well as the female that was on the other end of the phone line. The "Mountain-side View" that we were supposed to have was the employee parking lot and a steep hill with a lot of trash and debris on it. The Kayak website leads you to believe that you can get a Smoking room, but you are not allowed to even smoke on the balconies of these rooms as it is a "No Smoking on the Grounds" property.
Breakfast was delicious with many options. Staff was great and had toothpaste (which I forgot). Fantastic location. Less than a five minute walk to the aquarium and the strip is one block over with easy access. The hotel is on a very quiet street and there is a really nice sitting area down by the river. The only complaints I have are minor. The parking garage has some weird parts to it. It's clearly conformed to the mountain behind the hotel. Also the lamps between the beds didn't work, but the staff probably would have fixed it if I had let them know. Also there were plenty of other lights in the room.
You can walk to everything in gatlinburg. It's a perfect place to stay if you don't need a very romantic get away. The refrigerator made a noise all night. The heater was either burning hot or off which made it a icebox.
Staff was nice. Walking distance. Pool was under construction and the website should have told that. I chose that one because it had an indoor pool and hot tub and pause about $50 more a night since other hotels had seasonal ones that weren't open this time of year.
location to everything was good. room was clean. no coffee packs in room, shower had slow drip, balcony overlooked the roof to the pool and hot tub
