9.6 Excellent
Cons: I liked the place a lot, everything is perfectly amazing !!! one thing I would like to suggest is the English communication can be improved, thank you
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Love the surrounding and private Onsen, this is definitely the plus point. Beautiful scenery from the room window. Room is quite stuffy and we hv to open the windows the whole night (average temp is 1 Celsius).
Cons: This is not walk in hotel. We booked months ahead and the hotel should have at least prepared an English Menu about the dinner and breakfast. Quality of the dinner is disappointing.
7.0 Good
Pros: wonderful location with incredible views very comfortable, large room with everything you need great bathroom with private onsen
Cons: Breakfast was very modest and not comparable to other hotels in Japan: no buffet, only choice between japanese or western breakfast (and the order did not work correctly) Staff was very reserved, less helpful and present compared to other hotels in Japan

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Buffet meals amazing choices of cuisine. Location on lake and amidst the Ainu village and ventures. Lucky enough to have a luxury room. Friends enjoyed the spa/Onsen. Visited at the beginning of autumn and viewed the magnificent autumn leaves.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food
7.9 Good
Pros: Onsen facility at the roof floor is amazing, definitely worth a try.
Cons: The decoration and setting in the room are definitely old, though the outlook of the room is refurbished, this doesn't change what it is, an 80s Onsen hotel of Japan.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: From the rooftop pool one cannot see the lake, since the glass-like fence was too dirty and not transparent any more. Bad smell inside the cold room inside the spa.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooftop Onsen with views of lake Akan. Excellent breakfast and dinner for buffet
7.0 Good
Pros: in general, the hotel is in good condition
Cons: The view of inside and outside onsen on 8/F. (top floor) not as good as expected. The view of the lake alan and mountains was blocked by the glass wall only because the glasses are very dirty at outside. The onsen on B1/F. is good.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The dinner and breakfast selection was vast. All staff were friendly. The 2 onsen areas are extensive and lovely, especially the one on the lower level. Our room was larger than most in japan -a mini suite really. “Beds” (on the floor) were made up for us while at dinner. Your car is parked for you. The view is fantastic from the restaurant and it’s a great location for exploring. Lots of lovely gift shops in town.
Cons: Nobody spoke more than a couple of words of English and we were the only non Asian guests out of hundreds -this wasn’t an issue for us but if we’d had a problem I think we would have struggled to communicate it. The hotel is already expensive. I don’t think parking should be an extra cost.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were exceptional. We had the buffet breakfast and dinner - excellent selection at both. Onsen was fantastic. Location great for walks around the lake and local hiking. Would highly recommend overall. Our wing had a foot spa which was a nice treat after a days hike.
Cons: We stayed in the Rera wing. Bed was a little uncomfortable.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was very comfortable; the room was well equipped with a gorgeous outlook over the river. The staff were very polite and welcoming. There was a choice of breakfast (Japanese or Western) - both were fabulous! Parking onsite was convenient. Short walk across the river to great restaurants. Walking along the river front at sunset was a highlight.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: enjoy guest lounge very much
Cons: nothing
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Very disappointing experience. This was supposed to be a four star hotel. I would give it 1. We had booked “half board” but when we went down to dinner we were shepherded (along with another 500 people) past the back of the kitchens to a dimly lit massive hall. Here we had to take off our shoes and walk barefoot into the cavernous restaurant. We were shown to a table at the far end of the room where we would have faced the wall. We couldn’t deal with eating a buffet in bare feet facing the wall. Absolutely appalling. Eventually after protesting, we were allowed to go to another restaurant where Japanese guests were having dinner. Without going into any more details I hope anyone who has considered staying at this hotel gets the picture and stays somewhere else. We couldn’t wait to leave, without breakfast. One of the worst experiences ever.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The king size bed was just right for 2 person to sleep comfortably. Room was big enough with a sitting area & a writing table. Could not have asked for more for ¥9,236 per nite for double occupancy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely good breakfast. Pleasant lounge area with access to complimentary drinks. Staff very helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff were very friendly and the room and bathroom were very large by Japanese standards. Overall great value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything from the free flow of juice, the red wine, the curry rice and the choice of shampoo and pillows. And the room is huge!!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, bedding, cleanliness is good. They got the most amazing breakfast in my whole trip. Using a lots of local high end ingredients, very appreciate to see that as a chef myself. The common lodge is good too, got free flow coffee, juice, detox water and red wine during certain period.
Cons: It’s funny that they don’t have air-conditional during my stay as I have already ring the reception to confirm and they told me only heater available so I have to open my window the whole night that cause noises... I guess it’s the japan culture that hotel don’t operate air-con during autumn winter season.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hot spring and view
Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: Indoor and outdoor onsen
Cons: One of the check-in staff failed to live up to the Japanese service standard. It's a shame that he is the service industry which has a very high standard throughout Japan.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel provides free yummy ramen for supper.
Cons: The carpark space is limited and we have to park elsewhere.
7.0 Good
Pros: In general condition, the hotel is good.
Cons: the ouside onsen on top floor is too too small, only 3 persons may sit in, and the view of the river is blocked by dry and high straw in front of the glass, you have to stand up and go near the straw to see the river view but it is freezeing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Short walk to the train station, amazing restaurants, and fun things to see around the area. The onsen was BEAUTIFUL and so clean and THAT VIEW! definitely recommended staying here when in Kushiro!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. Location with nice lakeview but a pity we couldn't get the window seats for breakfast. Wide selection of food.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Onsen are nice, the view of the lake is calming.
Cons: The facilities shown age, the coffee table in the room was poorly repaired and even had a scratched fabric of a cushion in room hanging in the corner of it. There was a mirror placed inside the shower room, which was not practical to be used, and there was much water stain on it. The concierge service at the hotel was fairly sub-par, no one assisted to bell the luggage on arrival.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is amazing, the lake view from the room is absolutely stunning and the room itself is beautiful and welcoming. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and nice (with very good English), they had a lot of information about the activities around the lake, and you can buy tickets at the front desk (for example for the Ainu theater), the hotel is in a great location really close to the pier for the lake cruise, and the Ainu kotan, a Lawson is in front of the hotel. The onsen bath was great, and in general the hotel was very clean. As for the food, I'm drooling just by reminiscing about it, both the dinner and breakfast buffet were superb, top quality food with huge selection, Japanese and western.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The buffet breakfast and dinner is very good with wide variety for both Japanese and Western.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Picturesque location. Excellent onsen either in Wings or sister hotel next door. Great dinner buffet. Lovely staff all with a ready smile. Lake view room was spacious & very comfy. Really liked the decor, sculptures & artwork throughout the hotel. Valet parking was helpful. Stylish & interesting place to stay.
Cons: Small bathroom but onsen was so good we bathed & showered there.

