Pros: We spent two nights here. We were in the family room. The kids loved the bunk bed. The location is just perfect and the owners are really helpful and friendly. We had a great time.

Pros: In historic old town and lovely beach. Very near ferry port. Small but everything you need for short stay
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great people, good breakfast, great location.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff and comfortable room. Private parking was tricky to get into, but appreciated as we had a car full of stealable objects. Staff were helpful in directing us to park.
Cons: Left the window open as we like fresh air, but there was some noise from revellers late in the evening and gulls in the morning, so we closed it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is charming. The owner is smart and helpful. I couldn't have been more pleased.
Cons: No complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The set up of the "family" room was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 older children. I loved having windows that opened wide onto the cobblestone street below. Wonderful staff who spoke fluent English and patiently helped our daughter pronounce the French phrases she was attempting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great little hotel in an excellent central position intramuros. Staff were so friendly and helpful from restaurant recommendations to allowing a little extra parking time so we could go shopping next day. Rooms clean and recently refurbished breakfast was tasty and fresh. Family friendly. We will be back
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, facilities breakfast and staff.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner and all staff were very cordial. When we arrived after roughly 20 hours of travel, he showed us 3 rooms, ours and two others in case we had preferences (one was at the same rate; one was a bit higher); even helped us carry our bags up (since there is no lift). We took the room we had booked and were very happy; did not have the breakfast as we ate on the ferry to Jersey the next morning. On our return trip, they kept our luggage in a locked storeroom as we had several hours in St. Malo before getting our train to Paris. Excellent dinner recommendation the night we were there. Absolutely excellent experience!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent with a clean room and very comfy bed. Room bigger than expected and bathroom excellent. Staff were more than helpful giving some good advice on where to eat. A great place to stay in St Malo.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I felt like I walked into a storybook. It was better than the pictures. Calm, elegant. Wonderful hospitality. We liked being beyond the walls. Easy walk to town and a short walk to a local beach — but we did rent a car and the hotel was a the perfect starting point for excursions to Mont St Michel, Cancale and Côte L’Èmeraude.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area just outside St Malo and a 5 minute drive away from the port. We were upgraded to a large room at the top of the house with a sofa and tv. The bed was very comfortable and no noises could be heard from the room. Helene booked us a table in a nearby restaurant, which was excellent, when we arrived and offered to serve us breakfast earlier so we could get to the port on time. Breakfast consisted of freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants, breads, jams and yoghurt. Would recommend staying here, just wished we could have stayed longer than one night.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming, lots of helpful information, safe parking, short walk to Solidor bay and restaurants.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A lovely clean place to stay , the owners were very polite and nothing was any bother . Ideally placed for a nice 20 minute stroll through not St Malo .
Cons: The car park is covered in small stones so when manoeuvring the full loaded motorcycle with panniers and pillion was quite a challenge as footing was not stable !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a villa and looks exclusively inside and outside. The owners serve very good breakfast inside and outside in the quiet garden. Parking available on the ground. Excellent restaurants within 1.3km at the waterfront. Stayed there 4 nights and we felt very welcomed.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel building was beautiful as was the owner and her yummy breakfast. Helen could not have been more helpful, she was the perfect hostess.
Cons: The hairdryer in the room and the small glass shower panel that left me worrying about getting water in the floor. Minor details though given how lovely everything else waa

Cons: Nothing - all good
6.8 Good
Pros: Private parking. Free water and tee/coffee making facilities. Good design.
Cons: Bathroom door was near bed with big gap between doors. Towels and dirty bathroom carpet wasn't changed for all 3 days of our stay. Poor breakfast for the money (bread, croissant, jam, yogurt, slice of cheese and ham for 13 euro per person). For 2 days from 3 we have got 2 slices of ham for 3 people.

All the staff were exceptional. Sonia, in particular, provided a warm welcome and helped us with all the information we needed for our short stay in St Malo. Try the breakfast - highly recommended!

