La Villa 1901 - Nancy
1
9.2 Excellent (147 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at La Villa 1901 in Nancy (Haussonville-Blandan-Mon Désert-Saurupt), you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Musee de l'Ecole de Nancy and Musee des Beaux-arts. Featured amenities include a library and coffee/tea in a common area. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere, design, spacious and an excellent breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful designer boutique b&b, luxurious and stylish, fabulous breakfast. Attic room perfect for a family as extra bedroom. Really quirky, loved it.
Cons: Proximity to centre a little far, but not really a problem.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Like staying in a design house gallery; something amazing to spot at every turn. We will definitely return.
Cons: Linen and bedding luxury, but bed could have been more comfy.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Design, location, service, breakfast!
Cons: Little bit of style over function but a beautiful place
5.0 Okay
Pros: Eclectic style
Cons: Dark rooms, no space for my cosmetics in the bathrooms, cold dining room, not comfortable bed, stuff not very helpful nor polite
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was totally perfect! La villa and the interior design was really amazing. The breakfast was lovely.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Warm, friendly welcome. Extra comfy bed with scrummy linen sheets. Really interesting and arty interior, funky with a young vibe. Too cold to eat outside but for summer would be great. Francois was charming, courteous and went out of his way to please. The owner, Isabel too, was extra friendly and vibrant.
Cons: The room we had 'Scarlett' was a 2 bed suite. Charming as it was, the one toilet was located in a cupboard in main bedroom. I appreciate we Brits are more coy than the French when it comes to calls of nature but next time I would book a room that houses its loo in the bathroom. Also, for me, the breakfast was heavy on the pastries and light on the fruit. I am, admittedly, a particularly light eater but breakfasts at hotels for me are usually perfect. Could not fault the service, decor or general comfort and well worth a visit to marvel at the interior design.
7.1 Good
Pros: The host was very friendly and forthcoming and the villa has a lot of charm. The bed was very comfortable. Nancy was a great place to go out for a meal as it is very lively and has an abundance of restaurants and bars.
Cons: The location of the hotel is not ideal; it takes around twenty minutes to walk into the town and the area is not especially pleasant. The villa is decorated with a lot of taste, however it seems that form has been put over function. Our (attic) room was large, but not well designed. The ceiling in half of it is so low that one can barely walk even when bent over. The bathtub sits in the room and the shower there is awkward to use; the floor around it got completely wet even though we used the curtains. There is no window or air vent in the toilet. The seating area looks great, but is inconvenient to use.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic host who was friendly and helpful. He spoke excellent English. The Villa was charming with loads of character, gorgeous decor and modern bathrooms. Huge bedrooms, individually decorated. The beautiful garden was a wonderful place to relax in the summer evenings. Plenty of bottled water was available. Breakfasts were outstanding with the freshest ingredients beautifully presented.
Cons: Surrounding area seemed a bit run down. Attic room had excellent air conditioning, but the other room was quite hot.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was very nice and quiet. Staff very friendly. For a trip to Nancy there is a bus Station just a short walk away. French breakfast with good coffee.
Cons: Everything OK.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location away from the centre, with a beautiful park nearby where I could walk my dog. The room was large and very nicely designed. The restaurant specially prepared a vegetarian dish for me which was very good. Staff were very friendly.
Cons: The room was at the top of the house and was warm. 2 of 3 windows did not open. Luckily I had a fan.
7.5 Good
Pros: IT was more then ok
Cons: Notice the adress...the same was into the city of Nancy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great little pearl in an oasis of calm...
9.2 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very Nice garden The big room
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: It is a well appointed hotel in a good location in the suburbs overlooking the town. The staff are efficient and helpful.
Cons: We were informed on our arrival on Friday that we would be better on the second floor as ‘a group was arriving’ on Saturday. We were NOT told about the loud disco/party which continued until after 3am on Sunday morning. We were given a discounted price for that night but would have preferred a good night’s rest as we were travelling that day (being on the second floor made no difference to the noise in any case.) Disappointing, particularly as the hotel describes itself as ‘a haven of tranquility’. You would be well advised to check that your stay does not coincide with any similar event. An email to the vacationing owner remains unanswered which may be an indication of how guests are regarded by the establishment.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The excellent diner in combination with the great location makes it a strong recommandation..It was after a long drive a relaxing expierence
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was basic and vey bread based but still nice and there was sufficient of it. Evening meal was excellent. Room large and very comfy. Parking excellent.
Cons: Lots of stairs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: An interesting building with unusual decor and furnishings. Very comfortable bed. Excellent shower (though separate toilet).
Cons: Very warm night and only a fan to cool the room. Breakfast was disappointing. Very basic and no fruit available.

Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a wonderful place not like another one Lots of history The staff was outstanding
8.8 Excellent
Pros: What a delightful hotel! All the charm of heritage mixed with some stylish, but really friendly and helpful staff. The hotel's location contributes and the breakfast is exquisitely served. I had Internet access problems but these were resolved soon. The little bottle of champagne for the initial disappointment was very much appreciated. That's good customer service together with some fine restaurant recommendations.
Cons: Perhaps the wifi needs a little attention!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a charming old building full of characters a wonderful change from the modern box! The staff were most helpful with excellent recommendations for restaurants and local amenities. I was driving a classic car so important I had a secure place to park, the receptionist accompanied me to a secure private car park so that was another plus
Cons: We had no dislikes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A hotel of character and individualism. Comfy beds with lovely bed linen, soft towels, varied breakfast with tasty breads and pastries.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely loved this hotel. So elegant, clean and well located. Full of charm. The staff were very professional and friendly. The hotel is a true gem . We will return!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb staff, AC worked great, awesome location close to all the old town sites & cafes/bars, nice clean bathroom with amenities, beautiful old building & very secure.
Cons: Parking is limited in the area; however, we reserved a space and it was not a bad walk to the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very traditional and historic hotel on fantastic location. Rooms are generous and hotel and staff makes you feel home. The internet worked well and was reasonably stable.
Cons: Did not sleep well at all! The mattress was curved and used. While I am sensitive with my back even my partner left the place with a back pain. We booked the "Haussonville Room".
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is very central and the room was well furnished and had a great view. Breakfast was very good too. In general Nancy is very beautiful and definitely worth a visit
Cons: I arrived by car on a Friday night and most streets were pedestrianised and all sat nav’s were taking me through those. This happened after an 8-hour drive and I was exhausted. I had to call the hotel to inform them that I would have arrived past 9pm and then they could have told me. The hotel must send an email with instructions; it’s cost them nothing and it would make our life so much better. Also no lift to bear in mind for those who aren’t super agile
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Hotel was excellent. Staff was beyond excellent. Location could not have been better.

Cons: Bedroom was nice, but space at end of bed was a little tight.
10.0 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and very well located
7.9 Good
Pros: Room was beautiful, staff friendly and close to the center
Cons: The bed was very hard (only the basic madrass)
7.1 Good
Pros: Terrific location, friendly staff, decent value for money. Plus I parked my car slap bang in front of the entrance because the other spaces were taken and nobody batted an eyelid. Thanks for that :-)
Cons: The room smelled of Grandfather. "Charming and old world" are cute descriptions, but it's a slight shame that also has mean you give up on certain creature comforts other similarly priced places would have provided - electronic facilities, oh and I couldn't get that plastic air conditioning thing to work.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice Hotel in the city center, parking possible in front of the building or in P-House nearby, comfy beds, good breakfast,
Cons: nothing....
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was amazing, the room and bathroom were beautifully appointed and it was excellent value for money. It felt like a very privileged place to stay - a place of great history. The staff were all pleasant and helpful.
Cons: It is a shame there is no bar for drinks - although there is a limited number of soft drinks in their fridge in the lobby. The walls between the rooms are a little thin so expect to hear your neighbour.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the best breakfasts we have had in any hotel, very fresh & excellent selection of food.Lovely staff

