10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big well appointed room, fridge and very large en suite bathroom. Host more than helpful. Great parking in ftont of hotel off road.excellent breakfast. Good supermarket with huge range of take out salads cakes and rolls beh8nd the hotel, 3 mins walk. Smart Asian restaurant next door. HOTEL is 10 mins off motorway, on road that goes quiet by about 11pm..
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very professional and kind. The rooms are clean
Cons: I find the one person beds to be generally small. The breakfast is good but not spectacular compared to the very high standards and choice one finds in Germany. Still however value for money, relative to the price of the hotel the breakfast is very good. In the rooms i would have liked to find some shampoo (there was only liquid soap)
10.0 Excellent

Hotel Schloss Montabaur - Montabaur - Building
3
8.4 Excellent (712 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Schloss Montabaur in Montabaur, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Neo-Gothic Town Hall and Great Market Square. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really nice place: the location is beautiful in the old castle, wonderful views. The rooms are luxurious with really good beds (you can adjust your mattress just like you want). The wellness and swimming pool are excellent. The breakfast is extensive and good. Own parking places. They even provide umbrellas to go to the other buildings when it is raining. We loved the place!
Cons: We went to the bar at 10pm and we could not get something small to eat, we could only have a drink. Some cheese or patato chips had been nice.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location, the staff and the breakfast
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, clean rooms, very good breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, very friendly staff, very well thought out rooms, could even sit outside. Great breakfast with balcony overlooking the panoramic view. Hidden gem!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The beds were comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a good variety of food. Lovely views looking out over the town and countryside. The parking was secure and convenient for the rooms.
Cons: The buffet evening food was not good. The staff in the kitchen did not have their long hair tied back under a hair covering. The hair was therefore dangling into the food. The dining room was set up with long tables so one could not sit privately. There was a steep uphill walk outside to get to the restaurant from the bedrooms luckily it was good weather. I am not a fan of glass walled bathrooms which the ensuite in the bedrooms had. No bottles of water or tea and coffee making facilities were available in the bedrooms. I had booked 2 rooms and this applied to both rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dogs are welcome, superior room is great! Bed for the kid and water for the dogs were prepared upon arrival. Clean and nice layout.
7.9 Good
Pros: The breakfast and its location close to the old city by foot
Cons: I had stayed in this hotel in the past in the “house of Koblenz” which was exceptional. I wrongly assumed that all other buildings would be of same standard. I was very wrong and the house no8 i stayed in was a little room same or below even the standards of an ibis type of hotel. old and cheap construction, much in contrast with the overall atmosfere of the castel. I was quite dissapointed. Beware when you book via an agent the lowest priced room, you will get the worse standard...Also i must add that the restaurant was also dissapointing: it was a buffet style to start with (which is already a negative sign from the outset) and the quality of the dishes were entry level at best. I had again imagined that the restaurany would serve a la carte a nice dinner of a level corresponding to the whole castle atmosfere. I was very wrong, i will not imagine or assume so much next time !
Freimuhle Hotel-Restaurant - Görgeshausen - Meeting room
4
8.4 Excellent (442 reviews)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very kind. The rooms are large and comfortable. The restaurant and breakfast are ok (nothing great though). The hotel is in the forest which is nice. It is good value for money and i will probably stay there again
Cons: You get there only by car or taxi, no public transport. There is nothing in the surroundings but nature. The quality of food could be upgraded, it is good but basic, nothing exciting
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great.
Cons: Internet is slow and with a limit of only 1000mb not really appropriate for 2019.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: An old mill converted and extended into a splendidly traditional hotel and restaurant. We enjoyed our comfortable two-night stay, and ate in the restaurant both nights. The restaurant menu was limited, but the tapas in which the chef specialises are highly recommended. The environment is totally rural, situated down a track, with pleasant gardens. It also serves as an event location for the local community.
Cons: I would have rated the hotel as excellent all round had it not failed to provide a good breakfast service on our last morning. We didn’t see the waitress on duty for at least twenty minutes despite there being a room full of guests. When we arrived orange juice had run out, scrambled egg had run out, places had not been cleared and coffee had not been offered. I went in search of staff, as did another guest shortly after. Such a shame, as the breakfast provision was excellent.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location although away from other facilities; this didn't matter as they were able to meet all our needs for an overnight stop. Staff very professional and pleasant.
Cons: Room facilities were good, but the lighting switches were complicated to work out and our Mother (86 and disabled) was unable to work the lights. A simple explanation, in the room or from the staff, would have been much better.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice countryside, big, clean and calm room, tasty breakfast
Cons: -
7.9 Good
Pros: Both good
Cons: Understanding of our dinner order. Very little English spoken. When it came, it was good however.
Overview Reviews
Situated in Girod, this hotel is 3.3 mi (5.4 km) from Katholische Kirche St. Petrus und Marcellinus and 5.2 mi (8.4 km) from Great Market Square. Limburg Cathedral and Dreifelder Weiher are also within 20 mi (32 km).
7.9 Good
Pros: We just stopped by for a nigth. It was what we expected, A nice little hotel in the forest.
Cons: Everything was ok fot the price.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The place is clean. Location is nice. Near the motorway. Breakfast ok.
Cons: Restaurant food was just awful. The worst plate of food I had anywhere in Germany ever. My salmon fillet wad cooked to rock hard, the vegetables had been frozen ones and were totally tasteless. The sauce was vomit inducing. Just awful. The staff didn't speak English and the decor is just bizarre. A country place promoting fishing, hunting, walking and cycling and the decor is like from the 50s. cheap , tacky and unpleasant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beds were comfort, sheets fresh, crisp and clean and quite. Internet was good, as well as breakfast.
Cons: n/a
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I very much enjoyed the rural, wooded atmosphere. Easily accessible, but remote. Charming and relaxing place to stay - greatly preferable from a big chain hotel and at a value price!
8.3 Excellent
Cons: the personnel did not speak any foreign languages
8.0 Excellent
Pros: If you like being outdoors in the countryside you will love this hotel. We broke our Journey from Italy to the U.K. for one night and so wished we could have stayed longer as it was a very beautiful location, - even in the rain!
Cons: The weather! As usual the portions of food are large in Germany so start with a main course and go from there. If your main course comes with a salad, may come out for you to start eating before you get the rest of your meal, I advise you only eat half so that you can eat the rest of your meal.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location in the forest, child friendly

