10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was spotless and comfortable. Lovely breakfast
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owner. Comfortable, cosy and nice property. Good breakfast.
7.9 Good
Pros: Although just off a main road, there is ample parking within the driveway, so no need to reserve a spot. Room was clean and bright and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast included with room was really good - definitely just cooked, tasty full English, with cereals, fruit (tinned and fresh), yoghurts, and lovely toast. Liked tea/coffee being available in room, with jug of fresh milk available in guest conservatory. Chose to stay here because of its previous great reviews and it was close to Tatton Park where we were going for an early morning Segway experience (highly recommended). Would stay again.
Cons: Had 'king' room but it was not spacious. Bed was king-sized, but room felt like only a double. Ensuite bathroom (toilet, small basin, corner shower) was cramped - would not suit a larger person at all. Sound-proofing not great. We were able to hear people in other rooms having conversations which made us very self-conscious to the point of whispering rather than speaking in a normal voice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hinton Guest House is a little treasure of a B&B. It was extremely clean, the bed was comfortable and the room had everything needed for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good and Ann was very welcoming and friendly. Great value for money and a very nice location. We went to Alderley Edge for dinner in the evening and there are plenty of places to eat or drink
Cons: Nothing really. We only stayed overnight and everything was very comfortable and the cleanliness of the room was exceptional
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Pleased to find that there were simple bar facilities Would appreciated knowing in advance that an evening meal could have been provided
Cons: The noise from the airport planes taking off and landing was a litle off-putting
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable well equipped bedroom. It had everything you could possibly need. Large car park - good breakfast.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner of The Hinton Guest House was super I requested an early check in and this was immediately arranged. The staff were lovely and the location ideal for my overnight stay. The room was comfortable and the owner had thought of everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Great breakfast and facilities if I am in the area again I would definitely rebook and recommend this B+B!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Nice to have a lounge, conservatory and place in the garden where you can relax, work and socialise as you wish Great great, great staff, lovely food, stunning garden, plenty of parking, quiet area. Highly recommended place to anyone whether business or leisure.
Cons: Access to the kitchen is restricted and no sign or barrier prevents you from going there. Also, you are not allowed to eat or drink in your room apart from the tea and coffee provided. Although that is perfectly understandable, it can be annoying for someone who likes snacking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean , excellent fixtures and fittings
7.5 Good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful and only a 10 minute walk from Dunham Massey Hall. There is a gorgeous pub right next door so perfect for a drink or food. The breakfast was delicious and the menu options were plentiful and tasty. I had Shakshuka and my partner had Eggs Royale. You could also choose a full English, vegetarian among many other dishes. There was lots of fruit and cereal and juices. Our bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely and clean. There were also bath robes in the wardrobe which was a nice touch. For those sherry lovers, there were two glasses and a decanter of sherry in the room too! David, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay here. I would definitely recommend Ash Farm and we will return!
Cons: Our room was a bit hot when we first arrived but there are lovely big windows which let in plenty of air so it wasn't an issue for us.

The Cottage - Knutsford - Building
3
9.5 Excellent (304 reviews)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean, comfortable rooms. Bed was also very comfortable. Lovely breakfast and super friendly staff
Cons: Nothing- my husband will probably book next year for the seminar! Can highly recommend!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the initial telephone conversation I had, prior to booking, the host was exceptionally friendly and helpful. As we were attending a family wedding, nothing was too much trouble from arranging taxis, to extending our stay at a later date. Breakfast was a delightful experience, and we felt very relaxed and 'looked after', despite our (late) timing. There was no pressure to order, or finish our meal, also the quality of our cooked breakfast and the choice of cereals (including gluten-free, which was very important to one party member), were also excellent. We almost felt like members of the hosts family!!! (Interested in all of us without being intrusive, genuine friendliness which at no time felt like 'social, small talk with a customer', which we often find as we all travel extensively and have stayed in many establishments). Would have no hesitation at all in returning or in recommending The Cottage and its hosts. Thank you for making our stay very special.
Cons: All our rooms had been newly decorated and upgraded and it is clear the hosts are spending money on this. We are sure there are plans to continue this improvement in the coming months, but our only very slight 'beef' was that the bathrooms are in need of a facelift, but maybe, as a temporary measure, the basin taps could do with replacing. We all had to get up in the middle of the night to try to tighten them to stop the constant drip, but they were very difficult to turn.... Sorry, we don't like to fuss, and it is a small thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was exactly what I require, cooked breakfast hot and tasty.
Cons: Fresh milk in the rood for my tea.
8.3 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, gave us all the information required and pointed us in the direction of good restaurants. They were also very good about our little dog, who was only 9 month sold and a little wimpey when we left him to have breakfast, we were given sausages to take back to him which sorted out the situation
Cons: nothing it was all very good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed here with my husband, teenager son, and 5 year old. We stayed in a family room. We found the guesthouse to be absolutely perfect for our needs. It's clean, comfy, with a delicious breakfast included and lovely, helpful hosts. The location was perfect to visit Alton Towers, as it's only a 15/20 minute drive. Being a third of the cost of the Alton Towers hotels was a bonus too.
Cons: This is just me being pinickity, but my bed was a little too hard for my liking. However using the duvet from the spare bed to lay on was fine.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: The skylight window let a lot of light in early morning - a facility for drawing over a darker blind would give a few more hours sleep. Otherwise very good.

