Discover one of the finest hotels in Santa Barbara. Built in 1931, this historic coastal hotel welcomes guests with its casual elegance and first-rate service. Nestled between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean, the hotel is conveniently located on oceanfront Cabrillo Boulevard in Santa Barbara, across from East Beach and a quick stroll away from the charming Santa Barbara Zoo.
Staff was excellent, made our stay special. Beautiful views of the ocean from our room/private terrace. Comfortable beds and maid service was great.
Must pay each day for parking ($28) in addition to hotel price. Street parking was hard to find at times at night. Unclear if water was filtered, must use tap as bottled water was not provided. Layout of buildings is a bit confusing.
The location and view of the ocean across the street is great.
Way overpriced for the mediocre room/facilities. You're paying for the ocean view and Santa Barbara. The bathroom was small and dirty - the toilet wasn't functioning properly and the shower had clumps of hair in it. The elevator jolted upon the doors closing and had an expired permit in it. The AC unit was very loud and mounted near the head of the bed - it was so loud we had to turn it off to sleep, and it was a hot/humid evening. Over $350/night and I had a 'view' of the motel 6 outside of my window. Overall disappointed.
