Very pleasant atmosphere; great breakfast; friendlyness of the staff.
Superb homemade breakfast with extensive range of homemade produce. Quite exceptional. Great location for visiting castles.
Great location, excellent breakfast, courteous and friendly environment in a beautiful part of Germany. Very well located for access to castles, spa, car and bike hire. We will visit again!
It was clean and the room large. The location is very average. The room looked out onto the neighbors clothes line. The proprietor uses many scents (perfumes) in the room and in the bedding. Not good for guests sensitive to perfumes. No internet access could be provided. The car parking area out the back was littered with dog poo. The breakfast was ok but cereal stale.
Nice and clean hotel, but wasn't what I expected (from the room description and pictures). I stayed disappointed cause the view on the Neuschwanstein Castle wasn't as expected (hidden from a fron building and a tree + very far).
Interior, good furniture, there is no smell of a smoke from cigarettes in premises(rooms) and on a balcony, absence of noise (silent hotel) Absence of a refrigerating case in a room
All in the hotel is very well balanced and you dont feel you are in hotel but in a house of a friend. Decoration, confort, breakfast... everything was very good. The best was the sense of relax, confort and quiet hapiness you feel in the hotel. With no doubt, the character of the hotel ownership is in every corner and she is really warm.
The view of the castles was excellent. The location was easy to find and get around from and the breakfast selection was exceptional considering it was the normal European continental - they even had eggs!!
Friendly staff, spoke English, able to advise on local restraunts
Good location and nice view. Breakfast is excellent There is no wireless internet and there is no cable for connecting through Lan
Cleanliness and size of the room. Late arrivals are problematic (night guard was not present at the time of arrival and speaks only German). No shampoo in the room.
very friendly atmosphere, the price I got was very low and the breakfast was really good
Very nice, modern hotel, but most of the guests are over 50's ;)
The room was more like an apartment - very spacious & a lovely balcony. Because we were only staying at the hotel for one night we were only told on arrival that this didn't permit us to use the swimming pools/spa facilities unless we paid 10 euros each for the privilege. Also we were sent a letter telling us we would be eligible for a 15% discount off our bill as work on the spa facilities etc were not complete - why the letter when it didn't affect us? We were not given a 15% discount on settling our account. The hotel was very big & impersonal. Breakfast was a free for all!
Very close to castles Neuschwanschtein and Hohenschwangau and close to Fuessen, but you need a car pleas note For such a high price relatively I was expecting Hair Drier, some tea/coffee facilities in the room and also an iron for ironing the clothes. So I guess it depends how much you get the hotel for.
Close proximity to Neuschwanstein/Hohenschwangau Castles. It was quiet and not too close to the busier, Fussen shopping tourist area but was only minutes away by car. The rooms were clean and spacious enough for a family with small children. A coffee maker, microwave, and iron would add the finishing touch of 21st century accomodations. Some of the services offered (Spa/Massage) and written about are not available on weekends. This might prompt some to stay at hotels with a more contemporary setting.
Hotel Konig Ludwig is in a very pleasant and quiet little town in Southern Bavaria. The castles are close by, as is dining and shopping in Fussen - about 2 miles away. Rooms are very clean and the facilities are beautiful - much more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. I could easily live here for an extended period. The staff - all of them - were helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my stay and will return. Pack shampoo, conditioner, hand cream, etc. None of these are provided in your room. Morning coffee will require a short walk to the hotel's dining area.
Nothing explicite NO Payment by Mastercard or Visa accepted, very low quality spa area for four star hotel
the view, very nice studio, a very good location, and the swiming pool the lady at the reception wasnt kind, she didnt treat us nice.
The view from our room was not great: was the best possible. The staff is also outstanding, they really go and buy the tickets and stuff you need with pleasure. The dinner at the hotel was very nice too.
this hotel is really close to the Castle. And when i woke up in the morning i can feel the clean air. And the hotel staff is so kind enough to have some help. I had the dinner in the hotel restaurant. and it was very good. I'd like to recommend this hotel to my colleagues or my friend.. But in the high season it can be quite difficult to make the booking. because of the good location.
