Cons: All houses are very close to another - so all night you can hear neighbors chatting. Resort is surrounded by gecko lizards and they make very lound noises all night long. For nature lovers - it is a plus.

Cons: This was my fourth time at sarikantang in five years, and every time the hotel looks a little worse. They are not maintaining the exterior surfaces of the buildings at all, and many of the bungalows just look dirty.
Staff attention is also lacking. I reported that the electric kettle in my room was not working one morning, reminded them the next day, and when I checked out nothing had been done.

They gave us a New Year’s Eve buffet and 2 drinks each for free, the food was some of the best I’ve had In Thailand. Great choice for breakfast. The room was lovely and clean and had a mosquito repellent candle lit each day for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even gave us a palita lodge T-shirt as a souvenir. Would definitely stay again :)

Cons: The room was very basic. The fan in the bathroom let in a lot of geckos, we had 4 in our room at one stage we couldn't get out. Your not paying for the accommodation in my opinion your paying for the private beach and location. The breakfast was fantastic, but to buy lunch and dinner was very over priced with poor quality. The price of cocktails and iced coffee was also over priced even during happy hour.

They can also book the ferry ticket to Koh Samui for you for the same price as you would pay directly at the pier plus they drive you there! - You can rent a scooter with them so it made it really easy to just wake up, take the scooter and go explore the island. - The views from our room were just outstanding. We were facing the ocean so we woke up every morning with the perfect views and the sound of the waves (and some crazy birds chirping quite loud but it was fine)... Also sunsets were a plus! - The room looks a little bit old but it worked for us as the bed was really comfy and the AC worked perfectly! - Bathroom was also good: big enough, clean nice amenities and the best part: really nice Hot water!! - Internet worked really good for our surprise and we could just enjoy Netflix no need for a TV. - The salt water pool was clean but too bad we had bad weather so it was really cold! - Breakfast was one of the bests we had in South East Asia so far... You can have fresh eggs, pancakes, fruits, salads, toasts, and even some more asian dishes like noodles (if you feel like eating noodles or fried rice at 8am) - The Hotel is located on the top of a hill but it's like 5 or 10 min. to the main road of Haad Rin where most of the restaurants are.

Pros: We have chosen this hotel for an exceptional occasion. From first day, the staff was incredibly kind and kind. We enjoyed the stay from the morning sunrise to the evening sunset. Thank you all to care for the garden, clean the rooms, cooks for a delicious breakfast, great ladies from reception for willingness to help in everything. Cons: The room is authentic, but very old. We lived in Superior room (it was upgraded for free) in the main building. Unfortunately, the were some cracks between walls and roof, so 3 geckos lived in it and came out at night, it was a big trouble. The towels smell fresh but are strange, sticky by touch.

Cons: It's not the Hotel's fault and that is why we gave it a 10 but if we would come again to Koh Phangan I think we wouldn't stay in Haad Rin as the area is kinda "poor" when it's not full moon party. It looks like typical touristic area with western restaurants and same price as in Europe (although we loved the italian restaurant called MonnaLisa). Also to get to the North side of the Island where the best beaches are you'll need to cross the massive hills which for me driving a scooter didn't feel comfy at all... Although we didn't like that much the location, we did loved the Hotel and we would come back just to relax on the pool, read a book and watch sunsets from the balcony. If you are planning to explore more the island I would recomend to drive carefully if you rent a scooter or just take a private car to the beaches :)

Cons: the day before we left we left one of the towels by the pool which one of the staff took care of. this resulted in them seizing the entire deposit ... sad ending to an otherwise good stay

Cons: this hotel is relatively expensive but the facilities are no longer what they used to be. There used to be TV, kettle with coffee and sugar and a mini bar . today you have to ask for things ( well, TV is no longer available , for me its not important ) and normally you will get them ( well, no coffee but i did get the kettle) it seems like its improving since my last stays there :-)
