Too far from Sorrento
Top hotel, e-mailed them beforehand to tell them it was my wedding anniversary. They upgraded me to a superior sea view. there was champagne in the room on arrival. This hotel is 5 star in every way. little touches like robes and slippers are nice also. downsides. it is a 20 minute walk to the town square. the hotel shuttle bus does not run at convenient times for guests. there is however a local bus outside the main entrance that costs only 1 euro. no.
Outstanding views, proximity to the main Piazza in Sorrento, lush gardens, and very peaceful. No
The location was magnificent. It didn't seem like a five star hotel based on the rooms and facility. The location and service were great, but other than that - why is this five star?
Great hotel with a wonderful views wish we had more time to enjoy the facilities Too far to walk to centre hotel shuttle should go to the centre instead of half way
Great architecture. lovely and well kept parc, very friendly and professional stuff - a place to relax and enjoy!
The hotel is so beautiful, but I like more the modern style. The hotel seems to be old
The View, which is found anywhere in Sorrento as it on the side of the sea!! Also the bar and its staff were nice enough. Everything, pretty much. Especially the room service, food and room and hotel decor etc...
The nearness to the beach Not really
Location is excellent, specially in small city as Sorrento , The hotel is very nice with rich breakfast. service in the lobby, parking and breakfast is very good. The internet connection is free only in the lobby and the quality is very poor.
Very relaxing atmosphere. Hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Ammenities on premesis were fantastic.
great location to visit Sorrento,Capri,Pompei. Shopping and dining in the narrow street of historic just a short walk from hotel. Hotel staff very helpfull.Great experience.
Very pleasant hotel, centrally located, loved the use of local ceramic tiles. Slight problem with lighting: light at entrance to room malfunctioned and lamp shades were old and actually fell apart.
the location and the pleasant outdoor breakfast area the colour and pattern of the floor tiles in the room!!!!!!!!
The six days we stayed we had excellent service from the management and staff .The location is central. Can not wait to return.
great location within walking distance of the harbour and town. Lovely rooms and pool and garden area, great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. uncomfortable pillows
location to downtown ,easy walk large cement beam in the middle of the roomfrom floor to ceiling
We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel! Our room was perfect, with nice furniture and plenty of room in the closet. The hand painted tiles in the floor made it so cheerful and unique. Michelle from Reservations was extremely helpful in giving us information on how to travel from Naples by train and on how to find the hotel once that we arrived in Sorrento. Mario and Pepe at the Reception were always helpful and happy to provide us with all the necessary information to visit Capri and Sorrento. The outdoor pool is located in a very nice setting, surrounded by flowers. The same with the breakfast area. Great food. We would be very happy to come here again and stay again at this beautiful Hotel. Nothing, we loved everything there!
Great, friendly and very helpful staff, beautiful setting right in the town center. Room was very classy though quite small for us. Not much to do with kids in November.
Close to everything! Rooms are clean & small.
The hotel staff were very helpful in recommending places to visit and eat, and arranged for transportation. Their friendly attitude made it feel like home. Breakfast was great. paying for internet in the lobby - but if you bring your own laptop it's free.
The views were exceptional as were the rooms, staff was wonderful and very courteous. The only negative was the fact that the lift to the beach was not operating. It would be better to keep it going through October.
Fabulous location, wonderful views, excellent service
Ambiance of the hotel, knowledge of staff, food and wine knowledge of maitre d' in restaurant, outlook from our room and restaurant was magnificent Nothing
View and location
lovely hotel ,good position shame about some of the rude staff
The room was very good and the staff helpful at all times. The hotel has had some recent redecoration and was very attractive in the respect. Gardens were lovely as was the pool area When we visited in April there was only an a la carte menu. This was expensive so we chose to eat in the restaurants in the town instead.
It was very central. Showers were fantastic. Lovely breakfast Lift to beach closed.
The position on the clifftop with the view across to Naples were fabulous. The room was wonderful, both with regards to size and quality of furnishings - luxurious. The breakfast staff were not always helpful with our requests. The food also was not to the expected standard.
The hotel key advantage is it's excellent location in the middle of Sorento. The walls are extremely thin, and you can hear whatever is going on in the next room.
The views were amazing The bar and food prices but I suppose hotels are always expensive to eat and drink in
The Lobby and outside area is nice. The rooms smelled like moth balls. Very noisy, we changed hotels after our first night. The staff did not go out of their way to help us.
