Cons: We could not open the windows in the room, not sure they could be opened. We forgot to ask the staff if the windows can be opened, because there was no feeling of suffocation ... So we forgot about it.

Pros: Traveling solo I was looking for a bargain knowing most of y time would be spent touring. I got a bargain, but you get what you pay for. The room was fine, but was in the basement. Every time a nearby door closed, it slammed and was distinctly audible. The walls overall are paper thin, don't expect to have a private conversation. Breakfast was included and was more than satisfactory. The staff is also very nice and helpful. I think this is a great hotel if you're not traveling on a budget. From what I've seen the rooms in "first class" upstairs look lovely.

Cons: 1. The beds were extremely soft which is not good for the back. 2. The air conditioning was weak. At least we were lucky because the outside temperature wasn't very high. 3. The exterior of the bathroom consists of a wooden door and the rest half of glass. The glass part can be covered only with the semi transparent curtain so the person in the bedroom can see the person in the bathroom. 4. The window and the door of the balcony were dirty. 5. The fridge was too small and weak. 6. Not very pleased with the variety of the breakfast.

Cons: The air con in my room wasn’t working. On pointing this to the staff j found a little portable air cooler in the room. It worked... just. But I would have preferred and thought they would transfer me to another room, with air con, even if it did mean an upgrade. This was during 3 days of 30+ C temperatures. The room just wasn’t cool enough to sleep without sweating I known the temperatures were not normal but air con should just work. Period!

Cons: Stockholm is probably not famous for hot summers, but we were lucky to have 30 celsius degrees outside which led to warm evenings and we therefore had to sleep with open windows. As the hotel is very good located, we heard the party and people outside the whole night, causing us troubles to sleep, but this wouldn't happen with closed windows - which is the case in 99% of the year.

The only thing is that you need to be prepared that you won't get any classic scrambled eggs with bacon or sausages for breakfast, there were no hot porridge as well. On the other hand there were a good variety of other high quality food, so no worries that you'll remain hungry or won't find anything for your taste.

It had a comfortable and welcoming lobby, bar and restaurant area where we could visit with friends and chat with other travelers. The lobby and other common areas are attractively decorated. The breakfast offerings were extensive and the hours it was offered were convenient for us somewhat late sleepers. There were many other restaurants within close proximity to the hotel, although some were closed during July, the vacation month, and a grocery store and Department store were also very close to the property. The room was small, as are many in Europe, but adequate and the bed was comfortable and good sized.

I was visiting from USA and really felt that rudeness from your staff in their tone and facial expressions. So if you want to cater your hotel for different cultures then learn to be polite. So a properly training is needed to all the front-desk staff from all shifts. Thank you!

Pros: Don’t be fooled by people complaining about the location;) The hostel is located only one stop away from the harbour where you can take a ferry trip to the city or to a neighboring island. There are also two buses that will get you to the city centre and a subway station. If you prefer to walk, there’s a nice path leading down to Djurgården. The friendly staff made me feel welcome and was happy to answer all my questions. There’s a spacious kitchen with microwaves and a refrigerator available for guests. The room itself was clean and equipped with a TV (which I actually never turned on). Overall, my stay was pleasant and I will definitely consider the STF Gärdet Hotel & Hostel if I’m ever back to Stockholm.

Cons: I can honestly say that the room I stayed in was claustrophobic. I, myself, don’t mind cramped spaces but for some it might be a dealbreaker. The window, located right above the bed, enables people from the outside to peek through it directly into the room. If that bothers you, closed blinds are essential. My window opened only a little, therefore ventilation was somewhat challenging. Mind that the hostel does not provide any toiletries. Despite that, I believe the upsides outnumber the minuses therefore, I can easily recommend this facility:)

Cons: It wasn't a problem for us, but it's worth noting that maid service is available only on request. We did help ourselves to clean towels from the cleaning cart after a couple of days. And I don't know if this is what's expected in Swedish hotels but the towels are thin and rough - again, not really a problem but if thick fluffy towels is your idea of a dream hotel experience, this is not for you. Also - I did have lunch in the restaurant during the marathon and it was pretty bad. It was served so quickly that I assume it was just warmed up in the kitchen before serving but a reheated hamburger and cold fries was a blot on an otherwise very good hotel experience.

Pros: A lovely hotel in a very quiet street. They have a quiet terrace in the inner yard where you can take a cup of coffee. The closest metro station is only 5 minutes away. The central harbor is about 15 minutes away by foot. And there is a charming pub near the hotel.
Cons: The bed was too soft, so you can barely sleep on your side.

Pros: The Hotel is very cosy! The breakfast is great! The location is very good: very near to the museums and to the Metro. There are always some fruts and cookies at the reception and it is for free. That's really great!
Cons: During the summer it is kind of hot in the room, but I didn't have much problem with that. It's not too hot. Just a little bit.

Pros: People are very friendly and helpful. Room is good and bright, and clean. Breakfasts are very good! The hotel near to the metro and buses and everything - it takes 15 mins "from door to door" from hotel to vasa.