Cons: All good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, welcoming staff. Easy to find and easy to park.
Cons: Lingering cigarette smoke smell.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: location - easy access from the A3, Lidl round the corner (restaurant was closed)
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was convenient for the Autobahn, car parking was available.
Cons: After a long and tiring journey we just wanted a reviving cup of tea. There was a kettle...….but there were no cups, no saucers, no spoons, no tea bags, no milk.....but there was a kettle ! ! There were even no glasses for a drink of water. On booking we had initially asked if we could have dinner and been assured that we could. On arrival we were told the restaurant would not be open but we could walk into the village and go to a restaurant there. My wife found the room cold and likened it to a cellar. Breakfast fell short of the standards we had previously experienced on our tour. A kettle with no cups is no more than an ornament.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a perfect location for us for a stopover to rest overnight before we continue our long drive. We had a very good sleep and rested well.
Hotel Schlemmer - Montabaur - Bedroom
7
8.2 Excellent (1,106 reviews)
5.0 Okay
Pros: Rooms were good. Staff at the desk were great.
Cons: The staff at the breakfast could be more attentive as the warm food was over 2 hrs ahead of buffet closing time. Didn't bother to fill it even after requesting and I ended up eating bread and butter.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, great location, not a long drive from highway and yet in a small historic town.

5.0 Okay
Pros: I like the hotel just because the restaurant is attached to the hotel.
Cons: Worst WIFI network connectivity I ever see in Europe.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was nice and clean, perfect location by motorway. We stopped there for overnight, good choice if you want to pause your long drive. You get 20% off of breakfast or food from shop.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is great for motorway and dog walking. Lovely area behind hotel to walk our dog. Very big room. Very clean although basic. Food available in services is excellent and can be taken to room.
Cons: Unfortunately our room smelt of cannabis when we first arrived. Luckily the windows opened wide so we could ventilate.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The parking is a quiety place.
Cons: I made the reservation by booking and after 3 hours, when I arrived at the hotel the woman at the reception told me that there are no free rooms and that in fact her colleagues did not update the booking. I slept in the hotel parking lot, in my personal car.
8.0 Excellent
