We enjoyed are stay at the Leon Bianco - would recommend to anyone who likes a bit of peace and tranquility while visiting Italy Rooms with a view are outstanding and a joy to wake up to in the morning
The location is good, in a central square. But S Gimignano is so small that is not important. It´s a expensive hotel for what offers. Bad value for money.Noisy rooms and poor breakfast.
The rooms and the location
perfect location. Friendly and efficient staff. excellent directions and very good english
the piazza no parking
Value for money We missed it a few times going round as it's an entrance between two cafes, but we should have asked first!
The location was superb for a visit to San Gimignano. The warm reception was pleasant. Wifi connectivity was sporadic.
The location was the best possible place to be in S.G. Every part of the stay was wonderful, even considering that much of the town was closed for low season.
Lovely room overlooking square. Fantastic location and the best breakfast of all the hotels we stayed in.
Only one minor criticism was the breakfast was not particularly good.
breakfast were great; the staff was really nice; not a perfect environment for kids; our kids are 8 and 11, il was ok, but, to my advise, it would not be suitable for kids of younger age;
Excellent location, stunning view from Swimming Pool of San Gimignano and yes shuttle service is operating! Cannot get anything to eat (not even a snack by the pool) once the kitchen is closed which is inconvenient given that the hotel is 1.5km from town. Small shower even for a small person.
The stunning views and private balcony. Friendly staff. Indoor pool. Excellent shuttle to the heart of San Gimignano
The view from this location is stunning (not from every room) but in general.Very quiet location with 15min walk into San Gimignano which is a beautiful old walled city perched atop a hillside-also stunning views here. Staff at hotel friendly and attentive, we had basic comfort room which was very nice. Only slight negative comment is that not all rooms look out over the hills, but I suppose thats going to be impossible!
We found your place to be a peaceful relief coming from the hustle of Rome . The views were breathtaking and everything good about Tuscany. The food was wonderful . The coffee. Please get rid of that machine and make proper coffee
Location. The view. Breakfast was excellent.
Lovely views everywhere.........a shuttle to the main walking area of San Gimignano, very convenient.....beds were very uncomfortable and hard !! Nice breakfast by the pool. Quite pricey............. Hard beds !!!!
View from hotel good - nice having a balcony - room modern and nicely furnished. Pool area very nice. Atmosphere in restaurant would be much improved if the music was improved - having the radio on for meal times was not a good idea. Also the air conditioning in the room was controlled by a central computer - and did not seem to have any control in the room to make it cooler - would prefer to have the control myself. At Breakfast it was a self service buffet which was not a problem, but again it would have been improved if someone had served freshly made coffee - the coffee from the buffet was not very nice.
the mattresses on the beds were really hard and unconfortable
Relais Cappuccina deserves a 10. This relatively new (5 years) hotel/resort has spared no expense to create a welcoming and quality getaway. Extremely friendly staff, superclean rooms, lavish breakfast in a stunning setting overlooking the Tuscan landscape and the old town of San Giminignano. The hotel has all the amenities one may desire and is conveniently located to make daytrips to Florence, Sienna etc. and is a great base to enjoy and discover the beauties of Tuscany. Highly recommended. Absolute value for money.
Location in the center of the piazza was convenient, as it was in the middle of everything in San Gimignano.
The panoramic view of the Tuscan countryside from our superior double room was magnificent. The room was very nice. Location was great in main piazza. Breakfast was very good with the same view. Parking offsite makes it somewhat inconvenient, but we didn't mind since we were able to drop our luggage at the hotel first. The 10 minute walk was good exercise for use..
A central location with good amenities, restaurant and staff very helpful bathroom needed a little updating and cleaning to skirting
Location was excellent, nice clean room, helpful staff very loud in our room and very uncomfortable bed/pillows
excellent hotel location no
Driving "up" to the hotel door to unload our luggage is a + location is aaa+ rooms are ok for the $$ and location, but not luxury the staff was very nice The restaurant is ok, if you sit early (light enough to see) and if they seat you in the right area the food is horrible and could not be called italian breakfast: no eggs, coffee reminds me of war times, but what do you want for this much? I would still come back for the location
Location, price and the fact that I can drive to to unload and pickup the luggage That we did not stay longer but we have stayed there before and will again
We had a wonderful view from our room out over the valley in two directions. The room was fairly large with a nice bathroom. The restaurant/breakfast room was pleasant, with good food. Although we were able to unload our luggage in the piazza by the hotel, parking overnight was some distance away.
everything was excellent
Location is perfect in centre of town and the view (if you get a superior room) is super. Hotel is a bit shabby and needs a facelift badly and a good deep clean but our room itself was clean and grand for the price. We had a countryside view. San Gim is very touristy and expensive to eat compared to other Tuscan towns.