Pros: Clean, quiet, good value stay for an airport transfer. I booked last minute due to a missed flight and it was no problem. I received a warm welcome and was happy to stay here for the night. My room came with a mini fridge and it’s own bathroom/shower. There is also a small store a 5 minute walk away which was nice for buying a quick dinner. I would stay here again should I need a nice convenient location to Manchester airport. Note that an Uber costs approximately £13 from this location.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb as ever, clean, friendly and fantastic price. Always stay here for an early flight. Back in a few weeks thank you!
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was immaculate. Very well prepared and beds soooo comfortable.
Cons: Booked the room the night before our flight to Florida with the family. We appeared to arrive as the owner was eating his dinner and as to be expected it was more of a thrown in than a book in. Whilst getting ready to go in the morning , following a shower one of the kids used deodorant in the bathroom. When they opened the door it set off the smoke detector. The same chap that threw us into the room , then admonished us , telling us that we should have evacuated the building. Perhaps position the smoke detector away from the bathroom. It’s unlikely the wettest area will ignite !
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Ample Parking. friendly and helpful staff. My single bed had Ensuite. Had tea making capability.
Cons: Breakfast was not even an additional option. But to be fair there were places around.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautifully arranged and all that was needed was there - water, tea, coffee. The free parking on site is a big bonus and it is 6 minutes from the car hire return. Check-in was easy and Diane came and asked if we needed anything.
Cons: The room could do with a little more ventilation without having to open a big window as it got a bit close during the night.

Cons: No faults.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The write up was accurate, yes ceilings were low, stairs narrow, floor wonkey, I'm 6'4' and had a smashing time, (no pun intended) booking, gaining access all went wonderfully.
Cons: If there was one thing to improve facilities it would be a sink downstairs (camelot suite) unless we missed it.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location, friendly host, quirkiness,
Cons: Was advertised as a luxury five star accommodation but afraid I couldn’t rate it as this. No on-site parking, breakfast. The mattress was uncomfortable. There was also a distinct smell of damp throughout the property. It’s certainly unique and has some good features but overall did not consider it either five star nor value for money I’m afraid

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The old world charm and decor. Comfort. Location. Accessibility. Staff top class. Superb breakfast.
Cons: I could only stay one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are lovely and the location was great as we were breaking our journey halfway from Wales to Yorkshire. It was peaceful and quiet most of the time tho proximity to the airport made for a bit of aircraft noise in daytime hours. We have stayed before and hadnt noticed this in a different room. Breakfast is a very very good one. Nicely cooked and everything I like to eat. Every other room except ours, was as we remembered, lovely, clean, warm, well decorated and very pleasant. It was only one night so not bad.
Cons: The room we had was disappointingly grubby looking and looked tatty. It was clean enough in one way but they obviously chucked a tin of pale peach paint all over it for hopefully just now, woodwork, walls, everywhere. The curtains were thin and let all the early light in. The dresser was broken and coming away from its legs. I did mention it to our hosts. I would stop here again tho and try not to get this room but if I had a young family I would probably be glad of this room as the beds are clean and comfy, 1 double and 2 singles in plenty of room with a good shower and toilet. It was nice and warm too.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Super, the options were great, all elements were well presented and the service was efficient and courteous. I could not have asked for more.

