cleanliness, real confort of the room, close to Galveston that is possible to reach in ten minutes.Stores near the hotel
Because we booked with a 3rd party, they put a $100 security charge on our cc. It was refunded the next day, but what could they possibly need $100 for--no restaurant on site, internet was free, breakfast was free, free parking. If we hadn't used 3rd party, it would only be a $25 charge. Additionally, they made a Xerox copy of my DL and credit card. If they ran a security deposit, what would they possibly need a copy for? They had already received their payment through the 3rd party.
The rooms where clean and the hotel staff was nice and informative of the area. It is 15 mins from the beach and has a great price.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nice. Breakfast was a good variety. There was nothing that we didn't like.
I enjoyed the free breakfast and jacuzzi there was no water for the first couple of hours once we arrived which cause me to have to attend a meeting with no shower and not even being able to freshen up. the coffee pot was dirty and replaced with one that was just as dirty. also the phone in our room did not work
The hotel had over booked and our confirmation number was not sent. We had no knowledge of the missing number and were redirected to another hotel down the road with Booking.com
The staff was friendly and accommodating even though it was after 10:00pm when we checked in. Our reservation was found immediately. We felt welcome when we checked in. The location was great and very close to Galveston-- only a 10-15 minute drive. The beds were so comfortable and got a couple of good nights sleep. Plenty of fast food options close by. The bathroom was in dire need of updating. It worked for the small amount of time we were there. The room was clean but needs to be updated as well.
There was nothing. No phone in room. TV did not. Even though after 3 hours they changed out one.
The size of the room was open and relaxing I would have liked some kind of a breakfast
The girl at the front desk went above and beyond to help me have a comfortable stay. She was awesomeb Freeway noise
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Heat did not work in the room, had to transfer to another room down the hall
It was convenient to interstate; the room was spacious, inviting & clean. Bed was comfortable. I liked having the full size fridge, ice maker, stovetop & microwave in the room. Made meals easy! Staff helpful. Laundry free so bring detergent! Great value! It was a little hard to find - our GPS took us the wrong way. I suggest calling the hotel for directions first. They were very helpful.
Generally, the staff, location, and room met my expectations. I can't think of anything.
I loved that it was super close to HEB and that there was unlimited free coffee!! Across our non-smoking room was a smoking room, so the hallway smelled of pure cigarette.
Extremely high end resort at a price the most people can afford.
Loved the pool area and food! Very concerned with the overall safety of the hotel. During our stay, someone was able to gain access to our hotel room at 5:30am in the morning. We caught the individual off guard by waking up, and immediately called the hotel staff. After calling twice, our call was finally answered and we received a vague response. We inquired around the issue upon check-out, but received no information. The hotel was lovely, but I do not know if I can recommend the San Luis after this disregard for client's safety.
I like how everything was close by and loved how they were able to quickly change my room The long wait to talk to someone at the front desk every time.
Overall this was a very nice hotel. We stayed on the 16th floor which is considered their VIP floor. It was nicer then the others. Party of the resort is made up of condos which makes the hotel appear bigger then it is. The food at the bistro was amazing. HUGE portions! The room service was ok. Not the most friendly staff. The pool was really nice, heated and lit. Great swim up bar. The staff at the front desk were not the friendliest. Very short and easily irritated. There is a resort tax/fee on almost every purchase. Also the snacks that they mention on the VIP levels are merely bottled water and candy. The breakfast is muffins and coffee. Not really a balance for the buck.
Beautiful view and very comfortable room in general. We happened to get a room with no hair dryer, but I'm sure they will take care of that.
The Bistro staff took care of my wife as she had to wait until 4 to check in. We have been to the resort in the past, and will return but ( and no offense to Kayak/Priceline) we'll have to book direct with the San Luis if we want the service to be "right" 1. Check in was unpleasant, I felt second rate since we didn't book thru the hotel. We were reminded of this several time.."if you would have booked thru us..." 2. We couldn't check in until 4 pm, even thought the place was very much unoccupied (you can tell, the parking lots were very free) 3. The Steakhouse was expensive, and the steak was the chewiest thing I've ever had. The service was REALLY slow.
The pool is great . The Itialian restaurant was a huge hit with our son saiid the pizza was amazing.
