BEDROOM: They do not offer a real bed. It is a table with legs and a mattress on top that moves around and is noisy, with the slightless movement. We talked to the manager and they called some technicians but the excuse was that the “bed” had some legs so the cleaning room service could vacuum the floor (more on the cleaning service later), so they “fixed it” but no, they did not.So my partner and I ended up sleeping separately. SOFA: Saved our stay. It was comfortable. No bedding provided though, we had to dismantle the bedding from the bedroom and share it with the sofa. Upon the 1st room service on the 3 day (since they do not clean your room every day but only every second day or offen if you ask for it), they provided more bed sheets, but we knew they just moved them around, probably even from other rooms because my sofa had then the bedroom sheets and the bedroom had new stains, not fresh :D The joy! KITCHEN: The cutlery provided was dirty, not even washed. We washed it with soap and used it 2 times, left it there because we did not have proper soap and realized they “cleaned them”: probably only with water and dried them up. We wanted to use them again and saw the same stains and refused to touch anything in the kitchen. FOOD: they have pescetarian and vegetarian options. Many times the fruits (kiwis) were dry like a stone, some of the items from the night before were revamped into new items that when tasting them, felt old. You might get something really fresh or something 3-4 days old. CUTLERY, PLATES & Co: everything is DIRTY. From the FIRST dinner, I grab a plate and it is full of food leftovers, I take another one, also dirty and filled with stains! And I told it to the manager there and she was super grateful I mentioned it to her, but it did not improve. Every day we were fighting with the plates, trying to find the least disgusting one. Coffee cups were sometimes dirty, the coffee jar in the morning was filled with fingerprints. BREAKFAST selection: very basic, eggs, cheese, bread. Nothing WOW 4 stars. All the cakes and pastries are store bought. DINNER: every second day there is a la carte menu, which is decent. The vegetarian options are alright, the meat options are all very mediocre, everything tastes like nothing, overcooked or just plain. On the plus side, the male chef was really friendly and during BBQ days (Sundays) he offered meat cuts freshly grilled. BATHROOM: No WC brush, WC filled with yellow stains. I had to buy my own product lysol and clean it on my own DURING MY VACATIONS. The hair dryer almost made me puke when I first grabbed it. It had some brown creme all around the only single button… Again, UNACCEPTABLE. GYM & SPA: only visited it, did not use it given the dirty conditions of the room, we assumed everything was the same: dirty. POOL: not as big as you see in the pictures, people all around the pool making it very annoying to walk around it. There was a floating cockroach for 2 days straight. LOCATION: Good location, there is a nearby bus station about 10 minutes by foot, good location for bike rides. BAD location if you wanna go to bed before 10pm because there is a hotel right next to it (Puerto Azul) that has live shows starting at 9:30pm, lasting sometimes almost until 11pm. VERY VERY LOUD. Even with in-ear silicon protection, you can still hear it. STAFF: At least the staff at the dining room was nice, always polite and some of them went above and beyond and were paying attention to what you were usually ordering for drinks, so they knew and prepared everything already for you. That was our only pro during our stay. You could tell how hard they work.