Clean, well-designed layout, excellent breakfast, very good location - short walk from train station and into town- good view from the balcony, and very helpful and gracious staff. The in-room safe required a separate key from the desk, but it still did not work.
We liked the size of the room and the sea view from our balcony. No complaints.
very nice property. we were able to walk to many things of interest.
location, value for money, views from rooftop terrace
This is a special place offering extremly good value for money although perhaps initially out of some budgets I would recommend spending the extra cash. The room was outstanding with a magnificant view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. They did not over charge for extras drinks etc. The staff are very friendly and curtious may only complaint is that I could not stay longer! I would however not recommend the hotel for young children as it is not really set up to cater for them compared to some. Nothing
The breakfast was very good, lots of variety and plenty. Some of the staff were not very welcoming and friendly.
The hotel was placed very well for Train station, bus station the town and a sea view - boats/ferries were also close by. The hotel staff were amazing and so friendly - hotel fsacilities excellent - I would strongly recomment this hotel
Close to Sorrento town centre Number of extras that needed to be paid for, i.e. wireless internet
very friendly helpful staff
An excellent location in the centre of Sorrento. The views of Vesuvius are probably the best on the Sorrentine peninsula. A quiet part of town, excellent service, friendly staff make this hotel a good choice. Honestly, nothing. It is an excellent hotel. My daughter would have liked free internet access, but apart from that nothing.
The hotel has a huge pool. Rooms were kept spotless. Good location off of main area with only a 5-10 minute walk away to everything. What made this hotel great however was the staff. From day one they were calling us by name. They were always pleasant and helpful with anything we needed. This was the first of four hotels we stayed at on our trip. I wish it was the last because then we would have saved the best for last. No other hotel's staff compared to this one.
We had a lovely time at Hotel Continental. Porters helped us with our bags, and we were upgraded free of charge to a room with a balcony looking over the bay and with a wonderful view of Vesuvius. We could easily walk to everything, and just down the road is the ferry to Capri. The pool was also huge and luxurious, I had to brush olives from an overhanging tree off the deckchairs to lie by the pool. Ahh!!! that's the life, while waiters wander around taking orders for drinks and snacks. Fantastico!
The staff at the Hotel Continental were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Even when I dropped my tweezers of the third floor balcony, the staff happily retrieved them for me! All the staff seemed to speak an infinite number of languages and the waiters in the Dining Room were friendly, polite and provided excellent customer service. There was nothing that I did not like about my stay at the Hotel Continental. it was a lovely hotel which provided excellent value for money.
We did not eat at the hotel but had room service and all items were good with generous portions ( a thing becoming increasingly rare in Italy, unfortunately The lounge area was a little tired and would greatly improve the general atmosphere and overall impression if it could be refurbished
execeptional customer service.....such a good experience!!! It's location. each night after 7pm the police close off the only street you can drive through to the hotel. To get to the hotel you'll have to pay 1 euro to get past the police.... location is only bad if you rent a car and drive.
The staff were wonderful... friendly, very helpful, kind and customer focused. The location of the hotel is fantastic - beautiful views across the bay of Naples, very little traffic noise, a small park just outside the front yet a stones through from the main town centre, shops and restaurants. The room was lovely but the bed and pillows were very hard and would be uncomfortable if you're a bit stiff and achey like me. Also the sound proofing between the rooms was not brilliant We could hear next doors' conversations and TV. The gym could be a great asset as the room layout is very good but unfortunately much of the equipment needed replacement or refurbishment and the weight bars were the wrong size for the bench press bench which is a basic error. So with no additional cost of equipment but more maintenance and more thought this could have been an excellent facility. Finally the quality of the breakfast was a bit "iffy" for the quality of hotel and this put us off trying the restaurant in the evening and we ate out all the time.
Very nicely appointed hotel, comfortable and good quality. Public square outside hotel attracts young folk until early hours of the morning. Noisy motor scooters, same all over Italy?
Perfect location and comfortable The smallest and old TV set I've seen last years. Shower was broken and very old
Fabulous hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, facilities, location and standard of accommodation were excellent. The local bars and shops offer a good choice. Nothing
the comfort of the room, the delicious breakfast, the suitability of location within Sorrento As afore mentioned, pool hours
Good Pool Area. Great Views over Sorrento. Close proximity to Sorrento town.
Fantastic view of coast and Sorrento from a spacious and elegant room.