The pool He air condition was super loud and could not sleep. There were roaches in our room.
The resort was great , but I wished they had informed people on their website the pool was closed. That was the main reason we chose that hotel. The staff was great and we were shuttled to he Hilton next door to swim. Rooms comfortable as well.
This hotel was amazing! It met all expectations and then some. The room was updated, and well appointed. Views from the 15th floor were incredible and nearly 360 degrees. The lobby was equally amazing. The pool was our favorite part. It was well heated and comfortable. The air temp was in the high 50s, and we stayed nice and warm in the water. The staff was equally amazing. Angelique (pool staff) was equally charismatic and attentive! She paid special attention to my kids and made the trip even better for them. Overall, a great trip. No refrigerators in the room
leaving the terrible customer surface. the unsafe overly heated rooms for our children. the fact that I still have not received a call back from jake the manager since the night we arrived. we were verbally promised a comp but this has not occurred. our dozens of calls have not been returned
The view, staff were very friendly No makeup mirror in bathroom, additional counter space in bathroom. Very nice but expensive.
The pool was beautiful, though more than one hot tub would have been nice. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff was wonderful. Our bathroom did not look like it had been cleaned very well. There was hair all over the counter and floor when we got there, and we had just walked in.
Super comfy bed and beautiful building. Friendly staff and great pool area.
The heated pool was a nice treat
The staff was friendly from the second we pulled in and through our entire stay. We were there to celebrate a birthday and came back to an awesome surprise in our room after relaxing at the pool all day. While at the pool we had Hope as our waitress and she was awesome. She remembered our names and drinks and constantly made sure we were satisfied. There wasn't a single thing we disliked.
Staff was amazing! We told them it was Our Anniversary and there was champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us when we can back from dinner! The shuttle to the strand was also great very convenient so we could attend Dickens on the Strand! Room was small and there was a wedding going on the night we stayed we could hear all the wedding guests screaming when the bride and groom left at like 11:30pm. It took a whole for the crowd to leave and quit down.
Beautiful hotel, wonderful location. Terrible housekeeping staff and front desk. Managers did comp our breakfast and offered to move us the last night. Too little too late. Lazy housekeeper to busy talking to maintenance men. When we asked why she didn't empty the water from the ice bucket she said she wasn't allowed? Dirty glasses left in the room. No drawer space - literally we had to store our belongings in the night stand. And this is luxury?
excellent location right on the seawall. You can park your own car in their parking garage without the need to valet. staff was nice. The entire facility is very old, the rooms are small, overall dirty due to poor maintenance.
Great location and friendly helpful staff. Bathrooms need some updating.
Nothing the staff never called back over booked and we did not get to stay. They would not return call. We lost 211.00 and never got to stay there. Everything staff promised to call placed on hold multiple times would not assist. Worst experience with a hotel ever.
Great location. Friendly staff. Airy, light room faced the city, and we watched a huge tour boat dock. Live music made it lively and fun in the lobby Friday evening. We parked our car and were surprised by the trash laying around in the parking garage.
Absolutely nothing. Completely unprofessional in the way they handled the entire situation. Best part of my short time there was the valet service. After traveling all day I called them about 10:30 and told them that we were still on our way. They had called me around 6:00pm to make sure I was still coming and everything was fine. When I made the later phone call, everyone at the front desk kept putting me on hold. No one had an answer to why my room was not going to be available. Once someone finally picked up, I was told that there was a water leak and that they had been trying to contact me for the past hour. They told me that all they had on file was a 1-800 number when if fact they had called me several hours earlier. She said that she had been calling a long list of people about it but when we asked how many rooms were damaged... 2 was the given answer. So why would you have a LONG list if it was only two rooms. At that point they were willing to put us up somewhere else but had not already booked a room for us. They said they would call back in five minutes when they had booked us a room elsewhere. After 25 minutes we decided to call back and management told us that they were unsure if they were going to be able to put us up somewhere. Once we got to the hotel they directed us to the San Luis Resort and told us we would be there for the night. When I asked about the other night, the manager was confused and not sure what to say. It was a terrible experience all the way around. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Management is better at a fast food restaurant...
Beautiful hotel and beautiful views. Love the Hotel Galvez and sister property Tremont. Never miss an opportunity to stay when the rates are low.