It is in a perfect location right on the central square. The staff were helpful.
Close to the town, good views not being able to sit where we wanted to at breakfast
Spacious grounds, very friendly staff, great location for day trips. Dinners at the hotel were very good. Bed was a bit uncomfortable.
great garden with swimming pool , good breakfast , nicely decorated diner was average
Small and cosy, very friendly staff, warm atmosphere, beautiful surroundings (park), excellent starting point for visiting towns and places in Toscana.
Nice and big garden. Close to San Gimignano. Dinner could be better. The menu looks good but the food was not always good.
Good size rooms, friendly staff. The breakfasts were uninteresting and limited in choice.
The beautiful countryside and the lovely view from our window. The breakfast was always the same food and after the second day you get bored with the same food.
location , restaurant , breakfast
Beautiful Tuscan Villa. So relaxed. Surroundings are spectacular and the food in the restaurant is amazing. The free bus service to San Gimingano was great. The staff are great, cant fault this hotel.
Subltle lightiing in the dining area in the evening would be nice
Wonderful view - very pleasant surroundings within the grounds - convenient location Dogs barking continuously - not the hotels fault. Air con not working (too early in the year I imagine) so not fully adaptable to unseasonable weather.
Just a very short walk into historical center so you can come and go as you please. Upgraded to best room and it was excellent with a great view. Breakfast good enough to satisfy most. Attentive staff. Had to upgrade to receive decent view.
The hotel was lovely and staff very pleasant and welcoming. Dedicated parking was available, first come first serve, near the street for free, which was great! Location was good - a little far from town, but still walking distance. Location was very quiet, tranquil country setting. Pool looked beautiful and inviting. Lovely breakfast room overlooking garden and pool. Room was tiniest and most expensive of the 9 European hotels we stayed at. The bathroom was the most compact I have ever seen. I didn't even attempt to shower. The terrace was bigger than the room and bathroom combined, but was too windy and chilly to use it. I recommend this hotel because it was the easiest way to access the town and avoid the parking issues. Also, the hotel was very nice and the room was fine - just small.
Helpfulness of lady on desk who arranged excursions
Helpful staff. Clean. Lovely view, nice garden and pool. Walking distance to San Gimignano.
The hotel was perfect for a holiday in Tuscany. It was very peaceful and had beautiful views across the Tuscan hills. I would recommend this hotel 100%, the standard size bedroom was large with a great bathroom and great views. We stayed in Italy for 14 nights, 5 of which at this hotel and it was by far our favourite. We loved San Gimignano also, it has such character and history. The hotel is just a short walk from the city walls. Originally I has booked a "small" room. The room was as stated tiny but had been advertised as having a large balcony. When I went out on this 'large balcony',the view was non existant and was facing other similar small rooms and we could not see any of Tuscany at all. This made the combination of the small room and the balcony very claustraphobic. We were advised that we could upgrade to a standard room at an additional 40 euro per night. We decided to do this and received a remarkably better room with a fabulous view. So if you are going, I would recommend this room type without a doubt.
Location, friendliness of staff, cleanliness Vey small bedrooms
Location and parking.
The view from the bedroom window was spectacular. The location near town was most ideal. Everything was great
Visit date- Apr 28-30,2012. temp cool. Charming, old-world culture.Location was perfect for leisurely strolls through the town. The attached restaurant offered a beautiful vista over the surrounding countryside. Lots of ambience for evening dining. Very substantial breakfasts were served here as well. staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were small but adequate. We found the shops in San Gimignano offered the best variety of leather goods and prices were more reasonable than anywhere else as we travelled throughout Tuscany to Rome. We regretted not purchasing our handbags, belts and leather jackets there. All our accommodations were booked through booking.com. Every location met our expectations, and all reservations were as described on booking.com website. Know where you are going! Be sure you are at the right gate for entrance to the city. The streets are narrow and you really do not want to take a car into the city even to drop off luggage. There are no lifts and you must climb stairs with your luggage.Travel light..we didn't ! Hotel is only a short distance from the back entrance. Ask for a room in the back of the hotel. Our room overlooked the main street and at 6:00am each morning the trash and wine bottles are collected. It sounded like a bottle recycling location!
