They wouldn't allow me to inspect the vehicle before. They said it was too dark. I came back, and there was a tiny scuff evaluated by a non-Hertz employee. I have outside insurance purchased, but I bet it's going to be a hassle.10.0 Wonderful

Had a Mercedes lined up for $500 over four days and was told we could get a van for much less with much more room. Took 15 minutes to switch the reservation around, and only at the end was I told that it was almost $290 more, despite the agents assurance it would be less.10.0 Wonderful

Entirely different block, in a garage with little-to-no signage, requiring an access code that we didn't learn about until we were able to get through on the phone, which also took some trying. Pros:
Generally liked the car (Renault Espace), but it is an experience. No visible dials, buttons, etc on the dash board. Definitely requires someone to show you how things work before driving away, but there was no one available to help.Cons:
Arrived in Nice and they did not have the car I requested (Citroen C4 or similar). Said only car I could have was a van, in a different price category and that I would have to pay the difference in rates. Attendant said she was new and didn't have the ability to waive the extra cost. To me this is unacceptable and I would like to request a refund of the extra charges. At that moment, you are a prisoner, tired after the journey to get there, and with less will to fight. Drop off in Paris very difficult as drop offs, as I learned trough experience, are only in parking garages with no indication that Europcar have operations in them. Drove around for hours before finding Montparnasse.10.0 Wonderful

The tank showed full, but only barely. Two miles further it was below 'full'. Which means that whoever returned it didn't do a good job filling up, nor did the garage pick up on itkeddy by Europcar

Pros:
I rarely rent from Sixt since they came up expensive usually, but I had this great offer and it was not listed as Sixt but rather FLIZZR. The car war new and clean, No issues with picking up the car, very helpful customer service as I had experienced in former encounters with Sixt. Also the customer service representative hinted clearly on all and any pre-conditions (scratches, small dents), which I would have never been able to detect, since the rental place at the Cologne airport is rather a dark parking garage. I was even able to get an automatic for a small additional charge ($5 a day).Cons:
The car, an Opel (Vauxhaul or General Motors), was supposed to be an automatic, but felt like a hybrid manual and had a very strange way to shift. Didn't shift smoothly, but I was stagnantly shifting, at least I did not have to shift manually.9.6 Wonderful