Villa Esprit de Famille - Saint-Malo
8
9.0 Excellent (315 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Villa Esprit de Famille in Saint-Malo (Rothéneuf-Le Pont), you'll be within a 10-minute drive of St. Malo Citadel and St. Vincent Cathedral. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room we got was incredible: attention paid to every detail made our one night stay very special: the linen sheets, beautiful towels and kettle with tea + coffee made of it our favorite room during our Brittany road trip
Cons: Two things could really be improved: 1. The check-in time, which was very unusual and quite inconvenient (5PM-8PM). 2. The breakfast that had great jams, home made crepes and delicious baked goods but barely any cheeses nor eggs, so for us who are more into having a salty breakfast, it was rather disappointing.
7.5 Good
Pros: The property is in a pretty village and has a modern designer feel. We were able to park safely and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was good with a gluten free option and good coffee.
Cons: The property has sacrificed style over practicality. The rooms were extremely small, especially the loo which opened out onto the bed sitting room. There were no drawers or hanging space in the bedroom - it was too small to accommodate anything other than the bed. The rooms were full of beautiful books on St. Malo but there was no useful information on places to eat, etc. Breakfast was good, offering gluten free options but silly tiny designer bowls and cutlery and it was physically impossible to sit at one place at the table we were allocated so we moved. I suggest the owners try experiencing a couple of nights at the hotel themselves - it could be really lovely with less designer clutter and a bit more thought.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are incredibly charming, and I believe we were very lucky with ours. It has lots of charm and sun that comes in through its big windows. There's a kettle in the room with available tea and coffee which was a nice extra touch!
Cons: The breakfast was rather disappointing: I usually like to go for salty in the morning and they only had one type of cheese, in limited quantities. However the coffee and marmalade/brioche options however were very good!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous guest house.
Cons: No cheese knife
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Price and location. Also a good breakfast and very nice owners
Cons: The wc separate from en suite shower
9.3 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: So friendly, clean and comfortable. The area is gorgeous - 8 lovely beaches to walk and swim.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Location is ideal for coastal walks and access to St Malo for the day.
Cons: lack of access to the main breakfast area in the evening. Would benefit to have microwaves in the kitchenette. The shop should be more separated from the breakfast area as it does feel a bit like eating in a shop with everything around you for sale.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, lots of history, staff who couldn’t do enough, amazing food
Cons: The lack of aircon on a very hot night but that wasn’t their fault and chateaux of that age don’t usually have aircon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was my first visit my family booked it as a surprise for me they had stayed here before. I have mobility problems and Nicolas gave me the downstairs bedroom with a walk in shower. It was a beautiful room with a 4 poster bed and an French doors that opened up onto the garden, (But did not access the garden). There was disabled parking very close by with a ramp to access the hall and entry to my room. My family (A couple) had the room opposite mine perfect. I cannot say how much I appreciated the way Nicolas and his colleague looked after me my every need was met with charm and good humour. A holiday I will always remember.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is our second visit to The Chateau, beautiful place to stay. We liked the addition of the French inspired menu. Your are treated more like a friend rather than a hotel guest, nothing was too much trouble.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Its a character property with a very interesting history and its well located.
Cons: The room was modified, albeit badly, for disabled patrons which we were not. The furnishings were an after thought and it looked a bit like a junk store room. There was a very large heavy ornate mirror resting on top of a small hall table which was very precarious. Another mirror was mounted so high you need a step ladder to see yourself. When this was pointed out to the manager he stated that he had only been at the Chateau for two months and hadn't seen all the rooms! We were disappointed with our allocation, there are much nicer rooms available. Had we been staying longer we would have requested a move.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Beautiful setting so close to st Malo. Food delicious and wine to complement the meal. What not to like?!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the park with its pond, it's golf Area, the woods...