The breakfast buffet was lovely and varied in its choices. The setting for all outdoor dining was lovely and romantic with great views of San Gimignano on its distant hilltop. The pool was gorgeous. I wish we could have stayed longer. There were no fresh flower arrangements inside the hotel. They should make more use of the inner courtyard which was the former cloister.
I enjoyed it as the ambience was really nice, quiet, comfortable, staff quite friendly and helpful. Beautiful scenery, beautiful vistas, located just outside of town, easy acess and egress. Altogether very pleasant. Accomodating as well, allowing us to depart one day early without penalty.
the hotel is located in an nice, well-maintained historical building in a very nice environment although making noise the airconditioning was not effective at all. the temperature was above 30 degrees, also at night. the menu of the restaureant was quite limited and did not provide good value for money. as breakfast is concerned, quality was good but again, a fairly limited choice. And when paying 270 euros per night, I would not expect to pay an additional 6 euros for a simple boiled egg. so although the hotel has all the assets to be a splendid holiday hotel, both the non-functioning airconditioning and the ratio of value for money would keep me from going back.
Lovely setting and building Too impersonal, poor breakfast
Facilities at the hotel were good. The hotel was deserted and as a result the atmosphere was very poor.
fabulous room, fabulous staff and fantastic location Restaurant a bit sterile-to be fair staff very good but it was a bit quiet
The staff were amazing (Paola and Mario especially. The location to San Gimgnano was great. Rooms were lovely, Gastro-restaurant was fantastic. Service of rooms great. Can't say a bad thing about this venue. Looking forward to visiting again.
The hotel was situated in an excellent location for visiting the area. The hotel surroundings were extremely relaxing and the service from the hotel staff was second to none. The hotel restaurant menue did not change for the week we stayed there
The rooms were lovely and very spacious. Loved the bathroom w/jacuzzi tub.
the breakfast is good (croissant hot from the oven) shower is broken! there is not hair dryer, no cups to drink・・・・ not comfortable.
During my 15 days trips around Tuscany, this was the best accomodation I've stayed! The house is amazing, very rustic, cosy. The rooms are big and very comfortable. Becouse it was autumn, I think the quantity of guest is less, so there was no breakfast available. I saw there was estrutucture for breakfast (kitchen, table, space), but it was not working. It was a little bad for us, cause the hotel was 10 km from San Gimignano, and we had to go there to have breakfast. It was not a real problem, but we felt sorry for not using the kind breafast room and the marvellous garden. But, ok.
Charming small hotel with cozy and international athmosphere. Very nice and helpful staff. It was nice to relax by the pool. There was a bus connection to San Gimignano, but it was also possible to walk there in 20 minutes.
Peace, comfort, location, service.
We were disappointed with the hotel. Access was bizarrely through an empty room sometimes used for breakfast I suspect. Our room was fine and clean, but had no outdoor space and the hotel was more like a guest lodge. No facilities other than the pool. Not as good as we were expecting for the price.
A pool Traffic Noise, Pockey Room, No Refridgerator and no means of Refreshments
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They catered to our every whim at breakfast and even drew maps for us to get around Tuscany. The location was perfect as well.
The view of the city was great. Staff was very nice. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Small shower in bathroom.
Perfectly situated in rural Tuscany. Very good breakfast, room was enormous.
The Terass with a view on the toscane
The location of the hotel and its facilities are excellent. The staff were very attentive and helpful.
View, food, cleanliness, internal design, facilities
Stunning views of San Gimignano and Tuscany. Fantastic location. Excellent spa. Good pool area. Good room. Good food. Good staff.
landscape, location and facilities
Room and pool Breakfast and bathroom supplies no hair conditioner
the reception staff were very helpfull, our room was lovely and the view amazing I was dissapointed that towels were not provided at the pool. The lighting in the restaurant was too harsh in the evening and the atmosphere was spoilt by this. i also found one of the waiters quite bolshy and not a credit to the rest of your staff
Situation, staff friendliness, room and room terrasse with view on Toscany hills, spa and fittness centre, swimming pool, quietness, restaurant Nothing
We liked the location with splendid views of the surrounding countryside. The garden area and pool side area were pleasant for relaxing and the pool side lunches were very good We were disappointed by the lack of staff to attend to us as guests . No porter to take our bags to our room . Not accompanied to the room to show us where it was or show the facilities . No staff except a receptionist to get us drinks in the evening . Untrained staff in the restaurant . Delay in service in the restaurant in the evening .