Check in was a breeze thanks to the friendly front desk staff. We then went up to our room and I couldn't believe how spacious and clean the room was. Beds were comfortable and bath towels were nice and oversized! Mini fridge and coffee maker were a plus too. Headed down to check out the pool, which was beautiful! Plenty of lounge chairs and beach towels were provided. A swim up bar offered drinks and a good menu. Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and more than accommodating. Our 5 year old son uses a wheelchair and everyone was so sweet to him. We were only there one night, but we will definitely be back! I've already told several friends and family about how great the Hilton was! Thanks for everything!
Within walking distance of beaches, restaurants, and any type of eating establishment you would want. For the price of the room, I think breakfast included would have been a nice amenity instead of $16 a person. I went down the street and had a full breakfast for $7.
We have 2 young children and one of them is in a wheelchair so at the last minute we decided to go on a 3 day getaway . The staff was extremely helpful and the hotel layout made it very easy for us to maneuver around with a wheelchair and various bags for the pool or beach. The pool was had a lazy river and at night you can see the volcano from the Rainforest Cafe. We even took a bike ride to Pleasure Pier. Great getaway for the family but the wife and I can see how this could easily be an adult vacation for our likes. Thanks Hilton The balcony view was amazing with the beach and the working volcano. I never approached the staff about this but I was wondering if they could provide some sort of protection on the balconies. My 1 1/2 yr could almost fit through the balcony bars and I understand that this is the job of the parent but it would of been amazing if she cold watch through the bars with out me having a death grip on her lol. Like I said I never approached the staff so they may have a solution.
It was my birthday weekend. We made last minute plans to come in and we had an amazing time. The staff is awesome
Worst bed I've ever slept in.
Too much noisy around our room, family's really loud at night time could not rest well.
Easy check in! Right by the beach! Easy access to the beach! Room very comfortable and luxurious! Would stay again! While asleep rolled over in the bed and was stuck by pen of a name tag that happened to be in the bed of an employee that was open.
Love how all the hotel guests were happy and that restaurant was near Room was extremely too small. Room was too far in the back
Pool Mold mold mold. I was there for a relaxing weekend and the amount of black mold in the bathroom on the ceiling and above the door was shameful. That doesn't happen overnight and that was the excuse I was given and most definitely not work the $600 for two nights. Hilton wouldn't even help rebate and portion because I payed through kayak and not them.
The staff is so friendly, I've never stayed at a more friendly hotel. Every single person working there greeted me with a big smile and " hello, how are you? Hope you have a wonderful day/ evening." Even the house keepers greeted me in the same way. Everyone seemed to love their jobs and are happy to serve. I will definately stay here again. Brenda
The service was great! Pool bar Lina Colodas by far the best on the island! Perfect location! Only thing we wished were better were the pool hours! After dinner on the island it would have been nice to come back to the hot tub for some drinks!
It was very clean and quiet. Nice addition was the transportation to the cruise terminal
The view was breathe taking
The AC was broken and the bathroom door wouldn't shut, as if the door was too big for the frame. Staff seemed drunk also was so loud. Not very clean, we ended up leaving and checking into another hotel at 11:00pm and my husband had a early surgery the next morning.
Proximity to the beach and the view was excellent. Toilet needed repair. The water ran for a long time after each flush and usually required messing with the float and flapper valve to stop the water.
The rooms are quite, clean, and up to date. That staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.
Great location, computers with printer available, nice pool, great club attached, friendly staff. The ice machine on our floor did not work. We had to take the elevator to another floor and trying to get an elevator took forever.
The internet problem was explained why it kept disconnecting Internet could only handle 2 devices at a time. Pool was cold. There was a cold front and they didn't turn on the heater.
I booked one night before our cruise some six months ago. When we arrived at the hotel they told us they cancelled the room and gave it to someone else. When we booked it was under a credit card number that was later stolen and had $5000 worth of charges were made on it. We cancelled that number and received a new card. Little did we known they needed it before we arrived. They did call us on our home phone but we were not home. They did give us a room but it was not the room with a great view we originally had. I understand the problem and the actions they took my dissatisfaction is charging us the same price for a room with a great view of the gulf to a ground floor room with no view.