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean room. Simple but sufficient facilities. Great location and very helpful host. The wifi was also pretty fast.
Cons: Bathroom didn't have a toilet paper roll holder which led to some inconvenience. Window blinds don't close all the way sometimes. Didn't bother me since I wake early anyway but if you want to sleep late it may bother you.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A well restored building in the heart of the old town. Great location to be amongst the shops and restaurants, as well as being in the cultural heart of the town
Cons: The lift broke down so for much of the day we couldn't use it. If you come back at night, when the reception is closed, you can't use the lift. The stairs are very steep, so it is tedious and a little dangerous
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming man on reception after a slightly fraught arrival from a long drive. Parking easy nearby within the walls. Free overnight from 6pm. Pay during the day. Loads of good restaurants close by. Stroll around the town walls is a good way to see the town. Breakfast in the hotel was good value.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a very nice hotel with friendly staff. We slept well and the bed was comfortable. Our room wasn’t ready for until almost 6:00, but they have a nice and comfortable bar to wait in and they stored our luggage for us.
Cons: Wait time for the room to be ready.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Close proximity to old town. Clean and tidy. Comfortable room.
Cons: Onsite parking overbooked for entire 3 nights we stayed. Room not made up until late in day
4.3 Okay
Pros: Nice lounge and location
Cons: Construction which started early and was loud! Our view was dirt and construction. Hotel should reduce rates for this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing was 1st class
Cons: The carpark access was difficult to get our long car into and parking was difficult to manoeuvre.
7.5 Good
Pros: Perfect location just outside the walled city. Saw sunset and sunrise from our room. Massive bed, very comfortable. Smart bathroom with separate toilet. Underground car park.
Cons: Underground car park is useful, quite expensive and rather tight. The cars have got larger since the spaces were marked. Cannot pre-book a space, it’s first come, first served. There was a problem with the card system when we checked out and we were made to feel like we were trying to get away without paying, even though we tried 5 cards between us, visa, MasterCard, debit and credit cards in EUR and GBP. We didn’t think they were going to let us out of the car park to catch our boat.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice Location at the seafront,, only 5Min. walk to City center
Cons: Currently pretty noisy due to street construction works already early morning.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was lovely.
Cons: We felt the parking at the hotel was expensive £20 per night but we were aware of this on booking and it is limited. Available parking on the streets were too far away from the Hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is tops, just outside the walled city. Most rooms seem to have at least some sea view. It was a quiet location. There was coffee in the room.
Cons: The room is very minimalist. The bathroom is separated from the room by a smoked glass wall. Privacy is impacted a little. The shower felt like someone was competing with me for hot / cold water.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location to visit St Mało . Very friendly staff .
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Position ,staff,décoration ,breakfast ,etc
Cons: No fridge in room .
7.1 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Room was with car parking view. No free parking places were in hotel parking, despite booking in advance.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were marvellous. We were allowed an early checkin from the ferry and when we were caught in snow storms they were able to be flexible with the check out too. The location was perfect for the centre of St Malo and there were excellent restuarants nearby.
Cons: Everything was fantastic.
7.3 Good
Pros: Nice place with a smashing view of the beach. Great shower! Easy walk to the wall city, with all it’s great places to eat, meant that it was not a problem the hotel did not have a restaurant.
Cons: Very tight car park, although very secure if can get in! (We had a Land Rover). No opportunity to make tea or coffee in the room
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff allowed us to leave our bags early in the day. Beautiful sea view. Stylish room/bathroom. Fantastic position by the beach but only a short walk into town.
7.3 Good
Pros: I love the design of the hotel, clean and comfortable, modern and so near to the beach, lovely view from the window..seperate toilet and bathroom...a plus....most amazing hotel i've ever stayed in, of course, st malo is a beautiful place..will definitely stay there again...
7.3 Good
Pros: We thought the bedroom was really well decorated and well presented. It had all amenities and had been really well thought out. It was probably the most comfortable room we stayed in during our 2 week holiday in France. It was also good having a secure garage.
Cons: The only think we had hoped for was to have dinner on the evening that we arrived as we did not feel much like walking too far but unfortunately, the hotel didn't have a restaurant. The barmaid suggested a sea food restaurant in the walled city which wasn't very good.
5.7 Okay
Pros:
Cons: I found the price too high particularly as everything had to be paid for in addition to the room price
7.6 Good
Pros: Wonderful shower arrangementsnand decor. The best I have ever seen in any hotel. I also admired proper reading lights well placed by the bed - very rare.
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: The location close to the walls of St Malo and the beautiful view when we were eventually allocated the correct room
Cons:
4.8 Okay
Pros: Room was well appointed and furnished. Shower room was good. Location was good
Cons: Breakfast we disappointing. Food choice was limited. Cpmplimentray champage that was offered as partvof the package was denied because the bar staff was not available and " I should have demanded it on arrival". Blame was passed to me and the hotel staff were adamant that it could not be sorted.
6.4 Good
Pros: It does what it says on the tin
Cons: Tea/Coffee making facilities would be nice. Garage parking is restricted and expensive

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very charming hotel. Right inside the wall of the old city. Very helpful staff.. Nice breakfast set up.
Cons: We were on 4th floor & elevator only went to floor 3. Not terrible, it was a little bit of a challenge with three big suitcases.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Located intra muros, perfect for enjoying the wonderful old town but still not noisy at night Friendly and helpful staff Nice room with a comfy bed
Cons: Our room was not really big and was lacking space for storing our clothes properly

Pros: Spacious family room and great breakfast.
Cons: It was tricky putting items out of reach from our young children.

