The bridge hotel is the latest addition to a successive series of many establishments. The history goes back to the 12th century, where it was home to a storehouse for stone & timber. In the 16th century it was used as a granary for corn storage against times of public shortages, and later the official residence of the two governors responsible for the maintenance of the bridge, namely Bridge House.
I liked the easy access to the underground and it really wasn't even a far walk from the London Bridge, but again...wasn't what I expected...
I had booked a room with a double bed and a twin bed but the room we got had three twin beds. When I brought this up to the staff, there was nothing they could do because they were fully booked. I didn't appreciate that. The "private" bathroom was in the hallway with a sign on it asking other guests to not use that one. All in all, had I known all of this going in, I would've booked somewhere else.
The staff were lovely. I arrived and had a room on the 3rd floor, I couldn't face the stairs at the time, and the staff found a room on the ground floor for me (upgraded me for free). The room was warm, clean and comfortable. Location is really central.
Nothing this place is good value for money with lovely staff.
The staff were all very friendly, and the hotel was immaculate. Also, the free wifi was fantastic for me!
Everything needed was there, coffee/ tea and fresh fruit included (without charge!)
Furniture was really basic.
Friendly staff, very comfy bed, good location
The staff were very welcoming and it was an extremely convenient location for our visit. Some very interesting decorative features.
The room was rather small, curtains would not pull across properly-breakfast not very good.
1.The place was in Zone 1, about 1km from center and 0,5km from Tube. 2.Bed was OK, freezer in the room, coffee, tee and fruits (for free) in the room 3.Breakfest included in the price
1.If you go out and come back late, hotel door is closed. You need to call a phone and You can hear, that it rings in reception, but no-one picks it up. After ~20 sec there starts an answering machine that I didn't listen. After 20 min of waiting and more than 10 calls I started to listen for this machine and it said, that call will be diverted, hold the line... After then it was diverted to hotel manager, who come down from one of the rooms... The phone must be diverted immediately, not after half a minute! 2.Rooms was small. Super small! Smallest rooms I ever seen! 3.Hotel staff didn't know, what is boiled egg! Asked for it - they gave scramble 4.Every night there was the loud music and people at the house near hotel
i didnt like anythink about the stay in the hotel
i didnt like the size of the room, the remote controls didnt work properly, the bed was small, creaky and uncomfortable, you couldnt open the wardrobe as the room was that small the bed was pushed right up to it, the decor was rubbish, the bedding was rubbish, it was the worst hotel and experience i have ever had, the hotel looked as if it was borded up, the resturant was closed, so we had to use another which was the only good service i had.
location, world TV, breakfast
breakfast was poor
Staff provided an early breakfast outside normal hours. Most helpful