The breakfast and the stunning views from the dining room were the higlights for us. Even the garden bedrooms were a good size and well furnished and equipped. We thought the choice available on the television packages were excellent for allowing us to relax in our room when the weather did not alow us to venture outside. The food in the restaurant in the evening was good but we felt the price precluded regular utilisiation. Also, the lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room was a source of consternation for us being big tea drinkers.
Staff, food No Gym
Location, 5 mins from town centre and convienient for all cultural attractions via local transport which is cheap. Restaurants were plenty and excellent, though a litle expensive. Surprised they had no tea/coffee making facilities in the room though the room did have a well stocked mini bar.
The location is great! A quick 5 minute walk into town. The images are very misleading. The hotel does not face front to the ocean as shown in the pictures. Also a double bed is 2 beds pushed together. The only great thing about the hotel is its location. Otherwise its just an average hotel.
The outstanding view of the bay from almost everywhere in public areas of the hotel. It is just outside the town but a walk of less than five minutes puts you on the main street. Our room (507) smelt a little damp although it appeared to be dry i.e the bedding and our clothes never felt damp. A minor issue and I would certainly use the room again.
Great views and people friendly. LOCATION excellent
good location, efficient checkin etc, very well maintained throughout The reception staff all seemed very abrupt and direct, all other staff were much more helpful, and polite
pool , bus to town , staff breakfast limited in choice
Fantastic room and views from the hotel terrace. Good location away from the town and excellent free bus service. Lovely clean hotel Entertainment only geared towards the older generation. Livelier music and bar around the pool area would have seriously improved our stay and for the other thirty somethings staying in the hotel. A less formal evening meal option by the pool restaurant would have tempted us to eat there. Lunchime options were excellent.
The room was good size with balcony and fantastic view of the sea. The front desk staff very helpful. The hotel shuttle to town and back was convenient and very much on time. The dinning room staff (we only had breakfasts there) were rude and not attentive. Every guest had the same complain.
The hotel staff was extremly attentive & helpful , the shuttle service to d/t Sorrento was punctual. The walls are quite thin & you can hear you your neighbours taking a bathq/shower
I felt the Vesuvio was busy catering to the tour group crowd. Most of which where older people. They were so busy catering to these groups of people that I think the individual hotel stayer got a little ignored. WiFi was really only accessible in the lobby but it was a 5.00 euro one time charge. The had good shuttle service down the hill to town. If you miss the bus it is at least 25 euro cab ride back. The staff was not memorable but the breakfast was okay. They serve buffet style. If you are a coffee drinker it takes a long time to get a second cup as they are busy with the guest who came with a tour group.
Nice room, fantastic view, pleasant staff and very very relaxing. Breakfast selection a bit limited for a hotel of this general high standard
great location, rooms not so good, very old fashion but staff very friendly.the pool was great. the rooms were old and just very quite .not much to do apart from pool. restaurant not that great .
Excellent pool, good size rooms, helpful staff. Breakfast was poor and exactly the same each day.
The sea view is good, though it is a fair distance from the coast. The food in the hotel is not at all good.
The views and the pool facility was very good. Poor information on the excursions, local exhibitions etc..Were misdirected to pick up point for the hotel bus so got a lift on another hotel's bus-presidente. Needs to be more bus contact with the centre of Sorrento in the late afternoon-many of us walked and the last section is dangerous-no pavement. Because of this would book again with a hotel within Sorrento.
Very good location for Sorrento town centre and the railway station. Pleasant views over the Bay of Naples.
view from balcony was super no
Excellent view and quiet. Breakfast is also good. Car park is important none
hotel staff and location
Very conveniently located to the train station and the town centre (about 5 min walk each). Stunning views over Bay of Naples. Broad range of food for breakfast. Plenty of fresh fruit. Breakfast dishes not cleared from table till after we left.
The hotel has an excellent location Hotel would benefit from a gym and a spa partiularly in times of poor weather
one of the best hotels we have ever visited.wonderful location superb view very comfortable . and charming staff.. no criticism whatever
Hotel is very beautifully decorated, all floors are marble, and has great open spaces and sitting areas to enjoy. The back of hotel (really front) is on the bluff overlooking the water and has a huge swimming pool. It was too late in the season for us to enjoy but I'm sure it would be wonderful in the summertime. Also, there are grapefruit and oranges growing on the rear grounds where you can wander and stroll through all the lovely flowers and trees. It is a wonderful location, right downtown in Sorrento within a 5 minute walk from shopping and dining. I highly recommend this hotel.