Really nice restaurant and wait staff. It was really quite expensive for what it was. The pool wasn't great.
The facility itself is charming and has a great location. Service. Almost non existent. Perhaps not for a lacking of trying, but rather poorly managed.
Hotel in very peaceful surroundings with good views. Nice loungers to sit on for a lazy reading afternoon. Host at hotel very welcoming, friendly and helpful in suggesting places to visit, tours by car, and walks. Fresh towels whenever they were required. A buffet breakfast was served in the kitchen. However only very small portions of jam, meat, cheese, milk, fruit juice etc was put out. The host baked his own bread which was 1 small loaf for 6 guests. For 2 days there were only 4 guests and on the second day the loaf was the remains from the previous day. I was appalled to see the host's assistant washing the breakfast dishes under a running tap with no washing up liquid and just being give a rub with her hand and then left to drain and after a few minutes placed back on the shelf ready for the next day. The bed had a top sheet covered with a lined beadspread which had a number of dirty marks on it which had clearly been there for some time there were no blankets. The directions to find the property were easy to follow but it was not mentioned that for the most of the way the road was nothing more than a track. We were shown a shorter route but this was gravelled and very steep in places. Neither route was particularly car friendly.
The manager / caretaker was very helpfull on visits in the area. Well informed. Please put more pillows on the bed! Ice in the fridge in the room.
The beautiful surroundings Coffe facilities
Lorenzo was friendly, attentive and extremely helpful. He even noted our friend's birthday and produced flowers at breakfast. He allowed us use of the kitchen one evening as I was unwell. He couldn't have been a better host and made our trip fantastic.
The friendly owner, the excellent view on San Gimignano and surroundings
Location, quietness, comfort, swimming pool do not forget to download the access indications provided on booking.com
I liked friendly staff, nice and comfortable rooms, food and countryside.
It was just perfect ! Even the nice cat....
We had a lovely, comfortable, well proportioned rustic room with a wonderful view. Excellent (home made) continental breakfast, with evening meals in San Gimigniano; good recommendations were provided. A perfect quiet location for exploring the region. Not the easiest place to find .. but as it is away from the main road - that is an advantage as it is quiet and relaxing!!
convenience to centre and pleasnatness and helpfulness of reception staff and breakfast staff No, for our short stay everything was good.
The hotel has lots of character without sacrificing any modern comforts. The staff was extremely friendly and enjoyed sharing information about their beautiful town and the surrounding area. I will definately go back there again. Getting to the hotel for the first time, in the dark, proved to be a little difficult. The photos on the web site helped a lot, but providing an idea of distances between turns will be useful.
This hotel had a great location for exploring Umbria and it was great to return to in the evening. The dining room was an extra special treat for lunch or dinner. A gourmet delight. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a beautiful, relaxing setting with unbelievable food!
Location, friendly staff, quality of room
The location of the hotel was ideal. The parking lots were out side of the city of San Gimignano and far from the hotel. We had to take our luggages long way to the hotel.
Great location inside the ancient City walls Their directions to find the hotel were very poor. Heard other guests making same comment.
the extra-helpful staff the piazza on which it was located was a little shabby
Excellent position within the walls of the town, easy walking distance to all areas of interest. The bathroom was very small with only a shower and no bath.
We both really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very courteous and helpful without being intrusive. I'd come back here again.
Hotel was charming and perfectly situated. The room was very clean and well appointed.Staff was gracious, welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely return.Have recommended it to friends.Parking was a boon.
Beautiful setting. So peaceful. Beautiful room. Wish we could have stayed more than one night. Need a car to get to San Gimignano.
The view is amazing. To be in a farm that actually produces wine and olive oil is a great experience. The rooms are very farm style, wich I think is great, but some people might find it not so confortable. I rated the staff on the person that received us the first day. She was very angry and not helpful at all. I have to say on our last day we had a woman named Claudia who was very, very friendly, though. So it doesn't aply to everyone. The shower is very, very, very small. There's no water to drink in the room.