Cons: Room a bit small.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location just outside of the main 'strip' so it's a short walk and you're in the hustle and bustle of things but quiet at night.
Cons: Surprised it didn't have tea and coffee facilities in the room as a 3*.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Very friendly and helpful receptionist
6.8 Good
Pros: Comfortable room but the two twin beds kept us sleeping separately. Didn't have the breakfast. Nice location and fairly quiet.
Cons: The man at the front desk wasn't very helpful-------couldn't get English t.v. and he didn't seem interested in our problem. To park our car near the hotel cost 45 euros each night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast very fresh & great choice
Cons: The shower not great could have been stronger
7.0 Good
Pros: The room decor was nice, the bathroom was refurbished, the location was easy to find and to walk to from the city walls, and the staff was very attentive.
Cons: The room and bathroom were very small.
6.7 Good
Pros: The bathroom was lovely, new and clean. The continental breakfast was also very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On our last day staff asked if we wanted to order a taxi from the hotel. We had already decided that we wanted to go to Dinard by bus as it was going to be cheaper to get a taxi from there to the airport. The lady in the hotel arranged for a taxi to pick us up from a location in Dinard which was very much appreciated as when we went to Dinard we did not see a single taxi in sight.
Cons: The lights on the corridor did not come on automatically with movement. It was difficult to find the lights the first time.
8.0 Excellent

Pros: All the Staff very helpfull and warm, location is ideal for both shops and cafe's. Hotel is modern with nice classical features - very French.
Cons:
6.4 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel in the old city, everything in walking distance from good restaurants to the beach.
Cons: Hotel parking was difficult unless you had booked in advance and garages are tight. The one way streets make it hard to locate the hotel unless you have a good map or Sat Nav/GPS. Very small showers, small but fairly comfortable rooms.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming style, located right inside the walled city, easy access to everything. Homely atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, lovely breakfast.
Cons:

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is great
Cons: Windows don’t open very much. During a heat wave, no AC is an inconvenience, table fan is the only assist.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and friendly, location couldn't be better.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, a wide variety of choices and all the staff from the owner, his wife down to the employees were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The whole area of the walled city looks old but in fact was rebuilt after the 2nd world war when St. Malo was extensively damaged. So the design of this building as an hotel could have been more reflective of modern tastes. The decor is quirky which results in the overall lighting being not really adequate. The bathroom was rather dark and basic and we had problems with the hand basin which wouldn’t hold water sufficiently long enough for my partner to shave. Although he tried the owner was unable to rectify the problem while we were there. The bath was not quite full size but the shower screen was which resulted in a smaller space available to get into the over bath shower. This meant you having to stand on the sloping back end of the bath which was slippery and therefore dangerous. Neither of us are abnormally large but I slipped and fell being the second to shower and bruised my right upper leg. A grab rail would seem to be an absolute necessity as a minimum. We also found the corridors dark although the automatic lighting functioned well and the lift really was too small for a hotel with five floors. The ventilation in the bedroom was inadequate to meet the very high temperatures that were experienced during our stay. The owner had helpfully put in an electric fan but the windows were not able to be opened very much due to safety concerns I imagine. As it is a know fact that heat rises which with high temperatures is not the fault of the owner, there is an urgent need for air conditioning if future temperatures are going to climb due to climate change.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect central location....staff very helpful
Cons: Room a bit small, bathroom and toilet separate and very small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, clean and great location.
Cons: All OK
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel in the centre for everything.
Cons: Bed far too small for a couple.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a family suite with our 2 year old, which meant we had 2 rooms which both connected to our own corridor. This was perfect, she loved her room and the cot that they put up for us and meant we could stay up in our room once she went to bed, like having our own little apartment. We also had a bath in one of the rooms and a shower in the other. The owners were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: location, staff were great. Uk TV channels were good too for the area. St Malo itself was epic and will be back with family.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: location, staff and valet parking for small charge.

Cons: some initial difficulties finding parking but improved later in the day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location on the seawall walkway. You can watch the 30 foot tides change during the day. You can see the city walls and harbor forts down the road. Many beautiful nature walks and more beaches are only a short distance by car. Saint-Malo has great dining and cultural history very close by. Great shopping. One of our favorite hotels, this was our second stay. The staff was particularly gracious and helpful. Garage parking close by is now available.
Cons: Breakfast was OK but not a very good value for the price.

