Location was excellent. Was great to be right in the national park.

Beds were not very comfortable. We were in the rooms that had not yet been renovated.

    Our room was double booked

    Inside the park.

other people entered our room in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. This was quite disconcerting and unacceptable. Apparently DNC had double booked the room. They have tried to make up for it, but it should have never happened.

    Horribly managed

    Great location.

Room wasn't ready until several hours AFTER listed check-in time because management had not staffed the cleaning crew properly. Management offered NOTHING to compensate. Food is awful and expensive ($15 for buffet that only featured powdered eggs) We wouldn't stay here again until new ownership/management.

    Great location and easy

For a hotel "in the park," it was reasonably priced and very convenient. I was also pleasantly surprised at how nice it was inside the room. It was not just "state park" basic, but definitely a step up. Breakfast was included in our rate, and it was easy.

If I had known how nice it would have been to be on the rim, I would have kept trying for a room in one of the hotels there and been willing to pay more for it too.

    Wonderful place for Nature Getaway

Great Nature. Great Park. Excellent hikes. Scenic views. Cozy rooms. Wonderful place to spend a weekend getaway from the city and office to natural wonders of the World.

Location was great. Good proximity to the visitor center and the the south rim drive.

The rooms have aesthetically been updated, but corners were cut. Poor taping job. Missed paint in our room after a towel bar was moved to a new location

    Proximity

Poor value. Basic rooms, no internet, limited to no cell service. If had known would not have booked. Stay in Tusayn for better value and amenities.

    It's the people

From check in to dinner and drinks, the staff was personable, friendly and engaging. Prime location!

Don't expect hot food in the cafe ten minutes before closing... Our fault completely, and the cauliflower was delicious.

Awesome place to celebrate a Birthday

The location is amazing. The room was lovely, spacious, quiet and in a great location close to the rim. A fabulous family destination - the weather was kind and the location beyond words.