Best hotel I have ever stayed at and I've been to multiple 5 star hotels in the US.
The beautiful location - the layout of the rooms - very large for International hotel - staff went above and beyond to ensure guests are all happy and have everything desired for a total experience
The hotel is extremally well located if you come to Hohenschwangau in order to visit The Castles. Very nice and helpful staff. Very nice and spaciuos rooms, some with the view on the castles.
Excellent location (near to the both castles Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein); excellent breakfast. Doesn´t have a frigobar in the room; heating system wasn´t very warm.
hotel and restaurant service was excellent didn't like is not the exect word, but the restaurant menue was quite limited and not all the food was very good.
Fabulous location, between two beautiful castles and the Alps!
Friendly staff and dawn beddings.
I liked the location, which was about 3 miles from the Castle with a beautiful view from the room. The room was was a little dated, but expected since the location was in the country. It was very comfortable and very spacious considering the average German Hotel. The hotel in general was very "homely" and the staff was incredible. The breakfast was amazing and delicious. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this Hotel to anyone. There was nothing particular that I didn't like about the hotel.
Staff's kindness - Nice building - Good location to then visit the castle - Fussen is at 2 minutes by car - Area/Region very nice to visit - Very convenient for us - Spacious, up-to-date, and very comfortable room - Everything super clean - Nice breakfast buffet - A very good value - We wished we could have stayed longer.
The hotel staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our rooms were on the ground floor which made access from the parking lot extremely easy. I was able to enjoy a whirlpool bath in the spa even though we arrived late at night and the facilities were getting ready to close. The food was incredible!!! We only stayed one night but would come back anytime to stay longer. The water pressure was a bit high in the shower but it didn't bother me.
friendly staff, excellent restaurant, excellent spa/sauna
Our room had a big balcony with castle view. The room was spacious and Internet worked fine and was free. The breakfast was the best one during our two weeks trip in Europe. Washing and drier only cost one euro each. The bathroom was a bit small but the shower door was modern and very cool design and the shower was very comfortable.
The location was perfect, the rooms were spacous and well decorated, the balcony was beautiful, food in restaurant was delicous, the staff was friendly and went out of their way to help, overall we felt that we received a real taste of Germany. No
Breakfast was very nice.
Great location, nice rooms, good restaurant
The hotel is very close to the train station; it has a wonderful wellness center. There was a long circuitous walk to my room and my room was over the courtyard which was noisy and smoky.
The Hotel was beautiful, staff were very friendly and the location was very good.
Everything, including the breakfast was great.
The location is very good and convenient, the staff was helpful and courteous. Please keep it up.
Friendly staff, cleanliness Our room was overlooking the train station which was noisy due to people (teenagers) hanging around
The staff. always a smile Is is a older hotel with nowadays prices. could be lowered
Central location, large comfortable room overlooking small square yet still quiet with an excellent breakfast and u/g parking. Not cheap.
Everything was almost perfect: staff is friendly and ready to help, location is perfect for people travelling without a car, room was spacious, no noise from outside, breakfast is good, etc.
meals, rooms and service are very good. There is a spa center in the hotel, but no pool one issue - the hotel is located across the railway station and there is a park behind the hotel where young people socialize till midnight and this is very noisy and annoying
The room was very big and was facing the mountains. The bathroom was brand new, big and clean. The hotel is close to the castle and the mountains, very handy. The staff didn't speak English. The food wasn't good.
