I think staff should be trained like a five star hotel
You have more burden of work and you have less staff
I call four times to reception to change my weight machine which was not working it takes 45 minutes . Staff is not trained and organised like five star hotels have
Distance from the elevator
The inside view and and space.
The tropical lagoon and restaurants are of high quality. Especially Marbuk - the staff and food was exceptional. The staff on the main were always at hand to help - especially the dining staff and concierge service.
WiFi was very poor. I booked a superior room but was given a standard room. The shower hurt when showering and only having asked twice did it get repaired - the same with a flickering light. The rooms are in desperate need of upgrading for a 5 star hotel. The bathroom would flood when showering. Advertisements for universities and schools in the room - felt very commercial. Beds were uncomfortable. Pool was below standard and poor for level of hotel. Took 4 hours for an extra bed to be delivered despite asking three times. The front office staff were not interested in improving the stay. Usually stay a little further into Mumbai and chose this hotel for its convenience this time - it is definitely not 5 star accommodation for all rooms. Unfortunately I would not stay again, though I would definitely dine there.
Sahara Star is ideally located near the Unversity of Mumbai. This futuristic looking luxury hotel has a lot to offer guests including five on-site restaurants, a full-service spa, and an expansive outdoor pool. Guests can also make use of other amenities including the health club, business center, and shuttle to the nearby airport. The front desk is staffed 24-hours per day, and there is a safe available for storing valuables. The hotel also offers free WiFi and a complimentary parking area.
There are 354 guestrooms available for booking, and each is equipped with air conditioning to maintain comfort. The housekeeping staff stops by daily to keep things tidy and well stocked. There are cribs available for those traveling with infants, and each room has an attached private bathroom with complimentary toiletries. There is a flat-screen television located in each room.
Guests enjoy being within walking distance of many area attractions. For instance, the University of Mumbai is just a 25-minute walk from the property, and the Bandra Kurla Complex can also be reached on foot. The Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre and the Mt. Mary Church are less than five miles away, and the Siddhi Vinayak Temple is also nearby. Other area attractions include the Siddhi Vinayak Temple, Nehru Planetarium, and the Haji Ali Dargah. The Kanheri Caves are less than 10 miles away, as is the Mahalaxmi Temple. Guests can also reach the Sanjay Gandhi National Park with just a short nine-mile drive. The nearest airport is roughly 30 minutes from the hotel.