Double billing issue that I will now have to resolve will never use this website again .. Second time I've had an issue of this sort vCant believe you idiots can't figure a way ...he'll never mind y'all don't care
Clean, great staff, great location. Promised room on floors 4-6, but was assigned room on 1st floor. My wife and daughters traveling alone and did not feel safe on 1st floor right by back entrance near pool.
Waterfront rooms and pool. Plenty of activities for kids. No Continental breakfast
Staff was excellent. Location was excellent. Room was very nice and clean. Wind noise coming through window and door.
The staff was friendly. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We have stayed at this hotel before when we took a cruise this is why we booked again. The hotel was full so we booked through a third party. When we arrived we were told because we booked third party we could only have a room on the first or second floor. we were a little upset that we would not have a view of the ocean but all in all our stay was very nice.
The room sizes were good. The pictures are deceiving in that it looks like there is a pool on site when you actually have to take a shuttle to another hotel. There isn't a restaurant on site only a coffee shop. The rooftop bar is only open after 5:00. The lighting in the room and bathroom was terrible.
The rooms are good. The staff is good. The valet is good. Overall good stay. The bar was very pricey.
Location was great and staff was amazing Our stay was ok except for one major problem. We returned to our room one day to find a blade of the fan laying on our pillow. The blade snapped of at the metal joint and if we would have been asleep it would have been really bad since the fan was on. Got a new room but worried that night it could happen again and affected our sleep.
Beautiful rooms. Pictures don't do them justice.
Beautiful place to stay, excellent staff vary professional.
The Tremont is a beautiful and comfortable hotel. The lobby, cafe', and sitting areas are welcoming. Live pianist plays in the European style lounge area. The rooms are beautifully appointed. Tall ceilings and flowing draperies; antique furniture and classic wall treatments. I recommend this hotel to everyone!
We liked the setting, the history, the looks. No parking area, a little noisy at times.
Staff was excellent!
I loved the musicians in the lobby
The hotel was beautiful. My room was very comfortable and the service was great.
Proximity to The Strand Entrance is not handicap accessible. Only stairs available.
The location is excellent for night life, restaurants and boutiques. It's very convenient if you're departing or arriving from a cruise. The historic aspect is impressive. We had an inner room facing the courtyard and the noise from the bar area earlier in the evening was a bit distracting. The jazz band was enjoyable, but we were tired and just unwinding from a long day. The low flow toilet was also a drawback.
let just say what's not to like, this place was a blast No microwave was the only thing
Air went out the 1st night and didn't have hot water the next morning. Room issues and inflated prices
We have stayed at All the finer Hotels on Galveston Island. Moody Gardens is by far the Nicest, cleanest and updated Hotel on the island. We were in town meeting with a Real Estate agent and decided to give Moody Gardens a try since we had never stayed there. We were Pleasantly Surprised. This Hotel was Spotless and the staff was more than friendly and seemed Happy to be there. We couldn't stay longer. This Hotel is Not on the beach so that might be a drawback for some. It does however have the waterpark which is the bomb for kids.
The room was immaculate, fresh and updated. The lobby, cafe and upstairs lounge were also comfortable and well furnished. The grounds were beautifully manicured. We were able to come and go to the convention center without having to go outside. The tour through the Rain Forest was intriguing. Thank you for the efficient shuttle service. I wish we could have stayed longer. The time it took to check-in was longer than average. The cafe waitress at breakfast was unacceptably slow to attend. Thankfully a bus boy stopped at our table to ask if we'd been helped, then went to get someone to get us menus. Our meals arrived barely warm. We had to ask for water during the meal also. The cafe service did not match the luxury of the rest of our stay.
Very Kid Friendly, lots of Activities, Close to Everything Galveston has to offer. Water pressure to the showers is pretty weak.
Cleanliness atmosphere the hospitality
The room decor and comfort was nice. What followed was distressing...... My purse was stolent in front of the reception desk. I spoke out openly in the lobby stating, " My purse was stolen help!" No one came to help. I went to the reception desk and said the same thing, described the purse to the receptionist at the checkin desk, and she asked me what i wanted her to do. Shocked, I went to the bell desk and repeated that my purse had been stolen asking if they'd seen anything. The woman at that desk didn't get up or so much as ask me a question. A friend and I apprehended the thief who'd stolen my purse and was awaiting her car in vallet. Yes she was a hotel guest. Mr. Davilla from Security arrived, took her license plate and said he'd call the police. He was the only one who stepped in to help us. My children were scared watching this all unfold. Especially my little boy who tried to help me spot the person who took my purse as I didn't get any assistance from Hotel personal for several minutes. We were left to our own defenses.
