We have known this hotel for many years, the new owners have to be congratulated on the refurbishment and organisation. We enjoyed our stay, it was excellent value for money.
Booking room and reception, tried their best to provide a twin room Maybe more twin and less double rooms would be useful - you can push beds together, but you can't halve a double bed
Hotel just refurbished to a very high stanard. The breakfast although very good, (as we did not request breakfast at the time of booking) was expensive at £9.50p
Nice decor in recently renovated rooms - tv good and liked the bath taps with temperature gauge built in so no need to try to get mixer at correct temperature Scaffolding around windows - obviously building work and renovations taking place - No chair of any description in the room - advised not delivered when ordered but badly needed one following a full days gardening!!! Also the pipes were particularly noisy - could hear other taps being turned on from adjoining bedrooms and even people going to the toilet!! Televisions sound was evident aswell - shutting of doors very loud - all in all not a quiet hotel but comfy
Good Location to Hospital Excellent refurbished room Construction site
The barman and chef went out of their way to produce a lovely simple meal that was not on the menu. Many thanks for that. The rooms are lovely and I hope you can keep the price low! Amazing how you have transformed it.
hotel design and comfort found no negative points
Friendly staff major refurbishment in progress at long last....food limited but good In process of refurbishment, breakfast average for price, this hotel may price itself out of the market following update.
I was very surprised with this hotel. My room was very comfortable and trendy. The hotel is full of Character and the Pool is amazing. The gym was very up to date and a good size. I would receomment this hotel to anyone.
Room was quiet and well heated The fact that I booked and recieved confirmation of a Superior room and in fact was given a Standard room. Having not stayed at this hotel before I only realized that I had been given a std room when I checked out.
excellent food and the staff very friendly. well above average hotel. a better choice of draught beers would be good.
Stunning value for money. Beautiful accommodation, blissfully comfortable bed, very quiet, and staff who are clearly happy little teddy bears. We almost stayed an extra night just because it was so nice.
Lovely location. Purpose of visit was a wedding so really only used the room. All the staff however were very helpful and efficient. Rooms were small dark and very basic for 120 pounds per night and all furnishings were very tired.
The helpful staff who offered me an alternative to eat when the Bistro had closed and i did not want a full al a carte meal.
we liked the location/the charictor of the place. excellent/place/price no smoking
Everything! Tried very hard, but couldn't find anything wrong at all. The website photos don't do it justice, beautiful place, excellent facilities, lovely room, great staff, fantastic breakfasts.
Hotel with excellent facilities and great character
The staff, the grounds, the hotel. We had to move rooms on our 2nd night, as there was a dance on on the 15th and our room was above the hall, didnt get much sleep. then we was told there was going to be antother dance on the 16th, so they moved us to another room.
It is a small B&B. Good breakfast. Stituated not far from the center. Very good beds. There was no wifi available at all, as mentionned in the Booking.com-informatiom! Payment by creditcard not possible. No 4 star-accommodation!
Good position. Comfortable room. Poor quality towels. Shower too hot, couldn't regulate it.
Attention to detail, a tea pot and jar of coffee, perfume in the bathroom
The way they upgraded us, free of charge, to the best room as it was available and how they let us bring our very small dog, We slept in miss the breakfast (as we always do) and they very kindly left us to sleep! The B+B was more like a lovely old world hotel...just lovely Not a thing
Warm welcome, nothing too much trouble and recommendations of where to eat. None
The greeting was cheery and friendly and we were shown to our room straight away..It was great to have a jar of coffe, a jar of hot chocolate and proper teabags with a teapot on the welcome tray. The complimentary toiletries were excellent. Breakfast was tasty, freshly cooked and served promptly.
Location - easy reaching distance of Hull but away from city and very close to river/bridge so great for breath of fresh air before working day. Breakfast served very cheerfully in pleasant surroundings. Spacious room and bathroom. All clean A bit noisy (traffic) at the front of the b&b but used to it by 2nd night. No internet access.
Very helpful and a good breakfast. Good sleep and my dog was welcome and enjoyed his stay None
None No luxury found not a 4star
No complaints what so ever. We were contacted by phone whilst travelling up to Hull which we found reassuring that room was available.Staff excellent. Room excellent, clean, quiet, bed very comfortable, very impressed. Many Thanks. No bad points
Very friendly staff made it feel like a family home rather than a guest house For a cheap and short stay I have no complaints
The hoast was very freindly & helpful, also very nowledgeable on the local area. The food was localy sourced & very tasty. The location was perfectly for our walking of the Way of The Vikings for that particular leg.
Location. Breakfast. Pub Manager Very small room.
Friendliness of staff. A comfortable and cosy bar area and restaurant with good food at affordable prices.
Avalability, reasonabel priced Pub-menu Noise from a wedding below, breakfast to rich (fat). Could want a confirmation on the net from the hotel.
Excellent, friendly place. Food was first class and some very good ale Noise from bar somtimes loud when in room.
easy to come and go,safe parking, pleasent surroundings
Staff were very friendly and the food was good.
The Bay Horse is a friendly local pub in an attractive village within walking distance of the Humber River. The rooms are small but comfortable; one wouldn't want to spend much non-sleeping time in them, but for a visitor with places to go/things to do, they are fine. There is a half-hourly local bus service connecting Scunthorpe & Hull.
The friendly atmosphere Noisy from other rooms at night.
Simple country pub with very welcoming staff. Good food. Very good value for money.