It provided a perfect base for me to explore the nearby dream castles, the old town and other wonderful sceneries. Perfectly located in the town, only 1or 2 minutes from that small railway station where you arrive; the bus stop in the front of the railway station can provide you buses to castles. If you queue early enough for bus, it only takes you around 15 minutes to reach the tickets office to castles. A superstore is nearby, where I bought food and drinks with lowest prices I found in Germany. The room is quite good: clean simple, with all the basic necessities to help yourself, and the staffs are very friendly, with typical German breakfast, I found the price I pay was quite valued. This is no 'Haus Gabriel B&B' outside. Although the bakery is exactly like what you would see on their picture, I still spent some time to locate its address. As the first day I arrived there late, missed the check in time I had fixed with the staff, I found the bakery was closed, no one was there! It was only around 6 pm! I had to contact the staff through the telephone number they provided; I had to go to the nearby hotel to find a telephone to phone them. Fortunately, there was still an answer.
Haus Gabriel is a B&B service, you get what's advertised. It is a budget accommodation albeit slightly on the expensive side for the offer. The rooms were fitted with facilities; this somewhat compensated for lack of dedicated breakfast hall. The staff member we met was very helpful, spoke good English, advised us on local attractions and places to eat. The quality of renovations made leaves a bit to desire in order to bring this B&B up to the European standard. The rooms were advertised as double but were in fact twin. No credit cards accepted - but this is somewhat of a problem for the whole shopping and staying experience in Germany so was no surprise.
it is very convenient in terms of the location, close to the bus/railway station and old town. The room is simple and clean, it come with a small kitchen facilities which is very convenient, the bathroom is newly renovated too! The breakfast is from the bakery downstairs and it is very good. After all, it is a simple B&B, good enough if you are looking for something simple and money worth. The gentleman who lead you to the room is a very friendly and nice guy speaking very good English. the only problem was upon the arrival, as the bakery is simply a contact point, if you are lucky enough to arrive before it is closed, it will be better i think. We just happened to walk pass the bakery and when we returned, it was almost closed and we were waiting outside the bakery until the gentleman come pick us up in a cold and dark winter night.
Staff was nice.Location was perfect.Room was clean.I like here!! I wanted to pay by creditcard coz I am tourist so I didnt have much cash! But anyways,I like this B&B.
The location of this B&B is perfect for those visiting Fussen. For American visitors...the breakfast part of the B&B will not be a traditional American breakfast.
Location is good, just 5 mins walk fr fussen station.much cheaper than the adjacent hotels. But i think it cannot be regarded as a hotel. I guess the owner of the "hotel" owns several floors or rooms of the house and rent them out for tourist or for short term rental. The hotel checkin is supposed to be done at a cafe on the ground floor of the house, but the staff of the cafe are not quite helpful. When we arrived at 6pm while the cafe staff were closing their business, they refused to let us in and even ignored us. We need to go back to the station to make phone call to the house owner. ( i dont think the cafe owner n the hotel owner is the same person. i guess they hv a deal that the cafe just provides breakfast n checkin assistance). Then the owner brought us to the back of the house n walked along several stairs, which was quite dark, old n the setting was a bit terrible. But when we entered into the room, it was clean, bright, tidy n larger than I ever imagined. All in all, Inside the room was ok, n I just not felt quite comfortable with the setting of the corridor n the stairs. Btw, there is a supermarket near the hotel. We bought some fruits n drinks at v reasonable prices.
Location is good.....near to train station. . The hotel should have a elevator, as we had to climb to the 3rd level with our luggage
location is nearby the station , staff (owner) is nice and room is clean
There was nothing redeming about this hotel We had to wait 20 minutes in the bakery for someone to show up to allow us to check in. Once in the "Bed and Breakfast" there are lights hanging from the ceiling, there are old mattresses in the hallway, the door to the bathroom doesn't close, the sweetly leave you the cleaning products so that you can clean the bathroom yourself, the tv doesn't work, and the room smells like old cigarettes. My favorite part of the experience was when he asked for cash as soon as we arrived (not at the end of the stay), and then added "fees" to the confirmed total, and finally asked us to take the paperwork for him to the tourist office. All of this is capped off with your breakfast - which to get you have to walk down four flights of stairs, knock on a door, wait for them to give you the food (2 pieces of bread, and some meat) and then walk back up the four flights of stairs to your room.
nothing else than a good breakfast buffet the room was not the one showed when I made the reservation. I asked for a large room with castle view, and yes there was castle view, but the room was very, very small. It was clean when I arrived but the day after they did not even make the bed. I had a hard time to connect to internet and nobody helped.