It was walking distance of everything we didnt have to worry about parking and getting sand in the car There were cockroaches at night in the room just a few but they were on the bed yuck
The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We arrived the morning of our check in day, knowing our room was probably not ready, but we checked anyway. The receptionist said the room was not ready at that time but that she would call us when it was ready. Less than two hours later, we got a call saying our room was good to move into. The location is great, on Seawall Blvd, next to a few restaurants, a gas station/convenient store with drinks and snacks, a bike rental place, and an ice cream store. Able to leave your car and walk around a bit or rent bikes. Only a mile or so from Pleasure Pier. The pool area is relaxing, it may look small on pictures but it is a good size for the hotel. Enough lounging chairs to sit in and free towels at the pool with a towel return, which was very convenient. The free breakfast was great, and even had a waffle maker, which my husband loved! Water pressure in the shower was good, sheets smelled and felt clean, safe in room. My bath towel in the room had a few long hairs on it upon unfolding it, but smelled clean. No tissues, but I could have asked for some with no problem.
I loved the breakfast and scenery. The fact that its right ny attractions and food places. My room had water roaches everywhere. Any drink or foid that we left out had baby roaches in them.
Cheap price Everything else
bed bugs in my room!!!!!!
Great staff Rooms could be a little cleaner
The price was good, but you get what you pay for. I did not like that we only had one towel and phone was not working. Their was a stain I do not know if it was blood or something else. When I called the front desk, they did not sound as if they were worried about the problem, the next morning I went to the front desk and I asked for towels I still had to wait in my room to get my towels because she said that she needed to find some. The stay was okay, since we only needed to stay for the night and they need to be more aware since there rooms from ours to the north was propel smoking marijuana.
My whole family loved The hotel especially the heated pool. Nothing.
Across from ocean Very dirty no towels at all anywhere nothing worked
They "upgraded" the rooms. Scary to see what it looked like before. Cockroaches everywhere! Still felt like it slums! Ants in bathroom!
Heater didn't work, no hot water, wifi did not work well at all.
IT was the cheapest place to stay in Galveston that week. It was ok. The beds were comfortable, but the bedspread in my non smoking room had a cigarette burn in it.
Very clean, well kept motel. The staff was great . Had problem with toliet, staffer maranda trued to fix but it was beyond her ability. Needed snake. She moved us to another room down from original room . No problem after that.
The location, nice clean pool. No hair dryer and no coffee pot.
Liked how everything you need is right there! 2 restaurants, bar, oceanfront, & just a great place! Recently upgraded rooms were plush!! Customer service is a top priority here!! Got our 3rd night free when we booked 2 nights... Hell of deal!! Diamond in the rough, we will Definitely come back!! Still upgrading other rooms, some construction noise, & rooms were a little tight but very plush.
Our reservation got mixed up, thought I was booking and apartment room, and turned out to be regular room. Booking was a little confusing. All worked out, the person who booked the room I wanted did not want all that, so we sere able to get the room we wanted. Booking certain rooms is confusing. The maid staff was mediocre, trash outside the room for over 24 hours, not as clean as it had been the previous year. Pool staff was wonderful, pool was great, love the bar, easy access to the beach. Would definitely return, but would like a little more attention to cleanliness. Our reservation got mixed up, booking was confusing. Maid service was slow and only mediocre, trash left outside too long. Breakfast was ok for free, the ladies serving were very pleasant and helpful.
The pool and outside pool bar and staff were awesome, completely different from hotel and hotel staff The Manager at the front desk, an older gentleman named Chris was one of if not the rudest person I have ever come across in the customer service business. I will NEVER go back there again. I was trying to ask him a question about a personal business matter and he answered me very rudely and loudly so that everyone could hear, which I thought was completely unprofessional and so did others. You are basically paying for location and the pool, which is really awesome. The bartenders were all great, especially Caleb. I will definitely go back to the bar, but not the hotel. I was very upset and it almost ruined our trip. The breakfast and breakfast staff was really awful and I'm not a picky person. It is complimentary, but I would rather pay for something edible. The only person that worked for the hotel that I felt like had any manners was one of the maids.