Nice location Very poor staff / very expensive given quality of room and facilities (i.e. no business center)
2nd time staying in this beautiful hotel, loved it. Very clean, staff are great and very helpful and best breakfast.
The graciousness of the manager of the hotel. Everyone tried to make you feel at home. We had no dislikes.
The Central Location to all Amenities, The fantastic view over the bay and the size of the room. The Dinner-Breakfast Room was a little Impersonal. this may have been due to the language difference or the sheer size of the catering area. The catering staff were very helpfull.
Fantastic room, amazing views and great staff, particularly the barman (pepe ) who makes perfect drinks with impeccable service. Also excellent location. No iron in room and no washing facilities but this is typical throughout Italy.
The room was beautiful. The view was fabulous. Service was excellent. The gym was quite poorly equipped.
The views are amazing, and the pool/beach areas are well maintained The staff were pleasant enough, but when I mentioned a leak in our bathroom, they sent up the extras towels I asked for to clean it up, but left me to do it.
The quality of the room was very poor, the shower was so small you could not fit in and shut the door.
The sea view is to die for, gorgeous with sun and sea, what more can one asks for? Nothing in particular.
Location Some of the staff could have been a bit more friendlier.
Very good location and fantastic view.Excellent beach facilities and service all over. No complaints
wonderful location, traditional european elegance. I would definetly stay again. front desk staff very helpful, professional showers need to be upgraded
The hotel was fine and so was the room except for the room's outlook - it was described as a 'standard room with garden view' in fact it really had no view at all, looking out over the goods entrance onto a wall. Location was a little bit out of the centre
Swimming pools and the view and the breakfast
large spaces, staff very friendly and helpful, excellent outdoor pool, wide choice for breakfast crowded for late breakfast
The location was good, the view was spectacular from the 7 floor ,the breakfast was excellent and service was great.
More informations about excursions
Clean rooms, most comfortable bed in Italy (that's saying a lot). Pool area was huge - free breakfast was great, staff was professional and very helpful, there was free parking across the street. It was also close enough to the town, but far enough that it wasn't too noisy. This has nothing to with the hotel, but there were a lot of families there. A lot of screaming kids and a lot of splashing in the pool. This hotel is not an adult experience.
The pool, the kids club, lounge bar, the food - all was very good. The room was very large and had excellent air conditioning.
It has magnificent views over the Bay of Naples towards Vesuvius and a superb pool. Great indoor pool close to the spa. Quite a walk into the historical centre of Sorrento with an irregular bus service. We found the rooms incredibly noisy - the doors to the corridors are not sufficiently well insulated to stop sound from the corridor or the lift foyer. Late night revellers and cleaners became an annoyance. The doors also banged shut loudly and door closers would definitely help. We would recommend adding an additional door to the rooms beyond the bathroom and possibly double doors to the lift foyer
Swimming pool, brekfast, staff at reception.Family room is a very good size. we saw a worm the first day and we called them and they came and sprayed a medicine.
Lovely views from the terraces, hotel was a short walk into town, bar staff very freindly and room was lovely and clean and always offereing fresh towels. Would stay here again Even though breakfast was very good, didnt like queing to get a table in the morning, and when I got up from the table someone was sitting in my seat when I cam back from the buffett.
Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. No real wardrobes in room and few drawers. Children and teenagers dominated the pool area and no staff supervision of the use of balls ans other items in the pool.
Good friendly service provided by all members of the team Not really. The location does involve a longish walk to the centre, but hotels closer will probably cost more.
Front desk staff were very helpful arranging tours for us.Morning breakfast was extensive and graciously served. The staff madeyou feel that they wanted you to enoy your Sorrento visit.
good staff the bed was too short
Location, quiet Room too small. Could not put cases on the floor
The friendly and helpful staff, also there was gluten free for breakfast.
The hotel is good but the room was very small!!! The small room
it was comfortable
staff were very helpful my husband didnt like the pillows as they were foam and uncomfortable. they couldnt be manipulated and squashed at all.
The friendly staff, cleanliness of the rooms. A bit far to walk to the main square, about 15 minutes.
The room had the best view and a wonderful balcony with lots of room. There was also plenty of space in the room and we had free wifi
Wonderful view, wonderful accommodation and service. Staff are second to none.
