The pick up required a trip in a parking elevator, through two doors to a parking garage that locked behind me and then a walk to find the office in a desolate underground garage on a Sunday morning. I found it very scary- and because it was unexpected - stressful.. and there was no way you reach the local office- they didn’t answer the phone. So I hated that and would not pick up from that location again. Otherwise everything was excellent..drop off in Montreal was perfect.. well marked directions- in a garage with an easy to find office.

We went on Friday in person to make sure the van we requested was available given that the previous booking we had to settle for an SUV as the van was not available. Well this time they topped themselves: we went on Saturday to pick up the van but Enterprise was closed. At no point did the clerk indicate on Friday, stressing we went in person, that closing time was 12 o'clock even though we repeatedly stated that we would pick up the van at 2 pm. Is that one star or less?

The rental agency clerk i liked named Oscar, The Truck I booked was not at the rental place i booked at, at some point they realized I was coming in for 12 .00 pm and they had no truck there for me. So they Phoned me and told me they are going to another location and bring one back to the rental place I booked with fine. 2 hrs later the truck was ready. I Did Like the Truck and Oscar THANKS FOR GETTING ME A GREAT DEAL KAYAK WITH PRICELINE

At the moment of the reservation the information I received was that I had to show my drivers license and the credit card used for the reservation. When I arrived at the store (6 months pregnant, with a 1,5 year old daughter after a 16h long journey, with large luggage) the employee did not want to conclude the rental process due to the lack of an international drivers license. Me and my husband researched on all Dollar policies available online and none of them stated this as mandatory. The attendant was totally inflexible and refused to conclude the reservation. Luckyly I was able to find a website that issued the international drivers license instantly, but it was a very stressful experience. For improvements I recommend either to make a clearer list of documents needed for rental, or clarify with the employees what is mandatory and what is not.

On the paperwork, the rental agreement, it clearly stated to bring the Visa Debit Card used to secure the rental, and pay in advance for the extra Insurance, when picking up the Rental. The Rep at Dollar REFUSED, telling me they DO NOT honour such an agreement and I must use a Credit Card. When my Friend offered His Credit Card, they again REFUSED. These guys are scammers!

When I booked I ordered an all wheel drive, the rental collection desk tried to change to a rear wheel drive, but the big issue was they changed my drop off time from 6pm to 5pm even though I never asked them to, I dropped the car off at 5:10pm, only to be billed an extra $50.

I booked through a third party. My car was supposed to be in terminal. It was not. I would’ve had to take a bus or taxi to pick up. Budget does not have shuttle service to off terminal rentals. I ended up paying $100 extra. Service was good and I was upgraded to a better vehicle. Budget was good. Third party booking was not so good.

The staff were friendly enough and did their jobs. I had a one way rental (pick up and drop off at different airports) and the car they gave me had out of date tags, snow tires in July that made a lot of road noise and a potential wheel bearing issue that made the car vibrate on the highway.

In their online listing the agency claimed to be in the terminal at Toronto airport but in fact we had to find our way with poor signage to an airport train that took us to a shuttle pickup which in turn took us to the offsite agency location. The second problem arose at checkin when we were surprised to learn there was a $17 per day fee for a spouse to be a second driver. Both the off-site location and the second driver fee should have had prominent mention in the Expedia listing.