Hotel staff was wonderful... Breakfast was ample and delicious. Our last night there, we were in the bar/restaurant and failed to notice the kitchen had closed before we could order dessert, the chef and staff took our order and made us wonderful crepes & apple strudel. Now that's service.
Best service, best facilities Location may not suit to backpackers cause no bus service in night.
Very friendly personnel in particular the owner. The breakfast was good with a lot of variants in food even though no scrambled eggs or bacon; also no Nutella. The rooms are clean but rather small. The height in the rooms was low, less than 2 meters which made showers for tall persons a little difficult. On Wed and Thursday is Ruhetag with no service in the hotel restaurant except for breakfast.
Owners and staff were helpful and charming, room was attractive and comfortable, location was convenient (in lovely quiet town) but best of all, the hotel's own restaurant was really good, and once we discovered this, we ate our dinners there. Breakfast (included with room) was generous, varied and tasty.
Location to places we wanted to visit.
This was a really comfortable inn which represented excellent value for money in an area that in swamped by tourists! The staff were accommodating, the breakfast excellent and the rooms more than satisfactory. Our bathroom was small but efficient, our friend who was travelling with us had a good sized bathroom. This was terrific value for money and right in the heart of the village 9the cows at the next door farm , which was also in the heart of the village (!), walked to pasture every morning.
The beautiful hotel and it's surroundings. I didn´t think that the towels smelled fresh but they were certainly ok and this didn't bother me.
Friendly staff and good food
Beautiful hotel in quiet and peaceful surroundings. Big nicely furnished rooms with terraces, good breakfast selection. Very attentive staff, one of us had an injury and they helped a lot. Also we had an early check-out and they arranged breakfast for us at 7am instead of 8am. The area is not as touristic as near the castles. All in all, great value for money.
Nice situation. Very pleasant welcome/service from manager and staff. Good food for breakfast and evening meal
Friendly Staff, and spacious buffet restaurant and room. Please meet the deadline for Check-in Time ! I was 20 minutes late with execuse for the reception, and all has gone. I should find out another hotel at midnight for the first day stay.
Very good location to visit the castles, nice staff
The room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good location to downtown and train station. The beds were too hard for our tastes. The bathtubs were too narrow for standing in to shower.
The staff was absolutely delightful! Friendly and enthusiastic service. We will make a point to return here on future visits!
Efficient, friendly typically German. Nice quiet location, excellent dinner and breakfast, stunning views.
the room was great, the dinner was top class and very reasonable priced. Breakfast one of the best on our trip.
Breakfast buffet was very nice...lots of variety Parking was a little limited
The junior suite was perfect for two adults and two small children (lots of room for the kids to run around).
the size of the suite
The hotel was oozing character and a perfect location to visit the Castles of Neuschwantstein and Hohenschwangau. The room could have been a little cleaner, but it wouldn't stop us from staying there again. Unfortunately the restaurant closed at 6pm and so we had to eat elsewhere in the evening.
Wonderful view, beautiful and large room, satellite television, excellent access to castle
Easy to get to Neuschweinstein castle by not having to walk up the hill. Room with a bathroom is actually a shower cubicle in the room itself next to the bed. Toilet is in a cupboard, and the toilet didn't flush properly!!!!
Staff very friendly and the hotel has a great location near the castle. The staff will pick you up at the bus stop at bottom of the hill if you make arrangements as the walk up the hill is very far especially if you have luggage. The restraunt had very good food and a good selection of beer and wine. None
location restoran closed since 17.00
Beautiful location right under castle, gorgeous hotel and comfortable rooms. excellent food and value for money. should have stayed longer
It was in a beautiful place and we found it fun to walk through the forest to it... only 15 minutes.