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kind of a strange concept with gates and key codes everywhere but the place is clean and perfectly fine. We had two rooms across from each other and it was great for the low price charged. Staff was very friendly, even loaned us umbrellas because it was pouring down rain.
Cons: It is a bit hard to find the lobby when you arrive by car, and also to get into the parking garage. Once we figured out how everything works it was fine.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, spacious rooms, good bathroom
Cons: We were first allocated a sub-standard room (no aircon, toilet didn’t flush, stale smell) . As for the second allocated room, overall fine but sofa bed not very comfortable and aircon not cool enough.
9.6 Excellent

Cons: Nothing to complain about
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great new apartment, plenty of room, nice and clean and a good location. Would highly recommend staying here.
Cons: There wasn’t anything to not like!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful welcome, off street parking (though extra), well equipped, clean and pretty central for a good price.
Cons: The only thing I could possibly complain about was the view, but that meant we didn't overlook a road and it was very quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and lovely staff
7.1 Good
Pros: It's a comfortable enough room, quite close to the centre of town. Quite cheap.
Cons: The bathroom is not well ventilated and smells a bit. The air-conditioning unit made a rattling sound at night. I saw a Chinese family who arrived at midnight and were stranded outside, there were no receptionists in the building and no way for them to get inside. Luckily a helpful local man who was passing by spotted their plight and helped arrange alternative accomodation for them.

Pros: Clean and the proximity to amenities and sites. Great parking even though it was public parking
7.5 Good
Pros: Property was very clean and comfortable and location was good.
Cons: I would like to inform any traveller who is driving that the parking facility underground is not connected with the hotel and is very expensive, for us to park our car overnight cost 40 euros which effectively adds 40 euros to the cost of your hotel room. I think it should be made very clear on the booking site about the cost of parking. This spoiled our experience of Nancy.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Nice decorated rooms, hotel close to city center (15-20 min walking distance)
Cons: Very dusty room, the sheet and one of the towels were dirty, we also had a big spider in the room - our first impression was that it was not occupied for a long period.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Short walk from place Stanislas, very clean rooms, secure parking available at cheap fee. Staff very friendly and a good breakfast as well and 12 o’clock checkout was nice as well. Would stay here again.

Cons: I have nothing to say negative about the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nicely designed room, with all simple things that you need, good parking nearby, pleasant staff. I had a view through the window to nice old school building on the opposite side of the street. Good value for money. Did not take the breakfast (option is proposed at check in), so can not rate.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building in a perfect location
Cons: It is an old building which obvious takes a lot of maintenance so some parts were a bit shabby. However, the staff and the ambiance more than compensated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, perfect location and very good value for money. We received a free upgrade because we had to wait five minutes at the reception at check in. The staff was very friendly and gave us recommendations and background information about the city. The rooms are very beautiful, decorated as you would expect from such a hotel and well equipped. Pros: Location is Brill right on the heart of Nancy.
Cons: More expensive than most towns/city's around Europe, but that's all of them in Nancy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous room for family, very pretty and European did not disappoint
Cons: All fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Needs more private parking
7.1 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly, place was clean despite building works outside the window. It will look great when the refurbishment is done.
Cons: Very tired decoration needing a full refresh to bring it up to standard.
7.5 Good
Pros: location is quite good, but room is a little bit old.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very hospitable and friendly staff Outstanding breakfast
Cons: Be sure to check if the room has slanted ceilings or a spiral staircase as ours did That is not suitable for every traveller or seniors
7.7 Good
Pros: Large room and television with two English channels for news. The location was convenient to sights, restaurants and shopping. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Our room was fairly spacious, but the furniture and decor were all dated and a bit tired (particularly the hair dryer). Lighting could be better--we were there for a couple of overcast days and, despite the large windows, could have used brighter or larger light fixtures to see around the room. As elsewhere in Europe/France, I find the breakfast prices too high to be worth taking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, very close to the station and secure underground parking. Only 10 min walk to Stanislas Palace. Highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Didn't stay long enough
5.0 Okay
Pros: location
Cons: Paying 10 euros for parking 2 bicycles!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location staff good breakfast
Cons: Being in the annex. Lack English television. Unable to unload close to hotel. We were told there were 4 TV channels but we couldn’t locate them. And we were warned about the construction causing problems. Wish I had known when I booked.