Pros: The staff is very friendly and we had to possibility of having a family room for the four of us for a great price. This was actually two double rooms communicated through a middle door.
Cons: The hotel is not really close to the center, but this was not an issue for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big car park. Not far a way from shops and restaurants. Friendly staff. Clean and decent size of the room. Good price.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was perfect breakfast was excellent. We chose this hotel for a overnight stay for the ferry the next day.Location great for this .
Cons: Not a great location for finding local places for dinner however the buffalo grill was a short stroll away.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The Location, welcoming & Staff, sparkling Clean, the breakfast
Cons: A very beautiful & clean restaurant but they are not investing it at all, no service, no servers all the time, you take the breakfast as it is with no additional service, I think that there must be an international concept preparing fresh foods especially at evening as well as a kind of room service, F&B is the most important part in any hotel

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Stunning view - great location for the beach and old city
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was the highlight of our experience - helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The room was small but comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was large and updated. Overhead was appreciated from the American guest :)
Cons: The parking facility was a bit confusing to exit and enter, but the staff gave as best directions as they could.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is so close to the beach, the room was really comfortable and elegant, the roof top bar was also a joy to visit.
Cons: It’s quite a walk from the old town (about 20-25 mins walk) which was a bit surprising.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was ideal !
Cons: No aircon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is fantastic. Right on the seafront, with one of the most breathtaking views possible, and located ten minutes away from the fort where all the touristy stuff is. Nothing like sitting in your room or the rooftop terrace and enjoying a drink watching the sunset. Breakfast is also really nice, with lots of options available, and the gallettes at the restaurant are fantastic. Staff is very helpful and kind (and they all speak English which is rare)!
Cons: Honestly cannot find something wrong to say. Maybe the lift to go to the top floors is a bit slow and small but that was the only thing that could even be considered a minus.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view facing the ocean. Sleeping with windows open and listening to the ocean gives you the best sleep ever
Cons: -
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. Wonderful sea view from the room and restaurant. Breakfast lovely, served cheerfully and freshly made. Friendly staff at lunch creperie. We didn't want crepes for dinner also but there were very good restaurants on the road behind the hotel. We wanted lunch before leaving so after vacating the room there was no problem putting oue luggage behind the reception. All in all, a welcoming, friendly atmosphere created by this family business. We will return
Cons: Nothing. OK, the room was on the petite side but this was a small price to pay for the location, view and quality of staff. It's only for sleeping after all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved staying here. I hope to come back for a longer period of time. The location of the hotel is so beautiful and peaceful. It’s right on the beach, making it super convenient and easy to get out and walk around. It’s in a quiet part of town but still an easy walk to the historic walled city. There is a grocery store within a 5 minute walk. The restaurant looks out onto the beach and has delicious food. I had dinner there and enjoyed watching the sunset too.
Cons: There’s a rooftop bar as well with a sweet view. They play loud music sometimes, so if you’re not into that, stay on a lower floor, not the 4th floor.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: really nice place to relax beautiful location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Perfect stay in St. Malo.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Splendid
7.0 Good
Pros: All hotel staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful.
Cons: We were told that the Spa Facilities would be available to us but our 5 year old daughter was not permitted to enter all of the pools. We did not find anything on your website or literature that informed us of this rule. The spa staff were unsympathetic, arrogant and, frankly, rude.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Excellent location direct at the beach and not far from old down town of Saint-Malo. The staff from outside terasse restaurant was worth for a five star hotel and the menues what you can get are really good especially the dessert.
Cons: The price for a so called „Grand Large“ double room of 31sqm and seaside view is extremely high. Especially because the room was much smaller than 31sqm. Servive was just so so. We stayed 5 nights and had to ask 3 days to refill the Nespresso capsules one time no fresh towels and in general the hotel staff was not really caring. In general for me this was all in all far below what I am expecting and already got from a five star hotel. We will come back to Saint-Malo, but not again to that hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property met all necessary expectations on a 5 stars, room, infrastructure. Restaurants and amenities - very large Spa area with many treatments, room with terra e and view to the see was great
Cons: I don’t appreciate that guests can go to the breakfast at restaurant in their bathrobes, not healthy, this is not the living room of your house
9.5 Excellent
Pros: lovely hotel and food in the restaurant was very good. Staff are fab!
Cons: having paid over £400 for one nights stay then being charged £50 for entrance to the spa. overpriced and not worth it. stay elsewhere and still pay the 50 spa fee if that's why your going
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotels location directly on the beach is magnificent. Arrival by car was incredibly easy as it was quickly whisked away by valet parking (at no extra cost) and was equally quickly available on request.
Cons: Many of the spa services ... such as access to the on-site thermal pools... was at additional cost which, given the high price of the hotel to begin with, seemed ridiculous.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view
Cons: We didn’t see the bill after our meals. We had no idea what we were spending!!

