The streets of Paris are filled with amazing stores and boutiques and you might conclude that not a single shopping mall exists in the center of the city. There is in fact a gigantic mall but it is hidden entirely underground and the Novotel Paris Les Halles is located right next door to this subterranean shopping paradise.
Comfortable and quiet
The four star Novotel Paris Les Halles features modern, comfortable rooms with a full range of amenities including free WiFi internet access throughout the hotel. Despite its central location near the busy Rue de Rivoli the hotel's rooms are an oasis of quiet in the centre of the city. With a patio, bar and 8 meeting rooms the Novotel Paris Les Halles is ideal for business or leisure.
The narrow streets around Les Halles are crammed full of bars, restaurants and galleries and the shopping mall (Forum Les Halles) offers a multiplex cinema (screening many films in English) as well as an underground pool. The hotel is less than a 5-minute walk from the unique Pompidou Center. Designed by Richard Rodgers, the center offers a varied program of contemporary art. The River Seine and Notre Dame Cathedral are also just a short walk away and the city's many attractions such as the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower are all easily accessible via the Metro.
Overall help with taxis, dinner reservations, comfort of the room, location close to exciting parts of Paris, extremely helpful staff. Also, the size of the room, relative to other Paris hotels, is superior. A nice, professional, contemporary hotel with a first-class staff and great attention to detail.
There was no room for unpacking our clothes! stayed for one week and there was not a single drawer or shelf to store anything so after paying the rate of a 4 star hotel, we got the "confort" level of a 2 star hotel instead. The carpets were filthy and the matresses were soiled! The narrow hallways smelled and felt like a cheap cruiseship. We are very dissapointed with the quality of the rooms and the overall value of this hotel.
Facilies were very nice and the location is very central. Very short walk to multiple train lines and metro. With one exception with an encounter with a bartender which was terrible, the staff was great. Most front door men are always hustling bags, giving directions and calling cabs. All spoke English.
Family's be aware of one minor quirk. The bathroom and shower doors are clear glass with a dulling switch. It just doesn't get real dull. It's still very see through for all members to see. However the rooms were very modern and clean.
Service was excellent. All staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful. The hotel is conveniently located 5 min from the Louvre, restaurants and the metro. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The locxation is great for the cente of Paris, without being in any high traffic or people area. The Hotel facilities are good and the breakfast a splendid spread.
Taxis are hard to come by, and the Chatalet station, whilst being very close, is a nightmare to understand (Not the Hotels problem)
They should not advertise free internet as for four days I could not check my e-mails as two same people were occupying the two computers they have for hours every day.
Well located in a lively part of Paris and close to shopping and restaurants.
We didn't like the third bed, was too small
easy to visit shops and west bank area
the shower cubical water flow was poor to non-existant. we complained to room supervisor but told it was normal on 5th floor
The location was great very central
The area looked abit dodgy at night but we had no trouble whatsoever!
Very convenient to RER. Great location! Quiet. Friendly staff.
Location. Nice rooms.
Long waiting line at the breakfast
Modern, comfortable, rooms are spacious and kids can stay in your room and eat for free.
Absolutely no problems, even with the WiFi .