We really liked the location itself, we loved the room and the views were spectacular.. Did not get to use pools or lounge areas due to season but they looked wonderful. Enjoyed the breakfast and the view, the view, the view!!!!! It was all very good!
wonderful vews from the hotel on all levels, pool area ,dining room terrace etc .( Especially on the evenings they had fireworks from the marina below.) Staff accomodating and friendly.Comfortable spacious rooms. Only a small point for such a well kept hotel inside .The entrance to the hotel on sreet level is very lack lustre and uninviting no kerb appeal so to speak.
The view from the balcony was unbeatable.
Excellent view from balcony The dining area in the evening wasnt best positioned for the view of the bay. Would be better to use the other area where snacks are served in the day. Also has nicer feel
Great ocean views. Large balcony. Great location for people watching, Nice big room! Great price! Location can get crowded during the day because of the ferry service, but we found this interesting. The nights were quiet with fantastic seaviews.
Staff were very friendly, very relaxing, lovely hotel. No
The view from the balcony was fantastic and the staff were very helpful.
Situated above the beach with a wonderful view over th bay of Sorrento unto Naples with dirct view from your terrace to the Vesuv just opposite.
The hotel is really new and opened since few days. Is visible that organization must be improved. Anyway the hotel is really in the center of Sorrento. The hotel has not car parking. Anyway at only few meters there is a public car parking but the price per day is 20 euro.
The hotel is very clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and accommodated any requests we had, especially car parking facilities. Breakfast buffet was the usual but the staff and the coffee were excellent. The hotel is central to Sorrento making it easy to access all the local facilities. The only problem i had with this hotel was the pool. It was a roof top pool which meant it was very small. But this would not put me off going back again.
Staff is excellent only one key
The decoration is very modern and new. The staff nice and the breakfast very good.
Nice style, very nice position. The staff are always been kind and the service is nice. Walls are so thin you really hear anything is happening not only in the halls but in any other room.
Arrived in Sorrento for a short break with my boyfriend.Hotel in great location, less than 5 mins walk from main square, beach etc.Hotel extremely clean and fresh, rooftop solarium with great views.Breakfast had great variety and very helpful staff throughout regarding local services and amenities. Will definitely return to Sorrento and would definitely stay at Hotel Plaza again.
Great location in center of town, comfortable modern rooms, and attentive staff make the Hotel Plaza an excellent choice in Sorrento.
Very nice hotel, wonderful location, Very good breakfast and very clean. We loved everything
The location of the hotel was central to shops and restaurants. We also liked the convenience of a car park and friendly, helpful staff.
Well located, close to shops & resaurants. See-through elevator. Wide range breakfast choice, well-serviced. WiFi required re-entry of username and password when session was paused for a short time.
Excellent place to stay. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. Room was nice. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Conveniently located to main town and train. Would stay again..
Each member of staff was highly attentive. Beautiful reception rooms. Breathtaking views. Very comfortable rooms with sea views. Very good quality food. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in bedrooms. There was no iron and/or ironing board in bedrooms.
The location, with seaview, is excellent. The room was comfortable, except for the pillow which was a bit thin for my liking. Breakfast was satisfying. On the whole, the hotel had a very comfortable feeling. At such rates, Wi-Fi should be free.
We enjoyed the many views of the sea from the hotel gardens. Sorrento was more pleasurable because of this grand hotel.
The hotel is in located in a spectacular spot - built into the cliff face overlooking Naples bay and Mount Vesuvius. The only criticism was of the front desk staff, who were a little rude at times. All other staff were very helpful and friendly.
Absolutely spotless, pleasant staff, views outstanding, location brilliant, food tasty, No tea & coffee making facilities in room.
The hotel and the grounds were beautiful. It had agreat gardens and a view of Naple Bay was perfect. If you had a room on the street side it was very noisey. Also they do not start the air condition and beach acess till May.
The staff, especially Giovanni & Associates were outstanding. The maid service The ants were out of control. Before guests arrive and at least every other day, each room should be routinely sprayed for control. Also, gustes should be informed about not leaving any type of open food laying around. Bedding (sheets, pillow cases, and outer blaket if soiled) need to be changed daily without asking. Soaps and shampoo should be readily available and replenished daily.
The location and the staff
Sea view - good bfast and good staff Initial room very disappointing
the excellent and discreet service from the reception staff. The service and food we received on the platform at the beach was extremely good. The breakfast buffet was not to as a high standard as i thought it should have been for a hotel of this kind.