This was an almost perfect hotel for touring this area of Germany. It was peaceful, charming, and picturesque. The rooms were very clean, quite comfortable and perfectly adequate.
Wonderful location. Recommend that you have a car, otherwise would be a long walk from the train station. Location is perfect for visiting the castle. A little inconvenience with driving up the lonnnggg hill that everyone has to climb to get to the castle, can be crowded and makes it hard to drive up/down road, but we left early and didn't return until nightfall to avoid the "hill climbers". The castle is so close you can almost touch it! Room was beautiful, and peaceful in the evening. Restaurant had good food too.
friendly, helpfull staff rooms somewhat spartan, ok if one just sleeps there
Maybe at the first sight, I love the surrounding with the trees and flowers, the location is in the middle of station and castle. But the household, the old woman is too cool ,didn't want to answer any questions, even a word! And when we want to dail back home, she is kind to help us ,but later, 2 calls only 1minutes more, not reach 2 minutes, she get all the rest coins, about 5 euros. too greedy, she made the fussen a bad mood for us, and we strongly tell you, don't to live there!!!!
Close to the castles we visited, good restaurant, friendly staff but some were limited on English No hairdryer in the room
Location was fantastic. Family run so staff were excellent. Restaurant had good selection, relatively cheap and very tasty food. Breakfast was great - more than just a continental. We changed to 2 double rooms right next to each other rather than quad - suited us better. Rooms are basic - no hairdryer, minibar etc but everything is available through reception so not really an issue.
Excellent breakfast The bedrooms need to be updated a little
Very friendly hosts, good location
The rooms were comfortable and the hotel had a nice, warm family feeling to it. The food was spot on and the location couldn't have been better. No
Excellent staff, good breakfast, clean facilities and pleasant area make this hotel a reasonable choice when looking for a 3 star hotel. The addition of an English tv channel and perhaps a bar fridge would be worthwhile improvements. Also the hotel and Booking.com were extremely helpful and accommodating when we asked to modify our booking to 2 nights instead of 3 although it was outside the conditions of booking. Booking.com is the site to use for all bookings !
The staff was very professional and nice, especially with a language barrier. The food was phenomenal, offering a continental breakfast with your room and an onsite restaurant for dinner. As a single woman, I felt very safe and secure staying here. And most important, the hotel is only a mile or so from the ticket center for Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles.
The stuff is so friendly, food is excellent, and the view to the castle Hohenschwangau is incredible. I felt like I was staying at friends and not in a hotel. Incredibly comfortable hotel.
Location Front day was not manned when we arrived to leave our luggage to sightsee. Had to time our departure around the time the desk was open so we could store our bags while we went sightseeing.
Great location. Loved having two bedrooms. No elevator. Parking was very expensive. Breakfast should come with the room but we found a great breakfast place down the street.
Attitude of dining room staff and the quality of the dinners served. The room was large and had a pleasnt outlook. It was extremely quiet at night. Internet facilties very limited - just one outlet and it is not wireless. This could be a problem when the hotel is full.
The rooms are wonderful, try to get a room with a balcony. Nothing, no complaints at all.
beautiful hotel nothing
The price was very reasonable for the quality of the room. We had a very large family room which had one separated bedroom. Very convenient for our children (10, 12).
The town was quiet and mostly residential, interestint to be among local people. The people running the hotel were very efficient, however a bit cold. It would make the stay more pleasant if they had been friendlier.
