We had a room with a lovely view over fistral beach, just what we wanted. The location is perfect to go to the beach, walk into newquay, walk over to the estuary. We did all of these. The breakfast was lovely. The hotel is a little tired, but being done up. It has a lovely pool which we also enjoyed. It was a great price for what we got and we would defintely go back
We were a little unsure of the eating options there seemed to be a menu, but we couldn't smell anything cooking or see people eating.
Sixty restaurant was good food
Lovely and clean
Was disappointed that the swimming pool and fitness suite was shut but I know couldn’t of been helped in the circumstances.
Excellent breakfast, very good, helpful waiting staff, a thoroughly nice experience
Some of the receptionists & female managers could do with a refresher on the customer service course, instead of palpable distain for the guests
I have stayed at this hotel around six times in the last few years. I love the location, and they are dog friendly. I had a nice dinner in the Sixty Bistro one night and was pleasantly surprised that was also dog friendly. I can see some areas have been refurbished since my last stay.
The dark haired lady receptionist was not very friendly but the other 2 blonde ladies were lovely. I was dissapointed with a few items in the room and I did discuss this with the nice blond receptionist. The toilet in my bathroom was 1 cm from the wall and impossible to sit on properly - I small physique so it would be even worse for larger people - I am surprised no one has complained before - room 112. The lighting in the bedroom was also poor and the light above the mirror in the bathroom did not work - the toilet roll holder was also loose. There were other small details in the hotel which could do with some maintenance. I left my business card with the receptionist - I am an Interior Designer and planning to move to Cornwall later this year. I would be happy to go through the rooms and show you how you could improve the clients stay by changing a few details.
