Château Fleur De Roques - Puisseguin - Building
1

Situated in Puisseguin, this hotel is 2 mi (3.3 km) from Chateaux Beausejour and Langlais and 2.3 mi (3.7 km) from Chateaux Vieux Mougnac. Chateau Siaurac and Chateau Brun are also within 6 mi (10 km).
9.0 Excellent
Pros: staff very friendly and helpful, dinner was excellence,
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great to be able to stay in a building with so much history, and the owners provided an interesting summary of this. Very welcome log fire next to dining area provided a good place for an apéro and card game before dinner.
Cons: We stayed on a very quiet evening and were the only diners in the restaurant. I found the food only average and the broad menu did not suggest all the dishes would have been freshly made. Around 9.30 we were told that the restaurant was "closing", with the suggestion that we might want to sit in a lounge upstairs. The one we found did not have sufficient seats for the four of us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Maybe a little expensive for the quality of accommodation overall compared to other Logis hotels.
Cons: Staff too rushed in the Restaurant although it was Saturday evening and all tables occupied. Attention to detail for us was a little lacking for example we were not offered an amuse bouche whereas all others guests were and a simple request to change something to a dish on the menu was refused by the Kitchen.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good dinner and breakfast
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The chateau was very comfortable. We loved staying at an old historical place like this. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.
Cons: The restaurant was not open for dinner when we stayed there which forced us to drive back into Saint Emilion again.
7.5 Good
Pros: Spacious rooms, helpful staff, nearby many vineyards, free parking
Cons: There were several spiders each night in the room, along with many in the hallway. This may be “to be expected” in an old chateau, but it would be helpful if the cleaning crew could clean up the hallways. Many stairs to get to room (a few steps at least 5 times) which was a bit of a hassle with heavy luggage.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great property on the outskirts of puisseguin. Very easy to access and a beautiful property. The rooms are very nice and the restaurant is absolutely delicious. Perfect place to enjoy wine tasting both in the property and nearby.
Cons: Nothing to reproach
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We did not have breakfast.
Cons: The service at dinner was very very poor. We waited 45 minutes for someone to bring us a menu and then another 20 minutes before we were asked if we would like some water. We ordered white wine for our entree but were brought a rosê. We ordered a red wine to accompany the main dish (le plat) and none was delivered. We were almost finished eating the meat and still no wine, so, I walked around trying to find someone but there was no one available. So, I walked into the kitchen and asked one of the two "servers" if they would please get us some wine before we finished our dinner. They were shocked to see me in the kitchen, but I had no other options. We liked the food but the lack of service ruined the everning.

Pros: Location was good. Breakfast was fine. Room was fine.
Cons: Very short 2-hour check-in window. Did a wine tasting in the afternoon, chose the wine for our wedding, only to find out they had offered us wines they didn't even have in stock. Arranged for the wine to be dropped off the next morning before we left. In the morning as we were leaving we were told the wine wasn't coming, but no explanation why. The staff were rude and unapologetic.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Handy B&B tucked away near the lower edge of the town, but just off the main street. Nice view from our window of Les Grandes Muraiilles. Extremely quiet at night and yet handy for all the restaurants and sights. Felt very secure. Charming owner, who was welcoming without being overweening. Helpful during breakfast. Discreet.
Cons: Nothing to dislike in particular. Possibly a little overpriced, but it is in St. Émilion.....
5.4 Okay
Pros: Loved the central location
Cons: The property should have provided details of the location of the free car park. I spent 40 euros on car parking. The bathroom was awful. The shower was terrible with water coming out of the spilt shower hose, and grime around the bath/shower. There was no door to the bathroom area, just a curtain. The pillows provided were terrible. There were no instructions on how to use and regulate the heater in the room.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was quite convenient to the town and to free parking. Beautiful view of old ruin from the window especially at night. Breakfast was very good. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Bed was comfortable but room was in poor condition. Pillows were strange, very flimsy fiberfill. The plumbing did not work well. Toilet took an hour to fill between flushes, both sink and shower drained very poorly. Nevertheless, the price made this tolerable given how expensive St Emilion is. We did enjoy our stay.
Cons: Plumbing needs work. Drawer front broken. Some kind of closet or hooks for hanging things would be nice. No place for bags.

Pros: Location, staff
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, excellent location, nice breakfast.
Cons: More interaction with the staff - and in French! - would have been nice.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Owner did not give good instructions for opening front door using code on keypad. Had to find a neighbor to call owner to come let me in. It was a strange system to figure out and owner should have done a better job of communication. She was was not particularly helpful in this regard and I had to wait 45 minutes trying to get it to work until she came after neighbor call

Pros: I cannot recommend Le Pavillion Villemaurine enough - it is one of my favourite hotels I have ever stayed in, and we go away a lot. The hotel itself is stunning, and finished to the highest, most tasteful standard. On top of that, it feels so genuinely welcoming, like you're old friends of the family that own it and they can't wait to host you. We will absolutely be back!

Pros: Hospitality of the owners made your stay exeptionally enjoyable. Wine tasting was a delightful experiance as well as breakfast with charming music in the background.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Located in the middle of vineyard the place was especially beautiful in the beginning of Oct while grape harvest. Our walks though the lines of grape bush/trees were wonderful. The place is near the St. Emillion and it's worth to visit this famous town. In the evenings hosts suggest degustation of a couple the vines of their winery. And the last indeed are worth to try.

Pros: Nice to be out in the countryside away from all the tourists! Special to be staying at a vineyard in this region. A fantastic breakfast. Fresh fruit, breads, cheeses, croissants etc.
Cons: We were ok, but if you didn’t have a car, it would be difficult to get to this establishment.

Pros: Very nice hosts and the room is really spacious and with a nice view of the vineyard.
Cons: The bed needs fixing because sometimes the beams of the bed frame falls off.