Located in the Tuscan countryside, 3mi far from the cute San Gimignano, Fattoria Voltrona is a peace of paradise in the middle of the vineyards and olive trees. Special congratulation to Daniela, the trilingual reception girl.
a beautiful location in tuscany. Friendly staff and enjoyed family style meals in the restaurant. would definitely return- next time would try to go horseback riding on their icelandic horses. good breakfast
Beautiful place, worth the drive.Place is exceptional, traditional Tuscan food in their restaurant. Well worth a visit
Beautiful scenery, appreciated the English spoken, the pool was lovely
Excellent location, breathtaking views, excellent service attitude of the staff, good breakfast. Rooms not very clean
Fabulous localisation and views. More like a hostel than agritourism accommodation. Beware of dinners - based on our experience it's much better to add another 10 EUR and dine in San Gimignano than take a canteen-like offer in Fattoria Voltrona.
very very beautiful place to stay; nice rooms; nice people; breakfast included; tasty wine we did not know that we could have nice dinner (but it is problem of informations from booking.com?) and we had eat before come - that is little bit pitty
Beautiful surroundings, real Toscana. If you expect a luxury hotel style you will be disappointed, but if you want an original high quality farm holiday you will be very happy here! We will come back for sure and book the horse-riding tour in advance!
All on one level. Main swimming pool very good Second pool needed attention
Relaxed, helpful and efficient staff. Very clean, well-maintained hotel. Solidly built, with very little intrusion of noise from the corridor and the adjacent bedrooms. Very nice swimming pool with easy access from the hotel rooms. Very good hotel-related restaurant located immediately next door. Pleasant surroundings. Quite close to San Gimignano (1 mile away) and relatively easy to get to surrounding areas of Tuscany by car. Constant noise (daytime and night-time) from the busy main road that runs past the hotel, a road which carries all the tourist traffic from the autostrada into San Gimignano. This was quite unexpected and detracted from our enjoyment of our stay. At night, because of the noise, we had to sleep with our windows closed and with our air-conditioning (which was noisy and ineffective in hot weather, and not capable of reducing the room's temperature below 21C - another minus point) on. We wished we had picked a hotel in a genuinely tranquil location, but stayed on because of the plus-points of the hotel noted above. A very minor issue I noted was the lack of privacy of the bedroom garden terraces/patios, with only low hedges separating the terraces, but I expect not much could be done to remedy that. Finally, a small suggestion: it would have been nice to have had British newspapers such as the Times and Daily Telegraph provided in the lobby, alongside the other newspapers that the hotel provides for its guests to read, given the number of UK guests that use the hotel.
Everything, I didn't want to come home. We arrived about 10pm on the Saturday night. They were all waiting for us to arrive, they made us feel very welcome. Nothing at all. Very very good, Hotel. And very nice staff. We will go back.
Lovely location, quite and sunny among the cypress trees and olive groves. Easy connect by car to San Gimignano, Siena, Volterra and Pisa - and the coast. Clean hotel, friendly staff and good breakfasts - good evening dinners also possible in nearby restaurant. We had a room for three which was a little crowded - we really would have needed a little more space for 3 adults - so, I think the room was a little small with suitcases, clothes etc. Also, pity that there was not a computer in the lobby for guest use to check weather, sites of interest etc.
This hotel was very outside but very close to San Gimminano. The room was very nice and clean with a very clean and modern bath. Though it was winter, our door was poolside and the pool area was lovely. I would stay here again...though we didn't eat at the restaurant, it looked very good. This hotel was reasonably priced...staff was friendly and very accomodating.
nice hotel. friendly staff. breakfast o.k.(i'll rate it as 7 out of 10).clean rooms. water pressure in the shower
the view waqs beautiful, excellent surroundings, well maintained room and hotel; good breakfast, excellent restaurant for dinner everything was great!
All staff, were very pleasant and extremeley helpful. Reception staff took the time to help us arrange transport to and from San Gimignano. Breakfast was excellent and although not part of the booking deal, the evening meal in the adjoining restaurant 'Da Pode' was first class.
Friendly people Tea and Coffee in the rooms would be lovely
Great pool, close to major atractions but you need to have a car
very nice and quiet
location, room size, front desk staff was so courrteousc countryside was beautiful
View was great. Food was good. The room had a very welcoming feel to it. No in room safe.
Location was excellent for a holiday in the Tuscany. Very clean. Staff most helpful. We will return. Well done. Shower facilities could do with an upgrade.
Very clean and comfortable. Close to San Gimanginao and easy day trip to Florence.
Beautiful Location & Friendly Staff Rooms were small
Only the location is ok. Services are very poor, in fact we had to wait even for check-out. Also breakfast couldn't be called a breakfast, tablecloth was very dirty, room very poor, definitely can't be called a four star villa.