Very clean, charming within walking distance of a great spa (therme)
Very relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel. Excellent restaurant for dinner and the breakfast was outstanding. Very comfortable family run hotel yet very professional.
courteous service, good dining facility and menu
two bedroom appt wass spacious, clean and comfortable. internet in lobby. great breakfast and great location. few minutes drive to castles. staff was very helpful and friendly. beautiful location. THe rate information for extra guests could be more clearly spelled out as our family ( two young kids) were travelling with a couple and it was not very clear waht if any charges were going to be for the extra persons.be mindful of little flies in surrounding and if leave room windows open at night
the family apartment was perfect, it's a very lovely place to stay,
Excellent experience. Great rooms and the restaurant was very good. Very close to castles. On edge of town so feels open and like being in the country. Highly recommend this hotel.
I e-mailed when booking that I was sharing with my mother-in-law and they thoughtfully made up a pull out sofa so we didn't have to share! Great play area for toddlers and very family friendly.
Great breakfast, pleasant roomy accommodation, helpful staff. Very happy with this hotel Hotel is located on edge of town which would necessitate use of car to access town if weather was poor
The staff were very friendly & helpful & the location was stunning.
Hotel was super, rooms, staff, breakfast and meals. This hotel has everything you would want for a break or longer holiday. The views of the snow cap mountians was to die for. Liked everything about it.
it is the best hotel I ever booked here. the breakfast is great and you can walk to the castles or easely get a bus no frigobar
My stay in the hotel was excellent and I liked everything from the appartment to the breakfast variety and the good food in the resturant. I am a frequent traveller and I went in many hotels around Europe but I think the Helmerhof is one of the best I stayed in. No.
Friendly staff and welcome - great restaurant - very interesting hotel with much history - we only stayed one night as we were on our way to Italy by motorcycle, but would definately return for a longer stay.
Very pleasant. The hotel and the room are very nice
Great Hotel. The Staff and Service were excellent. The food was excellent, The location was perfect for our vacation through Germany and Austria, The setting was quaint, beautiful and relaxing. The cost was very reasonable and well worth it. They did a great job,
Our room was very spacious with a small refregerator. We have wonderful view to the mountains and also to the meadow. The dinner was very tasty and they have menu written in English. The breakfast was excellent. All the staff was very helpful and spoke english. It´s very good starting point to do cycling and hiking,as well to visit the castles. The dinner is served only until 20:30, and also if you are planning to check in later then 18h you have to announced before.
The restaurant gave good service and great food. They advertised as providing WiFi services. However, when we tried to use our computer, we could not. They claimed there was no problem but we were not given a password to connect to the internet. This caused us much concern. We did not have this problem at another hotel in the same region or in any other hotel in Germany.
Beautiful village location, tasteful rustic charming building. Large rooms and excellent facilities. Good food too!
everything was excellent ,location, room, breakfast was huge set in the valley near castle cant wait to return
Very pleasantly situated in the plains below the castles, with a fun walk amongst the cows and the lake almost immediately outside the door. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh brown/wholewheat breads, ham, cheese, yoghurts, fruit, eggs.. Very healthy and filling! We were travelling with young children and it helped our peace of mind that we were given 2 rooms at the far end of the corridor so that they didn't disturb other guests when they woke up during the night. Not really their fault, but note that the restaurant is typically Bavarian - you'd be hard pressed to find a dish that has some sort of vegetables coming with it. The children's menu had no vegetables at all, so a green side salad had to be ordered alongside for the children to get a dose of vitamins. Also, I did not locate the free wifi in the public areas - I didn't ask, though.
The comfort of the premises. We also very much appreciated the quietness and being close tolocal people. The WiFi connection was only available in the lobby section and no power outlet available for us to plug in the laptop. When the battery went out that was it.
great view of castle and mountains road to hotel is not easy to find
GOOD and clean hotel but a little bit too expansive
This guest house was within walking distance to castles. Beds were comfortable. The cows at the adjacent farm were cute. Although the rooms were smoke free; as we entered the lobby area at anytime it reeked of cigarettes. The shower did not drain properly.
The hotel was very comfortable.
the staff is a family and they are very nice persons, good breakfast, excelent localization and very good prices, we strongly recomend this hotel nothing
Size of the room, terrace The douche was samall
The Restaurant had excellent German food. Breakfast was a good german style breakfast. The rooms I rented where large, I expected to be smaller, I was supriced. The location was in walking distance to the castles. I got some objections from the Kids about it.