Pros: Location. Car parking easy, but under trees so bird droppings an issue for the leased car.
Cons: A bit pricey, but it was holidays & a strong holiday attraction.

Pros: Close to bus stops and beach, a few restaurants near by. Good for a stop over. 10 min walk into city.
Cons: Room fairly average, breakfast pricey for what was on offer even if buffet.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved quirky character, home made patisserie for breakfast and proximity to the beautiful beaches!
Cons: This was a lovely stay - nothing to dislike.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location.
Cons: Dated room and bathroom not clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property serves a Continental breakfast that was filling and there was a nice variety of cakes. The location was ideal for us as it wasn't too far to walk to the train station, and also not far to walk to the walled city.
Cons: There wasn't anything I didn't like
8.8 Excellent
Pros: great location, parking nearby, nice decor
Cons: Nothing really
5.5 Okay
Cons: Very basic continental breakfast for E12.50 per head. It's a very long walk to the cross channel port
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was good - just 10 minutes on foot from the center. The hotel was clean.
Cons: It was three of us staying in a suite room that had a double bed and an extendable sofa bed. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable - not at all suitable for sleeping! My sister-in-law suffered as she had two sleepless nights and a backache the next days. The hotel should invest in a more comfortable sofa, otherwise they should not claim that the room can accommodate three or four persons!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location.
Cons: Our room door had issues.

Cons: No air conditioning but compensated by a fan
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was lovely - very good choice of food and drink and plenty of it. The location was great on the seafront and near the main town so we could leave the car and walk to the sights
Cons: there was nothing to dislike
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location wise I liked it though it is not smack in the middle of the City Centre, to me it it worked out better because you don't have drunken revellers or corsaire troops making noises outside your window into the wee hours.
Cons: The room was a bit on the smaller side. Unlike other Ibis, this one in St. Malo did not have airconditioning, but I guess that is because during the high summer the Bretagne region tends not to overheat. Parking-wise, you need some advance warning because it is difficult to find a spot around the hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice beachfront location, lovely public areas for breakfast which was good!! Only a 15 minute walk to beautiful marina and old town, a must see!!
Cons: We felt the bedroom was a little small and fairly basic so only stayed 2 nights.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the sea view and the interior. The room was exactly the same on photos and very clean. The personal is welcoming and attentive. We left our luggage at the hotel, so we could walk before our departure. This hotel is perfect for a weekend or a vacation at sea.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: fantastic location on the sea front, excellent breakfast, lovely staff.
Cons: very small room
5.8 Okay
Pros: The position of the hotel. The usb box near the bed.
Cons: The smell of the room. Coffee of the breakfast.
6.8 Good
Pros: sea view
Cons: continental breakfast, with too many people getting in each others way and taking eggs from boiler that they hadn't put in themselves !
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Reasonable walk to the walled part of the city
Cons: The room was small and therefore difficult to move around

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The view from the coast-side room window is perfect. The sound of the surf wafted in through the partially open window all night. We arrived at low tide and watched the sea rise across 100 yards of beach to lap at the sea wall beside the hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was super also the coffee. We could see the sea from our bed.
Cons: Breakfast was fine - we loved the traditional cakes which were not too sweet - however, the choice of cereals can be better.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was lovely good value
Cons: All good
7.0 Good
Pros: Proximity to the beach, very convenient. Breakfast.
Cons: They advertised parking but there was never room to park the car (they have very few places). We had to park in the street and our car was scratched by someone. The staff at the bar was not very welcoming.
6.8 Good
Pros: Fantastic sea front location.
Cons: No tea/coffee/water in the room. No safe in the room - room didn't feel secure, being on the ground floor. Expensive breakfast option (#12 per person). Hotel looked a bit tired. High season price (#155 per night) is excessive - only positive being the amazing view. If we went back it would be off season (#97 per night).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view is amazing. Breakfast is delicious
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location on the prom next to the beach. 20 min walk to st malo.
Cons: Insufficient car parking. Location not suitable for elderly. Loads of stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and a beautiful sea view.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The view from the lounge and terrace
Cons: The manager was surly throughout our stay - from check-in and our first question to his lack of farewell said it all. All other staff were civil. Poor Wifi reception - only worked in downstairs bar/lounge Breakfast croissants etc overcooked very day
5.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel is just in front of the beach. Nice and pleasant
Cons: The family room is an Annex almost under the basement and at the level of the parking. It is not at all an appropriate hotel room.