Was close to beach had plenty of activities for kids had bar, pool, and restaurant all at suite where we didn't have to drive I opened a tab at bar with credit card and think they were adding drinks on my tablet as motel, bar, and restaurant all together in think they all putting things extra on cards
Nice staff. Pool curfew was enforced! :-) Old, cheap. You get what you pay for.
Personally speaking the bed was to soft. I think they should have stopped the Dozer work at night, they worked all night and was very annoying. But the beach will be better. That is all.
The only pro to this hotel was the location. It is old, dated, run down, nasty, uncomfortable bed, horrible staff. This was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed.
Nice Staff! Clean Room! Price is Decent! Parking Lot is weird.
Location The facilities are fine, but with everything the hotel just missed doing a good job. they tried but missed. ie -trash was picked up but then the black trash bags were left outside the fence by my balcony for two days. There was one and then the next day another two were added. Didn't understand that.
I loved the pool and location. The pool was huge and really nice. Had a 2 ft play area for the kids and a deep part for adults along with a big hot tub that was next to the bar area where you were able to get drinks and food. They also had an happy hr which was awesome. Discount food and drinks during the time. So to me it was perfect for us adults and kids. I loves how is was on the main strip and right across from the beach. Everything was a walk or quick drive away I really didn't have any negative things to say. The rooms could use an update but I'm sure the pool is really new and the rooms will come in time. But honestly they weren't in bad shape either. NOT dirty or ran down just could use a little update. They did have free breakfast which was small and odd but it's free and gave me one less meal to pay for. All around not that much to complain abot. Will definitely be staying there again when we go back
Room and clean, quiet, and WAY bigger than I expected. The only small thing is that it's hard to get into and out of the hotel parking lot due to traffic and the way the streets are arranged. Not the hotels fault, bust something to be aware of.
comfortable bed clean bathroom clean room decent size balcony responsive A/C nice staff convenient parking access to beach price TV quality and image was average breakfast over too early first set of room keys didn't work
Friendly staff Bed hard
I don't know, it was ok It was okay, and fairly nice. Would have given it maybe 4 stars if it hadn't had been for the leak in bathroom. We arrived and my wife had to go to the bathroom, we found out after the fact that there was crappy water dripping from the vent above the toilet onto our toilet seat as well as the floor. When I mentioned it to the front desk that it was leaking from the toilet on the third floor onto our toilet, all I got was "that is nasty sir, we will get the maintenance man to look into it". THAT'S IT!! No we're sorry would you like a complementary "something " or we'll take some off your bill or we'll refund some of your money for the inconvenience. That's a health violation and fourtantly I took some pictures
Excellent location near the beach, restaurants and shopping Need better breakfast options
Room was very nice and comfortable, breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff was extremely nice. The TV/appliances in the room was well maintained and nearly new. Would use again for vacationing. Internet wifi was worthless, I had difficulty even staying connected, even to get email I had to switch to my phones hotspot. The only other issues was that around the tub there was mold, which I thought was a bit gross. Everywhere else in the hotel room was extremely clean and well kept.
room was large with two queen beds, table and two chairs, The staff was very pleasant and responsive to requests. not beach front
Very nice room. Comfortable bed!
Cheap and good location close to beach No hot tub
Nice place to stay for the price. Very busy and small breakfast area.
Overall very satisfied. "Oceanfront" rooms do not have a great view of the ocean, as the hotel is about a block away from the waterfront (the "strand"). The walk to the strand is very short, though, so taking an inner room was fine with me. Room could have had better lighting.
There was nothing good about this hotel. This is not a beach view hotel. I had a better view of the cemetary. When I asked to change to a higher room I was told no. This hotel should be a 1 star. The rooms were very run down.
Very clean hotel in a convenient location...the staff was extremely nice and the breakfast was excellent. It's an older building but well kept and quite popular.
