Mt Koya (Koyasan), located about 1hr 45 min. by rail and cable car from Namba, Osaka, has about 120 temples in precincts covering 99. 6 ha. Surrounded by magnificent trees and nature, the temple's newest building for guests was completed in 1990. Facilities are very similar to a ryokan. 90 min. by drive from Kansai Airport