Proximity to marina, shops, bars, restaurants
We found the hotel staff to be exceptionally polite and helpful. Whatever the request, they were very obliging and polite with it. The location is excellent, walking distance to town centre and railway station. Very clean and comfortable There is nothing negative to say about the hotel
The hotel was well located to the centre of town and walking to almost every thing, very budjet style and was nicely cleaned staff helpful and friendly. It was not very comfortable small beds that were hard and harder pillows.
Position Poor air conditioning
Very helpful front desk staff. It was nice to have the pool.
Good location. Room was good for the price. Staff (Luigi,Angelo)were friendly and helpful Breakfast was bland buts that's standard for Europe.
the hotel staff
The staff were very helpful when we asked for a room for our last day (check out was 11.00 but we weren't leaving until 6.00) and it was organised straight away for us. The hotel is extremely central (a side alley brings you almost to the very centre and the train station is less than a 5 minute walk) yet the hotel is very peaceful and quiet. We got exactly what we requested, balcony and an amazing view. The hotel shares it's pool with the Carlton hotel, so you have to pay €6 if you want a sun lounger to ly on. They have deck chairs which are free though so it just depends if you want to ly out or just relax by the pool.
situation, friendly cheerful staff italian drains
Excellent location in Sorrento. Pool next door very convenient, quiet and relaxing each afternoon.
the nice welcome of the stuff
The service is excellent no
beautiful hotel location, misrepresented services.
The staff were very nice and kindley and helped us in everyway they could if we asked them for, and the room was lovley and very clean.
It was away from the tourist spots in Sorrento. Would highly recommend renting a car. Room was a bit victorian/old looking.
Hotel has a very nice view over the bay of Sorrento; rooms and services offered are mid standards; staff helpful Very much out of the city; there is nothing around the hotel; even to buy water you have to go down to city; hotel tried to solve this problem by shuttle services. Shuttle leaves to and from the city center three times in the morning and three times in the evening; it is free of charge and the driver is kind; however it takes 20-30 minutes and the road has a lot of curves as the hotel is up on the hill.
The staff were great and offered us a free upgrade. The hotel was fantastically located just outside Sorrento in the hills in a very quiet location The breakfast selection was not great unless you got there early
The staff is great!
Nice hotel, perfect location, splendid view, excellent and professional staff, breakfast with fresh orange juice, pancakes and spumante. If you want to feel realy comfortable, don´t hesitate to choose this hotel. Absolutely no.
The views fom our terace were spectacular, hotel staff were excellant No restaurent in hotel which would hav been nice for lunch but breakfast was great and when we asked about lunch they did offer to make sandwiches
The lady who checked us in was quite night but she was the only one. It was really dated. Apprently we booked a room with only a bath there is no option for this but even so the bath was so hideous with the covering wearing away & green cleaning product left in the sink hole, you would never use the bath. We complained to the front desk who were not pleased & said we had already been upgraded free of charge & if we wanted a better room we would have to pay, we asked if we could please leave after one night and they refused saying we would be charged even though we were extremely unhappy. The breakfast staff were unhappy in the mornings and you felt like you were an inconvenience to them, we asked to take our car out of the garage the next day and the man removing had a tantrum as it was parked in. very bad.
Very good situation! Near to all. Breakfast with sea view is very nice! Some towels are not clean. The man in reception is not very nice. But Fatima is very professinal, thanks for your info.
This is the second year running that I have stayed here at this hotel and look forward to returning next year. The staff are very pleasant and the hotel has an ideal location,10 minute stroll to the main Piazzo Tasso and 5mins to Marina Grande. The breakfast was pretty basic last year, but acceptable, this year there was a bigger selection which was a great improvement. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel as a clean welcoming place to stay in Sorrento.
Great location - easy walk to the town center. Nice sized European room very stingy with ice - unlike the 5 other European hotels we stayed at
It had a large balcony with huge doors. The room was massive. Beautiful view of Bay of Naples. Dinner was not included with our stay but it said it was on the website. Solarium was not open. The pool would have cost $9 euro to use.
Standart 3* hotel not more Water costs 3 EUR :))
Staff were fantastic, spoke fluent english and were very helpful. Location is perfect, short stroll into the main square and same distance the other way to the beach.
It was a comfrotable room with a spectacualr view of the coast
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Noisy street outside hotel. No refreshments available before 3pm daily. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Noisy plumbing!