11
8.2 Excellent (2,418 reviews)

A stay at Campanile Nancy Centre - Gare places you in the heart of Nancy, within a 10-minute walk of Musee des Beaux-arts and Place Stanislas. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was very good
Cons: No car park
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was close enough to the main tourist areas (15-20 minute walk to the main square, museums, etc). The hotel feels modern and is very clean. The staff is friendly and attentive and does their best to make sure the clients' needs are met. Try to get a room higher up so you get a view of the city.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that I had noisy neighbours and the walls are super-thin - I could even hear one of the guys tapping the buttons on his phone on the other side.
4.6 Okay
Cons: The staff were unprofessional at all, the AC wasn't working from the first day. We tried to contact them on several occasions and each time they came up with silly excuses. We asked for a taxi to be pre-booked the night before we left but in the morning we realized that no one booked it even though the receptionist confirmed it beforehand., Overall the we were very unpleased and disappointed.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good value for money.
Cons: Pets are allowed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is very good, centre of the city. And personal is are very kindly. room is clean and comfortable.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and shower very close to the square
Cons: Hairdryer didn’t work in our room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff and great value for money
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A new, bland, perfectly adequate hotel. Rooms were fine. Staff was friendly and helpful, location good (close to train station, several minutes' walk to Stanislas Square). We did not opt for the breakfast so can't describe that.
Cons: The shower stall was poorly designed - it was impossible to take a shower without water spraying through the opening to get the floor soaking wet (which meant we had to use our towels to mop up, and thus needed all new towels each day). Also, if you are a heavy person, it would likely be uncomfortably tight to get into the shower stall. They did not provide a separate hand towel, just bath towels. No kettle for making tea or coffee, which is unusual in a 3-star hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Since i was travelling with my handicapped wife, it was good that the hotel was very close to the city center. Breakfast was good for a one night stay.
Cons: We had a rear room, so the view was towards a huge concrete factory hall. Not great. Also the spaces between the walls and the bed were a bit narrow for a movement impaired person. Not suited for wheelchairs though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for our over night stay. Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful.
Cons: Unfortunately one of our rooms had a terrible smell of smoke but the staff changed us straight away to the next door room.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was adequate, not as big a range of food as other we have stayed in recently
Cons: nothing not to like, everything was good for an overnight stay on the long journey home
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The family room we had was spacious with 1 double bed 1 single bed and 1 "roll out, under bed" single bed. The room was clean and fairly recently decorated. Bathroom and toilet were clean and spacious enough for a family of 4 (kids 9 and 12). Parking at the Hotel's garage is limited and therefore needs to be pre-booked, but staff pointed us to a monitored and free (at weekends) car park at 5 min walk. From hotel its a nice 15 min walk to the town centre.
Cons: Breakfast was reasonable but could have offered a bit more choice, but not expensive.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean room with up to date decor and facilities. Lovely Italian restaurant over the road.
Cons: Not much, parking was full, had to park in nearby cinema.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location, restaurants nearby.
Cons: Practically impossible to find a parking spot; this took more than one hour. Apparently the parking next door needs to be reserved in advance. Something to remember...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are excellent for a family- plenty of space, good facilities, separate toilet and bathroom. Shower was powerful, mattress comfortable, blackout blinds worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our small fridge didn’t work, sadly. But only a small fault out of a generally great stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: nice location with a proper breakfast.
Cons: not really
7.1 Good
Pros: Hotel was relatively easy to find, our car took us a little further than needed. All the facilities were great, the staff were friendly and happy to help with parking our car, as we had a roof box and wouldn't fit under cover.
Cons: The bed was quite a problem. The mattress was quite firm, which would have been fine, if the pillows would have been firmer. They were too soft, which meant that half way through the night we woke up, finding they had gone completely flat.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Well situated, in the centre of Nancy. There is a parking at the hotel, which is very convenient. The rooms are spacious, with a bathroom with shower and a bath tub and a kettle to make coffee and tea.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, Very good location with about 12-15 minutes walking distance from Place Stanislas, Clean and quiet rooms, Good breakfast.
Cons: According to the site parking is available but needs reservation. Unfortunately the parking was fully booked when we called the night before our accommodation. There is a cinema near hotel that you can park your car in its parking.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The guy at the reception was really friendly.
Cons: Bit of a rip-off. The rooms are clean, but shabby and worn out (lots of stains on carpet, damaged furniture and scratches on the walls) and it seems time for a renovation. Not a real famility room and beds are of bad quality (small and hard). Price/quality definitely not in balance. The breakfast is very expensive and not value for money. Also further from CityCenter than they describe and in bit of a strange area, Would definitely never come again and would not recommend to friends.

