It was great!
Close to Universal and I-Drive, In walking distance to the Orlando Eye and several attractions on I-Drive
Cost of room was more than what the facility warranted. I paid up-front but was additionally charged $32 for a parking pass, this was ridiculous and I felt was a hidden charge to yet get even more money. Overpriced!
The friendliness in the interactions I had with almost everyone. From the valet, the gentleman checking us in and the bell hop. Everyone was great, interactive and was genuine with their interests and advice for things to do in Orlando. probably will stay here again even though the price was high.
The price was a little much for a one night stay. And when checking out the guy was so short and to the point with me. He asked how my stay was but it was genuine. He could've been having a bad day, we all have those but everyone else was so friendly and pleasant that he stood out. Could've at least included a nice breakfast for the price paid too.
Parking fee, really?
I didnt like that there was a $14 per night fee at a higher end hotel that wasn't in a city. That is just unacceptable.
Having to pay additional monies to park in the parking lot....
I loved the hotel and the proximity to Universal Studios. The rooms were clean, the service was great and the feel was much more highend then some of the other hotels in the area.
It was very family oriented so sometimes there were noise related issues. We're a young couple so it would have been better to have more quiet and less kid like chatter but it was still not enough to deter us from staying at the hotel in the future.
Sort-of Upscale Hotel
Located near Universal Studios and I-4 (most direct route to Disney World). The best feature - a Giordano’s Pizza within walking distance. The hotel has an upscale, perhaps even a little gaudy and artificially pretentious feel. The rooms and public areas are clean and well maintained.
Perhaps because of the convenient location, the roads around the hotel are very contested, making it hard to get in and out of the parking. Parking is the other issue - there is not much, and what there is, costs $12 a night. There were 2 private events at the hotel the night we checked in, and the parking was over-full with abandoned cars blocking parking empty spots, and other cars which could not get out - a perfect nightmare. Finally, the hotel seems to be the location the chain uses to lure people to Orlando for their time-share presentation - "Stay 3 nights in Orlando for free if you attend a 45 minute presentation." If you are into timeshares, great! We are not. If we ever visit Orlando again, we will choose a different hotel.
$17 for a 12 year old breakfast buffet was steep for the "selection" & taste.
Quality for price, location, breakfast buffet, clean
A bit noisy, we could hear everything in the next room and hallways
FITNESS CENTER NEEDS WORK
General clean, quiet, hotel with all the necessary amentities, bar, Breakfast , computer printer, clean rooms
The fitness center equipment was old and not well taken care of. The two days I was there only 1 of the 5 treadmills was functioning on the first day and the second day there were two different ones working and one had a loud screech and the other rocked and knocked against the floor. They also had a bike and elliptical, but the elliptical was not working either.
The parking was terrible. You have to pay $10 per day to park at the hotel but there is not enough parking for all the hotel guests. Once the parking lot is full you have to use the valet parking which costs more money. This hotel is better suited for someone that is in town for business, not a family on vacation. If you use the room service, you have to pay a $3 delivery fee and a 22% tip. The hall that our room was on had a terrible odor and there were stains on the sheets.
Paper thin walls, fine for a short stay but not for a long one