Convience to local attractions. First time there in Galveston . I love the area overall. The only thing I would say is parking was limited and had to squeeze around other cars in the tiny area. Room was very small for the price. We had to share swimming pool facilities with other hotel next door and not enough towels in the bath room
Value and ocean view. The staff was very nice. Nothing was wrong
Balcony was great. Rooms were spacious and clean. Parking was limited close to hotel. Had to park in a parking lot that was shared with another hotel.
Very clean and very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful We were confused upon arrival, thought our reservation was for 2 beds, but there was only one and we had a toddler with us. Had we known the room came with a single bed, we would have mentioned that we had a toddler, but because it did not, we did not.
Conveniently located also very close to Wal-Mart and other shopping. no
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Extremely clean...very comfortable. No...the staff went out of their way to accommodate us.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The carpets in the hallways and elevator were dirty. I couldn't find a clean table in the dining area. The eggs were hard & dried out - must have been in the warmer too long. Without automatic doors it is difficult to maneuver with luggage. Old & wornout.
We were going on a cruise out of Galveston and this hotel provided a convenient location at a reasonable price. No fault of the hotel, but it is anchored to a dying mall (Mall of the Mainland), so it's kind of like a ghost town. There is a good burger joint nearby (Beyond Burgers) and several other fast food establishments as well as a Super Wal-Mart are nearby.
STAFF!! LOCATION!! NOTHING
The beds were comfy and the room was clean..a little outdated and we were looking forward to the indoor pool but the water was cold and the spa was not working that part really sucked! The breakfast wasn't so great either. The room was a little outdated and the indoor pool was a disappointment the water was cold and we expected it to be warm..no heat and the jucuzzi/spa was out of service..the breakfast wasn't the greatest either!
The location worked well since we got in late and was sailing out the next morning. The room looked clean but had a musty odor and the linen had an odd smell as well.
Friendly staff, nice clean room and easy to get to from the highway !
Neat and clean. Would recommend it. N/a
breakfast was good the website showed a ref microwave in room no such luck had too throw away some food
Absolutely nothing!!! Cockroaches were all over my room -- adult & baby cockroaches! I also requested a microwave & refrigerator and never received. (ask 3x) These were provided in previous Fairfield's. I work with school districts all over Texas.
It was better than rated & location was excellent No
Quiet Renovations. Staff didn't seem in a good mood.
The staff was outstanding. It certainly was not a 2.5 star hotel. More like a 2 star hotel. It smelled very musty and I was constantly sneezing. I've stayed at much nicer Fairfield Inns. Construction was going on so I hope it improves this place.
Price compared to other hotels on Labor Day weekend Bathroom was outdated.
Everything was great but I especially liked the excellent room furniture, pool hours, the staff friendliness and great breakfast. No.
Nice friendly staff, ease of check-in, clean Too far from Seawall.
The staff was wonderful!!! They were very helpful!!! Fitness center was small and didn't have very many workout options
The front desk staff was amazing. I believe her. She was adorable and made my stay a pleasant one. The cleanliness of the restroom.

CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST VERY GOOD AND PLENTY OF VARIETY. VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF. NO
The room was much bigger and cleaner than expected. Excellent, excellent hotel. Would definitely stay there again.
Great hotel & great staff. Na
The room was great. Nice and clean and comfortable bed. They did not have a double bed room so they gave me a king suite which was great. My only complaint is man that was behind the desk at night was not the most friendly. He was a little rude to my wife when we called down for a spare sheet. He just was not very friendly. He was not horrible just not up to the res of the hotel
clean breakfast need improvement
The hotel is very clean, staff was very courteous and helpful, pool was nice and breakfast was fresh and plentiful. There are not many restaurants around the hotel.
Nice , clean ,staff awesome, parking was good and free breakfast as well I liked everything about hotel but room needed a sofa to keep from having to sit on the beds
Very comfortable bed!!! Check out is 11am not 12.
its location the breakfast wasn't the best but it was free
Cleanliness, location, A/C is preset to cool only to a designated temperature. The room was not as cold as we like it to sleep in. They had to bring up a fan. They gave us a room that they had already checked someone else in. Found out at 1130pm at nite when woke up by host.
Very comfy bed, large room with flat screen tv. Large walk in shower, great! No
Staff very nice and helpful.. Room said standard room but only had one bed and no couch as pictures I saw on website. No hot tub but the pool was nice
Everything was super clean, the staff was great. The drive to the beach was not bad. The bed was comfortable and there were pillows marked soft and firm. I really was impressed with the breakfast as well. no
The room was large, clean and perfectly maintained. The beds were comfortable & bedding high quality. Breakfast was lame, lame, however coffee was good.