It's a cosy place with comfortable rooms and beautiful view to the castle. The staff is very kind and helpful, giving also good hints for the places to visit.
Beautiful view of the mountains - if they were not hidden behind rain clouds; good restaurant in hotel. Extra charge for use of TV, luckily not charged in our case because of bad weather... Non-smoking signs in lounche but most of the time quite smokey (hotel staff smoked?).
Beautiful location and perfect for walking and hiking. A minor detail, but this hotel was next to a small field of bulls wearing bells. It was great fun to watch them romp around the field.
I thought the location was convenient to the town of Fussen and the castles. The hotel was very cute and the room had a little balcony which was a nice surprise. The free breakfast in the morning was great!
Cheap and nice service none
buffet breakfast was rather poor, no wide choice, hotel close to busy street so even with the room on the other side of corridor we could hear cars at night
What I liked the most was the location in a nice a quite village and very near to the Neuschwanstein castle. Good relation quality vs price. Check-in time restriction.
close to sightseeing spot and hotel staff helpfull and provide discout coupon for sightseeing.
The breakfast was the best thing about Hotel Schwangauer Hof. The town the hotel is located in was completely shut down by 8pm, so being that we didn't get a chance to eat dinner it was nice to have a buffet in the morning. When we arrived at 8pm we were greeted by a letter on the front door of the hotel. We then were forced to walk about 2 miles in the dark with our luggage to another hotel that was holding our room key. I am not sure why they couldn't give the key to the hotel next door, or leave a number for a cab so that we didn't have to walk, but either way they were not accommodating. Thankfully it was only about 4 degrees out and not raining, so the walk could have been worse, but not by much. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
comfy beds and a bath very grumpy that we turned up before 3...
The people were nice and it was quite close to Hohenschwangau and the village itself.
Location Noone is at reception between 11:00~15 :00, we were blocked outside HL,it's too bad..
The location of the hotel was a close drive to our attractions and the continental breakfast was good in a clean dining area. The price was low and there was no charge for our two young children The room had a very musty smell so I had to leave the balcony door open all night. Because the hotel is on a busy road the road traffic seemed to echo into the room. The hot water takes between 3 and 4 minutes to come through the pipes
Beautiful setting outside of Fussen on a hill above a lake. Room nice size, clean. Quiet - great for walking and biking. Fun Irish pub with good food run by hotel owners in basement. Infrequent bus service to hotel area. We took taxi from train to hotel (11 each way) and to castle (22 each way)
The view and location where nice. The hotel has a little car park. Of course you can park in front of the hotel if its a quit day.
Perfect quiet location with south-facing views across Hopfensee, undisturbed by small village road running between hotel and lake; private family-run hotel with individual character and efficient and friendly service; beautifully appointed, spacious and comfortable bedroom in unfussy modern style; pleasant walks right from the door, with start of mountain trails within a short drive (we picked up excellent free walking map at brand new tourist office a few steps away).
Very relaxing atmosphere; delightful balcony; good food; welcoming and pleasant staff; close to sights in area.
excellent staff - very friendly. Room was fantastic with an amazing view of the lake. Breakfast was also plentiful with lots of variety and very tasty would have liked to have air conditioning as it gets very hot during the day and the room gets stuffy
The staff were very attentive and because I had booked for two nights, had upgraded the room to a front view of the lake. Fantastic. Nothing at all
I enjoyed every minute No
Super accommodation, friendly and efficient staff, good value for money No
Beautiful scenery, lovely room, pleasant staff, delicous food. would have been nicer to have a double bed instead of two singles stuck together with individual duvets.
the best location ever!the room was lovely and everything from the breakfast to our room was great and luxurious!perfect 10 from us!!!
location, family atmosphere, good food noises from neighbouring room due to thin walls
