Book Hertz hire cars in Toronto

• What is the best place to pick up my Hertz car rental in Toronto?

If you are flying into either Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) or Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ), you will find that each of these airport locations offers large rental facilities offering a great choice of vehicles. If, however, you are already in Toronto and you decide you want to rent a car, a better option than going back to the airport is to head to one of the central locations, either on Bloor St. East or Bay St., where you can still choose from a huge selection of vehicle types in a much more convenient way.

• What are some of the benefits of renting a car with Hertz in Toronto?

One reason that so many travellers choose to use a large company like Hertz is that they have such a large presence in a big city like Toronto. What this means for travellers is that if there's any problem with a vehicle, there is generally always going to be a Hertz location close by that can solve your problems, including easily swapping out the problem car for a new rental. This company also offers a great awards program called Gold Plus Rewards that lets members skip customer service lines and earn points towards discounts on future rentals.

• Where is the best place to park my Hertz rental car in Toronto?

Most travellers concerned about parking in a city like Toronto have no worries about parking when they are on the outskirts of town in more suburban areas, as there is generally plenty of parking in these spots. Even though parking can be more challenging in the downtown area and will often cost money, one way to mitigate some of the problems with parking would be to get one of the temporary permits available from the city that can be purchased for a maximum amount of time of up to one week. Purchasing permits means drivers can park quickly and stay as long as they would like without having to worry about feeding a meter.

Better instructions on where to find the Hertz office in Bay Street Toronto would be good. The office was very hard to find.Reviewed 29 Aug 2025

They charged me nearly $800 for a nearly invisible chip on the windshield that I am pretty sure was already there. Hertz refused to release documentation from prior rentals to confirm.Reviewed 19 Aug 2025

I made a review for Hertz, it was quite frustrating. The car I originally rented wasn't available and was given another car which then I found out right after leaving the lots (15 minutes away), the TPMS system was live and the wheel had a metal object lodge into it. Had to go to a different Hertz to exchange it after being on call with corporate for over 45 mins, then when I arrived there was told they didn't want to exchange at first. Half the day went to that and ended up being late for a play that I paid for because of the all of this.Reviewed 12 Aug 2025

My experience with Hertz on Toronto International airport was excellent in general. First car they offered me was a bit smaller for my family and on my request they changed it to a different car. The staff was efficient and polite to work with.Reviewed 14 Jul 2025

The tire pressure was not properly maintained, and the warning light kept turning on. I had a concern that needed to be addressed while driving, so I attempted to contact customer service, but was unable to get through.Reviewed 27 Jun 2025