I loved the decor The front desk agent wasn't friendly and seemed not to want to provide us with info about the hotel.
Very clean, very spacious rooms. Slept like a baby on the comfortable bed. love the design and furniture selection. Have to pay for parking.
Front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was very clean and cozy. Great location for visiting the strand. We weren't going on a cruise but this would be the perfect pre/post cruise hotel. Breakfast was less than desireable. Over the phone, staff seemed less than Interested in helping out and answering questions
We had a wonderful experience .... From the waterfront location, to being able to watch cruise ships come and go....walking to the Ocean Star museum....walking to the Strand...it all was wonderful!
Location, nice room with a good view. The continental breakfast was very lacking. It was put out once, not much of a choice and it was never restocked. We ran out of coffee quickly and no one ever came to even check much less refill it. The pastries were not fresh. Not what we expected for such a nice hotel.
The room was nice and big as well as the bathroom. It is an excellent location for catching your cruise ship. There are plenty of restaurants attached or just a short walk away.
I loved the feel of the hotel, it was sophisticated and modern yet nautical at the same time. We were impressed with how large the room was! The bed was super comfy as well. We really enjoyed our time here. There was no microwave anywhere, even in the kitchen for breakfast. It was a cold breakfast so the least we should have been able to do was warm up a pastry. There was also no refrigerator in the room to save leftovers. The light in the hallway next to the door kept fading on and off throughout the night and we couldn't get it to stop. Instructions for when this happens would be great. Lastly, there was a parking fee that was completely unnecessary... It's not in the middle of downtown at a shared garage or anything where parking is scarce and even the restaurants can't park there...
Rooms were large, clean, comfortable water pressure low, parking
I loved the very stylish rooms and breakfast bar.
Beds were very comfortable and rooms were spacious for my wife, toddler, and myself. Continental breakfast was standard fair: breads, jams, juice. Hotel was very clean and we had a comfortable stay. The front office staff needs an attitude check. Several were not helpful in answering any questions about early check-in.
room where very large and clean. Great location.
It was located perfectly and the staff was top notch. A few minor construction details. A lot of light came in around the door and there was only one elevator.
The indoor heated pool is a great back-up for bad weather in Galveston. The breakfast was ok, there was plenty and the items were regularly refilled. Rooms were comfy, with different pillow options, and towels were soft and fluffy. Sofa area was larger than I expected. Wifi worked well. There really wasn't a heavy comforter on bed, so you may want to bring an extra blanket. I didn't ask for one, so I'm not sure if they have any available. All rooms are studio style, so you cannot close off the beds from the sofa area.
The staff was very nice For the price I will NEVER go back, I have no problem paying for a nice place but this was the worst.
The pool was perfect delicious breakfast spotless turndown service spacious room.
Location, pool, spacious room. We wish Kemah Boardwalk had more things open until 9 pm on Thursday in early November. This was not something the hotel can change, just an observation.
Gorgeous place, lovely staff. Very relaxed, open feel. Lots for kids to do but as a couple we had a lovely, romantic time too :)
We had a great stay and the king suite was amazing!
My girlfriend and I decided last minute to make a trip to the Kemah Boardwalk while I was visiting her. We arrived the Monday after Spring Break and essentially had the whole area to ourselves. It was perfect timing for a little getaway. The hotel was great, very sweet and friendly staff. The room overlooked the water with a cute little balcony. It had a decent sized tub and shower. The decor was nautical yellows and blues. Very quaint but not cheesy. Just very nicely done. I would absolutely stay there again. 8/10 No fridge in the room. We stayed on a week night so everything closed around 9, but we didn't have to fight any crowds. It is noisy because of the attractions but not terrible.
I did not like anything I did not like the cockroaches, the green swimming pool, the hot tub that didn't get hot, the ac that didn't work etc...
Nothing I reserved 2 rooms not knowing that you could not have visitors. That was not stated on the website and of course there was a no refund policy. I will never get a room here!!! The carpet was very dirty and the rooms had a old smoke smell even though I had non smoking.