Well located hotel close to town with a wonderful view of the sea. Comfortable spacious rooms, even the breakfast room had a brilliant view. The garden was the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks. The location of the hotel is very difficult street to navigate but once we were there the staff parked our car in the hotel carpark where it stayed for the duration of our stay. The drivers in Sorrento are slightly lunatic.
I liked everything about this hotel. The name says its a hostel but its more than a hostel. The staff are extremely helpful, the rooms were very clean and its location is excellent. I had no complaints to be honest
it is new, clean and in the city center
this hotel is very very elegant and quiet. the suite are very comfortable and nice. good
Excellent staff. Very helpful with tours to Amalfi and Capri and orientation to the city. Good access to hotel from train station via bus. Be sure to avoid the taxis. When we arrived they charged us 20E for a 5 minute ride. Just catch the local bus to the Marina Grande. On the way back up from the Marina, it stops 50 m from the hotel. No WIFI in rooms. Have to go out to lobby.
The room was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful, great location - quite. It should be noted that you will pay extra for air conditioning, use of the mini bar, use of the pool and the fitness equipment. However, that had not impact on what i thought was fantastic, value for money, accommodation.
Very cheap for the quality of the hotel . Very central and close to the historical area
The Staff, Facilities, and the location are all excellent for the price. The hotel is opulent and well appointed, the staff are friendly, knowledgable and very helpful, and from the front door it's 10 minutes to the Marina Grande or 10 minutes to the heart of Sorrento. Nothing particularly, but be aware that you will be charged extra for air conditioning, the use of the fridge and safe, and will also be charged for towel/linen changes - you get nought for nought! That said though the charges are reasonable and the Hostel is very competitively priced.
All of the staff that I dealt with were friendly, helpful and informative and I noticed that they were the same with every client every time. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful and even the machine coffee is good. I had a huge room with a spacious bathroom and would definately return. The shower screen was a little unstable but it was not a problem once I was aware of it.
Location great and staff excellent. After my sister had a fall at Ercolano they went out of their way to help. No complaints at all.
The Hostel is more like a 5 star hotel. It is impeccably clean and excellently decorated. It was a little difficult to find at first but was in reality convienently located to everything you needed and wanted to see. The spa facilities were awesome but I would advise non- Italian speakers to make sure all is understood about the services being puchased. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a stay in Sorrento and will stay here again when we hopefully return in the future.
everything inside the hotel was perfect. there was no transportation to the center of town
The stunning style and sophistication of the hotel never ceased to facinate me and I wanted to see all of the rooms. The pleasant and friendly staff. The beautiful breakfasts cooked to order made the hotel seem as if you were staying with friends. The stunning views are unforgetable and very relaxing. We look forward to going back. no
We stayed at the Minervetta in May 2007. Our first impressions were "wow - what a trendy, hip and eclectic hotel". It is very different from your normal hotel!. It is like being a visitor in somebody's home, very relaxed. During our stay the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The hotel is away from all the hustle and bustle of Sorrento town and yet is only a five minute walk away. Breakfast was very relaxed affair and there was plenty of things to choose from. For anybody who is a real foodie and likes good food, I would highly recommend a restaurant locally called Caruso which also has a wonderfully cosy atmosphere and fantastic service.
The maison was very welcoming and accommodating. The room decor was outstanding. Each room perfectly prepared, and in excellent condition. The lobby feels like home. The view incredible. It is a "10" in my book. The only thing I missed was availability of an iron/ironing board for a quick wardrobe touch-up on arrival.
Everything! Fantastic views, the hotel was beautifully decorated, modern, contemporary and spotlessly clean. By far the nicest place we've ever stayed!....did I mention the fantastic views!?!! The hotel was fantastic in every way, but it is worth noting there is no restaurant or bar, so if you want a meal or drink close to home you do have to go in to the town. Not a problem though....it's only 10 minutes walk away!
The incredible endless seaview from our room. The beautifully presented breakfast buffet at the terrace.
This was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed. Felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Breakfast a treat , staff helpful. Shame about he cost of looting on to wifi. It could have been free as is our hotel in Rome.
1.Breakfast, 2.View, 3.Room (fashionable and clean). I would stay here again if I wll come back to Sorrento. 1.Distance from the city center.
Magic hotel! The view from the terace during breakfast on a sunny morning....you will expirience heaven without having to die first... nothing at all
Wonderful location and view, fabulous breakfast, helpful staff. Charge made for internet connection, free in most hotels.