Pros: The staff where very friendly, Liam was a dream he checked us in, seated us for dinner and greeted us at breakfast! He is a superstar, we received amazing customer service from all staff. Room was amazing, Dinner fantastic and breakfast was very yummy! It’s a very fancy posh hotel, we aren’t posh but still felt so welcome. And the Breakfast chef has the coolest moustache! The first hotel in our honeymoon tour, which started it off amazing thank you.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location & good restaurant
Cons: Breakfast was very slow and as we were going to the Airport we ended up rushing, in my view breakfast should be served from 7am onwards
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quirky, unusual
Cons: The arrangement of the room with semi-open plan shower/toilet
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the outside Oddfellows On The Park appears to be a lovely old manor house. On the inside though it is full of the strangest decorations we've ever seen. It is ultra modern with chrome, and new-fangled everything. / Our lunch (a club sandwich) on the terrace was very good. The tea trays passing by looked scrumptious. / The park setting is lovely and the playground seemed to be great for kids.
Cons: We didn't like the fact that the shower and the toilet were constructed of peek-a-boo glass. They offered very little privacy (visually and auditory). / We had to keep our shades shut - as our room was on the ground floor and anyone could look in.
6.3 Good
Pros: Beautiful room and lovely view of trees!!! Great bath tub. Super comfy bed! Good shower. Nice floor. Very clean! Beautiful side tables. Peaceful.
Cons: We wanted to use the salon. It existed at the time of booking. It no longer exists. Our compensation for no salon was two glasses of fizz at 2am. Breakfast was £20 per person. We had already paid £350/night. A PLAIN NO-BRAND TOOTHBRUSH WAS £3. Which must be a margin of 98% for the hotel. Right?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean Helpful, friendly staff Brilliant location Beautiful rooms Easy check in and check out Fantastic food and drink selection
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful. It looked newly decorated but has the cosiness that newer rooms sometimes lack. I thought it was very expensive on booking and sometimes I expect to be disappointed when paying so much because my expectations are higher than usual but the room exceeded my expectations. I loved that the lights were lit and music playing in our room upon arrival and it was beautifully decorated.
Cons: The breakfast did seem a tad pricey so we ended up skipping breakfast and having it in the park instead but I did feel like I had missed out by not having breakfast at the hotel so it would have been nice if there was a discount on breakfast for hotel guests.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Reception staff made extra effort with our room when they found out it was our wedding night.
Cons: Attic room has a lot of stairs. Heavily pregnant wife struggled a little. A lift would have been nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, staff is lovely and location is in the middle of a beautiful park! Everything was amazing!
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a lovely location and is beautifully finished and the staff are very attentive and very professional so had high expectations from this 5 star establishment.
Cons: The evening food in the restaurant was average and I have had better food in a chain pub/restaurant, this was redeemed slightly with a wonderful breakfast apart from the dirty cups and chipped cereal bowels! The bedroom was beautiful apart from the air-conditioning which didn’t cool the boiling hot room and the fact that after dark they had positioned the wi-fi rooter in the centre of the ceiling above the bed and this had a green light on it which lit the room up !!! I don’t expect this in 5 Star Luxury and so overall the experience was disappointing

8.2 Excellent
Pros: The dinner was amazing and the breakfast options were also great. The staff were fantastic start to finish.
Cons: Our room had a very creaky floor and the walls were so thin I got woken up by someone snoring in the room above us. You could here people walk quietly through the halls, let alone if they were speaking to one another.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was comfortable and clean. The bar and restaurant were good.
Cons: We had a room on the ground floor by the staff parking which meant we were woken early when they arrived for their shift and seemed intent on talking loudly right outside our window.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was boutique style and cosy, the building was stunning and the food in the evening was exceptional.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit of a let down. My partners omelette was tasteless and my poached eggs may as well have been hard boiled. The location was just too far away from local pubs, restaurants and train station to be able to walk.

Pros: The hotel was good value for money and good evening meal& breakfast. The room was comfortable & spotless great staff made you welcombe.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything else!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: A lovely hotel. Food was good value too. Very nice bedrooms and good location. Maybe consider offering a newspaper service for customers to order to their rooms?
Cons: A little disappointed as white wine was not at all chilled maybe as there was a wedding on and the hotel was very busy. Also we had a long wait after finishing the main dinner course before anyone appeared to clear our plates and offer the dessert menu. There were only 2 tables occupied in the restaurant. Just an awareness thing.