Pros: good view of the lake from the room. although it was raining. we could sit in the room.
Cons: very old look in the room. had issue in bathroom. Pros: Good view of Lake Akan. Eay to acces to the boat deck and nature trials.
Cons: First, I got assigned to a smoking room by default. Breakfast could be more selections.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Quite dated facilities in some parts, but the rooms were clean and tidy, wifi and location good and food nice!
Cons: Very small bathrooms and quite dated.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff was very friendly and courteous although English limited. The hotel is in a good location, next to Lake Akan and the ferry pier.
Cons: Hotel rooms could deserve a severe modernization. The food buffet, though with a lot of choice, was presenting the same food over the 3 days we stayed here. Example: same spaghetti with clams and same deserts. Surely the chef must know other recipes. When items ran out in the buffet, it took some time to be replaced, and some items were not replaced at all, even more obvious in the second seating as from 19h30. Overall the price is pretty high for the quality of the establishment, although there was nothing specifically wrong with it. I guess it is the location surcharge.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Overlooked the ferry terminal. Great to see the ferries cruising the lake

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect, right across the street from the train station and the bus station. The hotel also had an Onsen and a washing machine and a dryer in the basement that you could make use of. The breakfast was basic, but was fine. Would definitely stay here again!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent helpful staff, friendly but professional and efficient..made efforts to communicate in English which is appreciated; responsive to individual guest requirements. Public bath available and very relaxing with good security. Massage chairs in Rest Area. Location opposite Kushiro Station.
Cons: Unlike other RouteInns, this one doesn't operate a cleaning/amenities eco-policy. This meant that although no fresh amenities/roomwear/towels etc were requested, each day more were provided unnecessarily which seems wasteful and I didn't use. Security would be improved if room cards didn't have room number printed on them. Mattress overfirm, a thicker topper would help, I used a blanket fortunately provided.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms are too small
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location, clean room and plenty of English signage (that is written correctly and properly translated)
Cons: Outdated design of the room.

Cons: Rooms a bit too small.
7.1 Good

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.7 Good
Pros: The inside onsen is convenient and the view from the window was nice. Beds were very comfortable.
Cons: It was noisy at night (due to other guests and the nearby night show). Very difficult to explain to hotel staff my questions as they don’t speak English. I asked to eat a paid dinner at the hotel as it was pouring with rain outside and was refused. The hotel restaurant was open and they told me it was closed. When I asked about recommended restaurant the representative gave me a map with a “fuck off” attitude. I did not feel welcome at all due to this event.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed in a Japanese style room, which was quite spacious. It felt quiet despite there staying bus groups as well. There was plenty to choose from for breakfast. At checkin I was asked to choose a time slot for breakfast between 6.30 and 8 am, it never felt crowded. Was a bit surprised to give up my car keys after parking but that’s just so they can move cars around when needed.
7.5 Good
Pros: The surrounding was very serene. The unspoilt forest was just next to the hotel. Took a walk into the forest and chanced upon a group of deers grazing around. Beautiful experience for me. There was also a foot bath nearby the hotel - really relaxing for our tired feet! Plenty of souvenir shops right next to the hotel. When we checked out of the hotel, the staff gave us some local biscuits to take along. There were also free flow of coffee and ice cream at the lounge. Arigatogozaimashita!

Cons: a little bit expensive
4.6 Okay
Pros: Good central location on the lake
Cons: Room was very tired and rundown, badly needing a makeover. Property is set up to serve big group tourists and not interested in individual travellers. No Wi-Fi in the room, only in the ground floor common areas, staff not at all caring about this
7.1 Good
Pros: Free coffee, tea, soft cream 24/7 and even welcoming dessert when checked in. The location: by the Lake, within the main attraction area, things are located in walking distance!
Cons: Staff is not service oriented, no smiling, no offering info for tourist's unless asking. Assigned me a washitsu that didn't know until I open the door. I prefer a yoshitsu due to knee problems.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room I received was very big by Japanese hotel standards, and the view of the edge of the lake and forest was perfect. Staff were pleasant, breakfast buffet plentiful. In a town this small there are no bad locations.
Cons: Smokers!! It flows through the air ducts particularly in the bathroom. First thing in the morning and again after dinner the room begin to smell like an ashtray. Nothing the staff can do, it’s the building design and permissive smoking policies.

7.0 Good