Hotel apartments authentically Italian with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Lack of public bar area, restaurant (only opened if 6 or more guests dining), poor selection at breakfast time. Slightly isolated with very few facilities on site.
staff very friendly; food very tasty; position beautiful, over hills.
The views were amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful The rooms were terribly cold at night (mid February), and the breakfast was pretty meagre
location-spacy room-very quiet during night-nice place to have breakfast
The place was beautiful. The staff was friendly. The room was very clean and beautiful. The breakfast was great. The home made wine was delicious! Everything was wonderful. Most of the staff didn't speak English which was a little hard for communication. It was a little hard getting there, better directions would have helped. But after we got there it was worth every minute.
Poderi Arcangelo is an old olive farm and vineyard whose stone buildings are renovated for "agritourism." It is set in the beautiful Tuscan landscape, with a modern swimming pool overlooking the fields of grapes. The pool softens the rustic lifestyle and was so enjoyable on the hot summer days. We stayed in a former hayloft, which meant our bed was upstairs from the ground floor where our children stayed. We were travelling with another family and they had the adjacent suite. None of the guest rooms have refrigerators, although a small one is available for shared use in a nearby building. Air conditioners are installed in the rooms but turning them on costs an additional 6 euros per day (like having a pay toilet in your room). The alternative is to sleep with windows open and be eaten by mosquitoes. The evening meals were OK in quality and variety but quite expensive and had to be ordered ahead of time. The poderi does not sell drinks during the day and the staff takes a siesta after serving sandwiches at lunchtime (they must also be ordered ahead of time).
In a beautiful setting with wonderful views. Staff all very friendly & helpful. The double room in converted barn we had was large, but due to design no clear outlook from windows or place to sit eg. balcony.
unique location, surroundings, calm and quite, concept, location, view, accommodation some front-desk staff, lack of customer orientation, poor breakfast (room, quality, setup and cleanliness)
With our rental vehicle we were able to travel from our very comfortable "home" at Il Casale del Cotone to many interesting towns and wineries nearby. The casale was full of history and charm, each room being unique in its features. We loved the hospitality and the beauty of this beautiful country hotel. The swimming pool looked very inviting but it was already a bit too cool as we were there in early October.
The setting couldn't be any more beautiful. If you're looking for a vacation in Tuscany, you won't be disappointed. The property is very old but beautifully maintained. Disappointed we couldn't stay another night!
Set in the hills of Tuscany, this 17th century farmhouse has been remodeled and is absolutely gorgeous. About a 5 minute drive from the nearest town, it offers peace and quiet. We loved the winery it's on; you could imagine how it would have been 400 years ago. Very comfortable room with good sized bathroom. Nice breakfasts, friendly staff. Would go back in a heartbeat. Only downsides were: no iron/ironing board available, nor was there a hair dryer. If I owned a hotel, these items would be in every room! I can't imagine that we're the only travelers with wrinkly clothes....
Alessandro the manager was very pleasant and the room was beautiful and very clean. It is superbly located but you will need a car to get into San Gimignano.
The location for what we we're looking for and beauty was fantistic Alessandro was also very helpful in giving us some great suggestions on places to see and a great restaurant to go to Was very happy with our stay
We liked everything about this hotel. It was the best we stayed in during our stay in Tuscany and considering we booked it at the last minute we had a very lucky find indeed! Alessandro the Proprietor was more than helpful and attentive, a charming man with excellent English . The room was superb, extrememeely clean, spacious and very very pretty. The food was to die for and we particularly liked the "Taste of Tuscany" evening which was arranged on our arrivval plus the the wine kept on flowing, all included in the price! Just wonderful. The hotel had a real feel of Tuscany and had soul in bucketfuls. Was very close to San Gimignano, about 5 minutes drive away. So all in all a superb little Tuscan gem. Highly recommended. Nothing not to like.
We liked the hospitality of the hotel as well as excellen dinners served by Alessandro - tipical Tuscan food and atmosphere.
Kind and flexible host. Large pool. Nice and calm place after having stayed in Firenze and Sienna. Good food. Couldnt find any method to regulate the aircon.
The host 'Alexandro' was very helpful and provided helpful information to us on what to do and see in the area. When he held a tuscan cuisine evening the food and wine was just fabulous - an unforgettable night. The setting was peaceful and also there was a very lovely pool. We had a very relaxing experience.
good location, close to amazing san gimignano and to other places in toscana. the pool is a bit shallow