Overview Reviews
Located in Nancy (Poincaré - Foch - Anatole France - Croix de Bourgogne), Hôtel REVOTEL is within a 15-minute walk of Musee des Beaux-arts and Place Stanislas. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good value for your money. Clean, simple, small rooms equipped with all the necessities. A very good location for walkers, it takes about 15 min to place Stanislas. Parking available. Very tasty and fresh items at breakfast table at very reasonable price. We are returning guests in this hotel and we only hope things will only improve. Nancy is a very pleasant town to visit.
Cons: I saw guests standing in their rooms with the window open smoking. Obviously the hotel employees on the shift could see these guests as well. I wonder if they engaged in a conversation with these guests... It is not the fault of the hotel, that guests break the rules, but it is the hotel employees task to "have their eyes open " and provide the unruly guests with a feeling " I cannot break any rules because they care". We are wondering about this because a very good attentive employee welcomed us in the hotel, but a couple of hours later another one did not even greet us, did not say hello. Well, he was busy talking to his friend.
7.1 Good
Pros: Bit expensive for what you get. Just a standard room, but very small and no extras such as a water boiler or tea. It was very clean. Breakfast was okay. Not a lot of options but quality was fine.
Cons: Breakfast options, that there was no tea or coffee in the room

Cons: Room was compact. Had to pay extra for parking. Charged for city tax & when I showed staff my booking confirmation stating city tax included they were argumentative to point of being rude. Also tried to sell breakfast even though I had it included in price. Pilllows very hard.

Hotel De Guise - Nancy

8.8 Excellent (1,454 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel De Guise places you in the heart of Nancy, within a 10-minute walk of Place Stanislas and Musee des Beaux-arts. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It’s elegance, the staff, it’s location, good value for money.
Cons: No air conditioning
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location (in the old centre) and the feeling that the hotel is packed with history. The marble stairway makes the walk to the second floor an enjoyable trip. The hotel has (successfully) infused the rooms with the same sense of rich history.
Cons: A small fridge in the room was missing and the temperature in the room (in summer) is high and difficult to manage.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful old building in the heart of the old town. Quiet and relaxing. The staff were absolutely charming. We would love to stay here again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. No parking but massive car-park minutes walk away. Hotel staff extremely friendly. Lovely interior. Could not have asked for more.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful building in a wonderful location
Cons: No minibar in the room and no airco, but the staff happily provided us with free bottles of cold water and the room did have a mobile fan
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We thought it was going to be out of the way, but once we got there we realized it was just down from Place Stanislas (this was an amazing part of town that was literally breathtaking with its unexpected beauty and grandeur). The rooms were Paris-size, which was ok since the bathroom was large and the grandstair case is big too. The hotel is just a few minutes walk away from a VERY lively nightlife, with loads of eating options in the squares and avenues around there. We found the food options cheaper closer to the hotel; around Place Stanislas the prices went up alot.
Cons: The roads are narrow and one-way in many places, making parking a real challenge. There is no lift which can make getting to your room with all the luggage a bit of a challenge, but since the staircase and steps are these wide, expansive old-timey steps, it makes up for the effort by helping you imagine you live in a mansion.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hôtel is near the hearth of old Colmar. U
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very kind and attentive staff. Told us a lot of interesting history of the building. Extremely helpful with my need for a gluten free breakfast. Ideally situated to see the old town with lots of very good restaurants nearby, and parking in nearby streets.
Cons: Just a bit unfortunate that there were insects in the velour headboards but it didn't spoil our stay.
